This is a thread for any setups for the Ishkur, hopefully to fill out the Ship Setups sticky.
To start off, heres mine;
High; 3x 150mm rails, (1 Empty slot) Mids; 1 AB, 1 Webber, 1 Cap recharger Lows; 1 Armour Repairer, 1 Energized Nano Membrane, 1 Energ. Thermal Membrane.
Obviously, you fit the best quality equipment you can spare, and fill up on light drones.
The design of this layout is to act as a Point Defense in small fleet PvP (with a shooting range of 30km+, using long range ammo and fast drones), or to act as a sniper in PvE. The webber is there if things get close and chaotic. There isn't enough CPU/grid to fit a Nos in the empty high slot, but it isn't needed that much.
I find the Ishkur good for people who want a relatively cheap (isk and skillpoints) assault frig. Please post your ideas on this little frig here. |

1. you cant fit all that if using tech2 gear 2. Why u need a thermal hardener? 3. ur cap runs out really fast 4. u need a scrambler or u wont have any victims 5. 150mm tracking isn't good go with 125mm II's

My current PvE setup:
High 2x 125mm Railgun II 125mm Prototype I Gauss Cannon Nosferatu
Medium Afterburner Webby Cap Recharger
Low Small Armour Repairer II Armour Hardener Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
Unfortunately, the 125mm prototype uses a different god damn graphic to the 125mm T2s and it ****es me off no end, so I'm gonna have to rework it. Probably swap the hardener for a cap power relay and the cap recharger for another webby (to get rid of Inties as quickly as possible so the battleships don't nail you when you're webbed).
PvP
High 3x 125mm Railgun II Nosferatu
Medium Afterburner Webby Scrambler
Low Small Armour Repairer II Cap Power Relay Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
It's for small scale PvP, to make sure all the enemy frigates and inties die. She struggles against other Assault Frigates though, so watch it. Dropping the nos and swapping the 125mms for 150mms might be a good idea, but I'm reluctant to do this without a tracking bonus.
Cap isn't really such a problem, fights on this scale are usually short enough for it to be ok, and against other AF's you can just get within nos range and you're sorted. Against Caldari AF's this is a must, it's the only way you'll break their tank if they're using a Gistii booster (just one nos is enough to unbalance them).
Bring some form of long range ammo (Uranium or Tungsten) incase a Crow webs you and orbits at 20km. You should be ok if they sensor dampen you thanks to the good locking range (unless they use two, then you're ******.)
Don't forget the drones. I usually use Acolytes for PvP, but Hobgoblins go way better with the colour scheme.
Tbh, the Enyo would be a better choice if the Ishkur wasn't so much prettier. The tracking bonus + extra PG makes fitting 150mms realistic and the extra low means better tanking (or just an extra damage/tracking mod).

I assumed he meant Mediums. I like Lights though (use 9) because it's cool to have so many drones orbitting so fast. They also go places faster and track better.

Yeah, I meant mediums
Don't really need the drones vs inty's and I think the mediums do a bit better against cruisers.

Ishkur setup that kicks ass :D
Hi: 3x Neutron Blaster II Diminishing small nos (9 grid) (9,2 every 3 second)
Mid: AB II X5 Webber Cap recharger II
Low: Small Armor Repair II Armor Hardener II Micro Aux (Giving you 12,5 PG because of your engeneering skill)
5 Warrior 5/4 Acolyte all about how good your drone and Asssault ship skill is
You will use 57/57 PG
Maybe get a _ber named Armor Repair using 1 or 2 less grid (if 1, maybe fit a "knave" small nos using 8 PG) and then fit a Gistii AB, you really want to get as much speed as possible because YOU need to get in range
Your 9/10 drones will******any Inty that should come by since you will be able to keep up your hardener and small armor repair forever or something likely

