While I've got to agree that this war should be fought in the open with honor..... good job Hamish. While, I'm not a thief and do not plan to be..and don't hold any truck with them...you've given the Amarr dirtbags something to think about for a while. Good job.

Rather, it is about the value of the medal. Golan Trevize is a member of the Order of the Sacred Throne. The absence of his medal does not alter this fact.
You sure about that Rodj? How do you know that by so clumsily losing the medal, the ultimate proof of his membership of the order, Golan will lose the respect of his fellow Sacred Throne members, and will be cast out of this order in disgrace?
Nyah HAH! Didn't think about that one, did ya??
I'm sure that that is not true. Did the recipients of Imperial Apocalypses / Armageddons and Gold / Silver Magnates stop being the victors of the Amarr championships when they sold their ships? Of course not! It is only the Emperor who can remove this honour, and I don't think that we're at that stage yet.
But even if it were true, Golan Trevize is the sort of man who would take this on the chin, and then go out and win himself a replacement medal.

And I'm sure that the Amarr crews who survived the battle of Vak'Atioth and were then executed and their houses disbanded, as well as the Amarr captains who had died in that battle and were posthumously dishonourably discharged from the Imperial navy and their families disgraced forever, merely for doing their duty and became victims to an outrageous lie, simply took it on the chin, huh?
If Golan was disgraced from the order, then he'd never become honourable to the Amarr again. Your Empire has proven that time and time again... ---------------

Oh really, Konstantin. Perhaps this will say otherwise. Perhaps the bit that says:
Originally by: The few that retreated would later be executed for cowardice, their families enslaved and their Houses disbanded.
would be of interest.
Although because this is a Concord-certified description of the events and not a CVA-certified description, you'll still probably write it off as lies, knowing your staggering sense of pride...

Wait a minute...let me get this right...I managed to make an Amarrian admit he was wrong?? I FINALLY managed to convince an Amarrian CVA member, to finally admit that he was WRONG ON SOMETHING!!

*Does a happy dance*
Anyway, back to the topic on hand, I hope the obtaining of this trinket helps boost morale among the Ushra'Khan. Maybe I'll borrow it and wear it during one of my televised table dances just to annoy the Amarrians even more... ---------------

normally a thief no matter what rank, race or heritage can only be treated one way: execution by slow means. this cross however brought up a unique case and i will submit myself to the judgment of more senior CVA members.
oh and don't get me wrong 'freedom-terrorists' taking your borthers and sisters into slavery some thousand years ago was no theft but a pure act of mercy. maybe their tattoo might have brought them a harsher fate than our caring slave education facilities...

I agree...bringing them into slavery a thousand years ago, could be called mercy. However...today..its a little different. I personally think we should have been left alone. If we developed slow...then we developed slow. Its dangerous to develope as a culture too fast. Bad things can happen.........

Ouch! Golan my friend you'll never live this down.
Tribal Trust has made a clever move, I'll give them that much. Please try not to stress yourselves, Praetorians. It is after all but a trinket. You are being tested, you know. How much does a material possession matter to you, when our just rewards in life lie in the hereafter?
I am sure CVA will not stoop to negotiating with terrorists, and bartering the souls of those so close to enlightenment.

Does PIE really believe the Emperor would have them place greater value in a sliver of polished metal than the ideals for which it represents?

This is a low blow, so low that i thought it beyond the Minmatar terrorists , however now the CVA stance towards these wretched thieves will have to be changed from some degree of respect to TOTAL WAR.
Negotiations for the recovery of the Throne order will beging , i will recover my "trinket" and restore the Emperors and my honour this artifact must not be in the hands of filthy minmatar dogs and Hamish will pay .....dearly.

Quote: "Negotiating with terrorists is utter weakness, and fatally fractures the very core of your being. The medal became a casualty of war the moment their filthy, disease-ridden hands became in posession of it; do not consider reclaiming that which is forever lost. "
The medal is much more then just a "trinket" and it is not forever lost. Slaves are merely slaves regardless of lineage. The medal is on the other hand representative of the Emperor Himself. Presented on behalf of the Emperor by the Imperial Chamberlain himself it is the highest award an Amarrian can receive. In fact in my lifetime I have only seen it awarded twice.... both times relating to the return of the Imperial Apocalypse.... once to the CVA and Admiral Trevize and once to the gentleman who returned the ship itself.
The Sacred Cross of the Throne Order is about history, honor and loyalty, while some may dismiss the thought of negotiation I disagree. The Medal will be recovered by whatever means possible. What are the lives on 500 slaves in comparison to something that is of the Emperor Himself.
Negotitation is not a sign of weakness at all. In fact I believe a willingness to negotiate for something so valuable is a sign of determination to do whatever required to retrieve that which is so holy. Certainly the CVA has taken a blow below the belt in this instance. Still it has recovered from far worse times and time and time again the CVA has returned even more powerful and determined to fulfill its mission. To assert it fatally fractures the core of our being is a complete misunderstanding of what the medal represents and what it means to the CVA. It fractures nothing rather fuses even stronger the resolve to take the fight to the terrorists and bring the heathens to justice.
If anything we are stronger then before because of this trial. Perhaps this is all a test by God to again determine the worth of Amarr. As the medal is representative of God's representative... the Emperor... perhaps God is testing to see if we just abandon the Emperor medal and by default abandon God? Or perhaps He is watching to see if we do whatever is necessary to recover that which is holy and steeped in history?
The medal will be recovered. 500 slaves mean nothing in comparison. There is no alternative.
Then unleash the dogs of hell for the fury of CVA will be revealed.

Hold on, hold on, hold on.
Let me see if I got this right. A dapper gent walks into old man Trevize's estates, gives old Rex a pat on the head and does a limbo under the motion detector beams, lifts a glorified lapel-pin out of that nice decorative vault behind his bedchamber, and you call this terrorism?
As far as terrorism goes, this non-event is rather lacking on trademark explosions, dead bodies and otherwise violent shit usually associated with acts of terror - I mean, you must be accustomed to some pretty cotton-ball terrorists if you throw the label on something tantamount to shoplifting. If anything, good old Hamish and his mysterious (and extremely well dressed) accomplice were rather civilized and restrained about the whole affair. The thief (that handsome bastard) could well have left a grenade under the good admiral's pillow and painted his bedchamber walls a lovely shade of red.
As for me, I'll be sure not to jaywalk on a CVA controlled station. Wouldn't want to be branded a terrorist.

While this theft was claimed by Hamish I suspect a non-terrorist of taking part. Our operative reported Hamish was merely the fence for the stolen medal. I believe there is much more to the story then a simple robbery.
Also I believe a Minmatar would be unable to forumlate such a complex plan. This type of planning and devious cunning would seem to involve someone of greater intelect then the average beast.
Despite the claims of Hamish the investigation into this theft continues.
