It almost seems that football helps create good games, but soccer only makes you dumber towards games. Am I the only one seeing this? Or maybe the "Prince of Persia" and "Assassin's Creed" series ? That's all Ubisoft, a French game company. Or "Heavy Rain", or "Omikron : The Nomad Soul" ? That's Quantic Dream, also from France. ... Yeah, Europe makes quite a few of the games a lot of people think are USA-made :) the stuff i edited out no one cares about besides GTA, no one even cares about lionhead either but i had to edit in bold microsoft = american company ubisoft montreal = french = canadian, not france, those games were made in montreal EA is an american company. nice try though, go europe, you make fantastic games!

Film/TV, though that might just be the UK. Software, and some music. Most of the non-food suff we buy is made in Asia. The fact neither of us seam to make much for export may go some way to explain our current predicament...

Coinops (I believe) also came from the 'states, and probably home consoles also. What I do recall vividly, is that the United States 'buried' the market they created and the only thing which saved it from oblivion was the Japanese console boom, with a fat Italian plumber as the mascot, leading the field. The guts to publish it or not come from the publisher.