I think I just try again made the WRONG calculations,
Ishkur setup that kicks ass
Hi: 3x Neutron Blaster II (49,5 / 36 PG) Small "Knave" Nosferatu I (15 CPU / 8 PG)
Mid: Gistii AB (15 CPU / 13 PG) X5 Webber (21 CPU / 1 PG) Cap recharger II (12,5 CPU / 1 PG)
Low: Shadow Sepentis Small Armor Repair II (4 CPU / 5 PG) Armor Hardener II (40 CPU / 1 PG) Micro Aux (15 CPU) (Giving you 12,5 PG because of your engeneering skill)
5 Warrior 5/4 Acolyte all about how good your drone and Asssault ship skill are
You will use 65/65 PG and 157 / 193,75 CPU you wont need the Best CPU skills though
Your 9/10 drones will******any Inty that should come by since you will be able to keep up your hardener and shadow Serpentis small armor repair for a loong time
You could ofcourse fit a AB I that takes 3 PG less and get an Energized Plating and a normal T2 small armor repair
you could use a _ber named Resistance plating too (35% res) (when using the Gistii)
and I am Caldari, so I don't normally mess around with Armor tank Likely first time i try...
I hope you wont knock me down, but dont you think its a nice setup?

Highs: 4 NOS
Mids: Webber Scrambler 1mn AB
Lows: Armor Rep Exp Hardner Adaptive Nano
This setup any frig that gets in range is toast as they will not be able to get away or keep fireing on you...your drones are your only offensive power so I like to run a mix of all 4 damage types for the small drones. Sometimes Ill run 5 medium drones just to changes things up a little.
If you wanted to change this I would add 1 blaster or a 75mm rail (i love these as they track faster than larger rails and have a high rof and good range (about 6k)) to the highs. Since drones wont attack pods this may be a good option to have.
I have taken out 2 ceptors at one time with this setup. While I pounded the **** out of the first with my drones the second one was not able to hurt my tank enough before I turned my attention to him.
This setup works in a support role...as in supporting your drones. . . . "Come now, my child, if we were planning to harm you, do you think we'd be lurking here, beside the path, in the very darkest part of the forest?" -Kenneth Patchen "But Even So" |

I got my ishkur not too long ago, and I love it.
High: 3 x light ion II's 1 x small 'knave' energy drain
Mid: 1 x ABII 1 x warp scrambler 1 x webber
Lows: 1 x armor repair II 2 x cap power relays
Last night 3 frigs and a caracal tried to attack me, and I killed them all with this setup. ---------------------------------- I <3 mining. |

PvE setup:
3x light ion II. 1 named small nos.
Gistii AB. Named hardener. Gistii Shield Booster.
Mag Stab II (think it'll fit, I use a faction one). 2x PDS II/named.
It just rocks. When dealing with serps I change the hardener for a boost amp, but you need expensive stuff for it to fit).

I think that's the way the ship is meant to be used. How do you deal with long range ceptors though?

I dont like it when the opponet can dictate to me whether or not they engage me... as I wouldnt be fast enough w/ only a t2 ab on to close in on a enemy and using blasters, so I'd have to wait till they wanted to engage me....
My setup so far (needs tweaking) 3 125mm t2 1 mwd t2 1 scram (20k one) 1 webby (langour or bettter) 1 armor rep 2 1 cap relay 1 energized exp plate
just barely fits, tbh im not impressed w/ this ship, id much rather fly my enyo
there are you happy now, my sig fits every rule. Now, no delete me pls, I promise to be good!!!11010101!! |

Use rails.
Ship gets a bonus to optimal range, which isn't much use on a blaster (falloff bonus would be and would indicate that it's a blaster ship).
That's not to say it can't be used with blasters, but any decent interceptor/frig pilot will just keep out of range, leaving you with the difficult task of trying to get close.

