Well, I just saw the trailer for Episode 3 on The O.C (I TiVoed the show and then fastforwarded through it). I gotta saw i'm pretty impressed. So far Episode 3 looks to be shaping up to be the best of the new movies, and maybe better then some of the old.
It looks like the film really focuses on Anakin's turn to the Dark Side, and it looks like it doesn't happen in the last 5 minutes either. We can probably expect to see a good amount of Anakin kicking Jedi ass, and Lucas has said that in the last few minutes of the film he is Darth Vader in full armor and everything.
Overall I'm pretty psyched about this one. Anyone else see it yet?

Looks really great, can't wait for it to come out. Wasn't too impressed with Episode II, but I think this one might redeem the series.

[geek mode]I could have forgiven a lot about the first movie if one thing would have happened...
Darth Maul wasn't "evil" enough. What did he do in that movie that was evil?? At the beginning of "A New Hope", within the first five minutes, Vader is yelling at people, breaking their necks and generally looking about 10 feet tall. "Okay, this is the man not to **** off in this movie! DAMN!"
What did Maul do? When the hangar doors opened and Darth Maul is standing there, he's all noble and crap. He takes on 2-1 odds and everything! That's CRAP!
The doors should have opened and all you saw was a blur, a bunch of red flashes and heard screaming as the Queen's guards were cut down. Then, just as that red saber is about to connect with Padme, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gonn jump his ass and it's on, baby!! You tried to kill Natalie, you bastard!! Err... Padme.. Anyway...
Yeah, that would have been much cooler.[/geek mode]
I really haven't thought a lot about this, nor am I obsessed in any way.

Hopefully, this episode will be dark enough to redeem Episode 1.
I'm looking forward to watching all six films back to back. Then again, I may just wait until I'm old enough to have a colostomy bag before I do that...

I've been rewatching that part over and over again. The tone in Ian McDiarmid's voice is dead one. And I'm glad to hear his Emperor voice hasn't gotten softer with age.

Ep 1 was ok, just not up to star wars silver screen par. Ep 2 was lackluster but did paint a good galactic picture. Ep 3 is what both of them should have been and Ep 3 should have been better. But lucas doesn't care anymore no matter how many lunch boxes he sells. But... ep 3 is going to pwn.

May 19th cannot come fast enough. I've watched the trailer a dozen times now ( ) and damnit, it looks amazing. The voices, the lines, everything *looks* a billion times better than Ep1 and Ep2 (and I even liked both of those). Anakin looks and sounds dark, disturbed, twisted. The expression on Yodas face when hes attacked by the Emperor. The multiple slicings of random Jedi. Anakin leading storm troopers in formation...
As I said I actually like ep1 and 2, minus some parts (Jar Jar and "Annie" in ep1, and the way overblown love story in ep2) but their trailers looked good too.
If ep3 doesnt turn out as good as the trailer I might actually start getting angry at Lucas like so many of my friends were after ep1 and 2.
May 19th: hurry up!

What is really cool is the wookies. They haven't shown much of the wookies in the trailers which means there is something really gonna explode in ep 3.
