Edited by: ChaosOne on 07/03/2005 09:35:38 BATTLE REPORT. 2000 - 0100 hours
Another weekend brought another fresh wave of fleet action this saturday. at 2000 hours DDC and xetic forces set off to lay siege to FOE in there backyard. 2 main fleets were involved and met up in empire and coordinated there attacks. fleet 1 controlled by CLS led the way to OBE with fleet 2 controlled by DDC minutes behind. little resistance was met on the journey until obe was reached and CLS took control of the station area there while ddc (fleet 2, ddc + xetic forces) secured the gate to p3. fleet 2 moved several jumps into 0.0 catching a couple of hapless foe pilots unaware and then recieved an assistance call from fleet 1 who had been engaged by a substantial FOE force in OBE. for the next hours fleet battles ensued from vellaine to obe. FOE forces were cut off from each other , reports of a fleet attempting to reach obe from new caldari were recieved and a blockade to prevent them merging was put in place near the vellaine system and the threat contained. The last battle of the night for fleet 2 was at OBE just b4 0100 hours where significant numbers of FOE had regrouped, fleet 2 subsequently routed the enemy forcing them to retreat.
during the 5 hour campaign OBE and surrounding systems were laid seige to and FOE forced to retreat in almost every engagement.
gf to everyone involved
Battle report ends
p.s theres no doubt gonna be flames heading to this post but o well

As part of the [CLS] group there were definitely some hairy times when we thought we were about to be overwhelemed but it seems a bit of hesitancy on FoE's leadership allowed the CLS and DDC gangs to maintain a fair amount of control in the systems surrounding Obe.
Dunno what happened after I left but it seems Marichek lead a gang of FoE into Empire and probably evened up their losses for the night

Well we had a nice fight in Obe for a few mins, unfortunetly even then we was outnumbered but we still fought on, until we saw the 40 more people come to help Cheers for the tech2 cap rechargers btw.

Gaz, why do u have to drop stuff like "thanks for this" rubbish in this post? The main post is enough flame bait, you're just making sure it gets locked.
This forum regularly has the ENTIRE front page locked, what good is that for the community?
Grow up man.

It was a great fight, FOE are a worthy opponent.
What i hate tho is the childish smack in local and even worse flame on the forums. man get over yourselves its just a game no need to try and prevoke or insult.
I am loving this war with FOE as i feel we are fighting the best of the best but it is spoiled by the silly little people who hang onto those honoured and respected FOE pilots thinking they are even close to as good as them.
Please guys lets keep the honour in the war.

FYI - I verify the 100% accuracy of this Battle Report in that there were no Coalition ships present for any of the above mentioned engangements nor did we even enter OBE last night. -

Alternative viewpoint post
Orders given to break out the heavy ships.
Warp on down to Obe, only stopping to watch some guy get Concordokened for shooting Julien.
Gather on the Obe gate, here a report Xetic are getting pounded on the other side.
Jump in, watch FoE warp to safe and one by one log off.
Camp station p3 gate, even show my bum to at least provoke a fight, nothing doing so warp back to Empire base, to await further orders.

Well you FOE people are getting too predictable. I knew you were going to show up with excuses no matter what would have really happened. Let me get a few things straight.
Fact is, DDC held out to 2 assaults of your fleet in Hakonen. We just stayed there and fought until you guys started warping off. The DDC fleet did not outnumber you and CLS was to keep the Hakonen gate in Nalvula closed should you try to escape. Call us blobers as much as you like, while in fact we took you on with even numbers and had the second fleet cut your escape route. You can call us blobbers if you were that reinforcement fleet stuck in the Vellaine safespot. We did blob that fleet to keep both FOE fleets seperated. You can not critize this decision from a strategical point of view. However, the DDC fleet then decided to move back to OBE as the CLS and newly formed MAZA. fleets were able to handle this situation. Back in OBE the DDC fleet engaged an even sized fleet camping the Hakonen gate. We sat on the gate and fought them while the FOE fleet warped off to the DED station. At that time CLS was called back to Hakonen in order to hold the OBE gate.
Losses on both sides were minimal considering the size of the engagements. To know exactly what DDC lost consult the FOE killtracker and to know what FOE lost consult our killtracker at http://www.ddcorp.org/killtracker
If you didn't yet catch on it and wonder who I am, I was leading the DDC fleet yesterday and the only purpose of this post is to set facts.

Parmizan wasnt the only case of that last night as more than half the fleet randomly logged off or went afk and didnt respond on ts at various times of the night.
ps @ josh - Sorry there was no FOE leadership on last night due most likely to alcohol intake. --------------------------------------------

Thats not true.
1st engagement of the night in obe we warped to the hakonen gate and your fleet jumped through.
1st hakonen fleet engagement when you seperated your fleets we warped in and you lot warped away.
2nd hakonen fleet engagement we were camping the obe gate and the xetic fleet in obe jumped in we had a little scrap then we safespotted.
3rd hakonen fleet engagement we warped at you faught for a minute then we had to warp back out.
Then the xetic fleet left obe and hakonen entirely so the hakonen fleet went to obe to pick up a few guys that just logged on.
1 of your fleets came back and we duked it out in obe for a bit. I had to warp our early in the battle but when I came back xetic had about 9 ships at the gate as did we then the 2nd fleet came in and we dissengaged.
FOE fleet- 7 BS 4 cruisers 4 frigates( that engaged in hakonen ) --------------------------------------------

null
1st hakonen fleet engagement when you seperated your fleets we warped in and you lot warped away.
That's the CLS fleet, not DDC. Sorry, get your facts straight.
2nd hakonen fleet engagement we were camping the obe gate and the xetic fleet in obe jumped in then we safespotted.
That's the DDC fleet, and it is correct.
3rd hakonen fleet engagement we warped at you faught for a minute then we had to warp back out.
Also correct.
Did you miss the fight in OBE at the Hakonen gate?

I discussed what happened with the DDC fleet, you quoted on it and said it was false to come back and talk about CLS? DDC is not CLS, so before you say that what I said is wrong or false you better get your own facts straight. *edit: typos*
