Edited by: SirSpectre on 16/03/2005 21:58:47 Im a ship collector and mission runner. I do missions for Federation Customs (gallente). Im wondering how many points, and what level agents give out faction ships. I like doing level 2 mission for some weird reason, tho i can use level 4 and have 2m sp in gunnery . Is it possible to get a Comet or something else from it, or am i s*** out of luck?

you can get a ship from any gallente agent, you just need 75k lp. It might take a while with a level 2, but as long as you are having fun go for it.

As long as the agent work for a corp which is member of a faction you want the ship from, sure. You just need the LP's and luck to get the offer.

You get faction ships only from agents working for the Navy of the faction (Caldari Navy for Caldari, Amarr Navy for Amarr empire ...). For Pirate factions u have a 'trading' and a 'fighting' corp of the pirates (True Poer is the fighting, True Creations the trading/building part of Sansha's Nation for example). There only the fighting part gives out a faction ship. I asked a developer because i made also missions for a wrong corp of Caldari and wondered that i get no faction ship offer (was over 200k LP at the agent).

Hmm, actually you can work for any corp of the appropriate faction. The faction ship offers are configured so that they are faction based, not corporation or division based.

All corporations have always given out faction ships. Some of the first faction ships came from Non-Navy corps ---------------------------

It's been the case for ages. Ministry of Assessment regularly gives out Amarr faction ship offers.

I'm a bit confused by what constitutes FACTION for an agent corp. I'm running missions for Carthum Conglomerate assuming its Amarrian and will put me in line for Amarrian ships. I see nothing in the corp description sayings is "faction" for Amarrian ships.
When I click the Amarr logo on the Carthum description and click the "Member Corps" tab it does show Carthum listed there. Does that mean its faction for Amarr and thus I can earn Amarr Navy issue ships?

Yup, All major races in eve are 'factions', Ie Amarr Empire, Gallente Federation, Sanshas Nation, Serpentis. Each of these factions has a bunch of corporations under them which can be viewed on the 'member corps' list on a faction profile. ---------------------------
