It seems there have been numerous instances of cable theft and damage over the last week and it is heavily impacting some parts of BT's network. Looks like the ones to blame are the thieving so and so's stealing copper cabling. ISD Type40 Lt. Commander Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department |

Indeed, it appears there are issues with the Fibre system as well.
For those of you affected by this, you may well want to keep an eye on this website and perhaps consider contacting BT directly. I wish you the best of luck getting your service restored properly and getting back in the game ISD Type40 Lt. Commander Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department |

Hi,
Just to be clear, are people getting this when they log-in or during the game itself ?
I can consistently create a socket closed error by launching the full client and then not actually logging in for a few minutes. If I leave it for a while before actually clicking the login button, I will get a socket error. Subsequently it logs in fine though.
It'll be really helpful if you can clarify which case you're getting!
Thanks and fly safe. ISD Suvetar Captain Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department |

Have to "Force Quit" and restart...
Are you running the Macintosh client ?

Hi,
Just to let you know, I've raised a petition with the connectivity team and asked if they'd mind double checking and posting a reply here.
They are aware that some people are having problems, but there's no indication of where the problem is, at the moment.
Hope everyone manages to get back in the game as soon as possible.
Thanks. ISD Suvetar Captain Community Communication Liaisons (CCLs) Interstellar Services Department |

Most of the feedback we have received seems to indicate that BT have resolved the problem and connections are possible to maintain.
If we receive any further reports of connection issues from BT customers we will contact our network admins and ask them to contact BT directly to emphasize the problem still exists.