Ah yes indeed. I was so keen on getting the ship for its drone bonuses that I completely failed to see that. 10% optimal range means nothing with Blasters. Also, the fourth High slot led me into thinking this ship was designed to be kitted out with Blasters exclusively: What would you fit in there other than a Small Nos (5400 m). Or ninja smartbomb anyone

You can still fit a Small Nosferatu in there in case anyone gets close, or you could use a small remote armour repairer so you can repair your own drones while out in space.
My old setup was:
High: 3x 125mm Prototype Gauss, 1x named small Nosferatu
Med: Named 1MN AB, best webifier you can get, 7.5km Warp Disruptor (I'm loathe to use it as a tackler but, more often that not, you need something on there to keep the target in place)
Low: Small Armour Rep II, Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II (passive +20% to all resists), Energized Reactive Membrane II (passive +37.5% to explosive damage resistance)
Used a mixture of med and light drones (2 med, 5 light) but choice of drones is based on preference.
It's a decent all-round setup, but lacks real punch - if you want to add 125mm Railgun IIs and a damage mod, you'll have to sacrifice your defence accordingly.

I mostly fly an Enyo (with rails, duh) and love it, but I recently got an Ishkur and I've been thinking about layouts. Not sure yet, but I think blasters is the way to go with this ship. Why? The Enyo will always be the better rail platform, especially since it gets the tracking bonus, Ishkur will always be a poor shadow - unless there's some trick I'm missing.
So, go for a different config with blasters, like some of the setups posted here. Sure, you won't be able to catch any fast movers, but you do have 9-10 light drones and those *will* catch pretty much anything. Let your drones kill the small stuff and go in close to the bigger targets with blasters is my plan at the moment.
The only real problem is missiles. The Enyo has a laucnher slot, and the rocket launcher full of defenders has saved me more than a few times. With Ishkur... dunno. Maybe a t2 small smartbomb? Or just tank the missiles and use nosfe instead. Will have to test.
The Ishkur's a nice ship, but so far it seems to lose out in most respects to the Enyo. Pity, that.

i think of the ishkur as an upgraded taranis i went up against my mate in a harpy with my ishkur and basically got creamed even tho i had t2 guns and he didnt i tried both 125'2s and 150'2s and i found very little difference (by i couldnt break his tank) meanwhile he broke into my armour i was able to tank for a while then ran out of cap... we are going to have a rematch soon but with me in an enyo... bottom line i like the taranis but not the ishkur.. i guess this ship isnt for everyone...

i use really noob setups on mine but works well vs ceptors and such... also very good vs cruisers.. but i would get my a$$ handed to me by another assult ship but it can't catch me.
its pretty fun to fly but has 0 tank and does ****ty damage...
i use it like a ceptor... does better then a tranis and can take about 2-3 ceptors at the sametime.
more or less use it as a tackler.
setup unknown.

I fit
2x Electron Blaster II 2x Knave Nosferatu
1x AB II 1x X5 Webber 1x 20k Scrambler
1x Dmg Mod 1x Rep II 1x Explosive Membrane
The Trick is to get in close... Range of only 700m with Antimatter charges... the point of this setup is to wear your enemy down... slowly nossing them and orbiting with your drones going... this setup has really worked for me taking out some cool ships but obviously dont take on too much

Im a blaster-boy, I used small neutrons at first, but then I wanted a 400mm nanofiber plating, so they had to go.
My current setup for PVE: 3x Small Anode Ions 1x Small EMP Smartbomb II (good for popping rogue drones)
1x 'Langour' stasis 2x shield resistance modules (I had to fit something that didn't need any grid on med slots =/ )
1x Micro Auxiliary 1 1x 400mm Nanofiber Plating 1x decent Small Armor Repairer
8x Warrior light drones (gonna train 10 of them eventually)
Speed : 285m/s Shield : in the 350hp range, although decent resistances Armor = over 1000hp Structure = 906hp
This is most likely a crappy setup, but I like it. The trick is to sail in smoothly into a crowd, continously bombard the enemy shields with EMP and blast their armor with Antimatter. I always pick one target, web it and circle around it. As this setup doesn't allow the ship to move very fast, it will take lots of hits, but being tech 2 means it has enough resistance to survive the last enemy. For faster targets that tends to keep distance : the warrior drones does the trick, eventually. I find this ship to be very durable and fairly effective for what I use it for. It is sort of a sloppy killer, but it doesn't leave a mess. I think of it as "one step at a time, I steadily remove bits from your armor, and then I singe your skin".
