Ilia Volyova	Posted - 2003.07.05 15:20:00 - [31] - You can use AM still fine in the Blasters, the opt range penalities are not very sever for those. - I'm using heavy mod Beam and 650 scouts; prepatch the scouts were better than the mods, now the mods are better - but those need energy, too. I'm quite happy with using both. Have fun with using energy weapons alone and run out of cao in a mob...

When the game went live the range penalties and bonuses on ammo wasn't working (lovely how that wasn't sorted in time, eh). Hence all ammo had the same optimal range, so as you figure there was no point in not using the highest damage ammo ;) This thread is from when the range modifiers on ammo was fixed (and it's worth noting that for example radio crystals did much more ammo back in the days than they do now). I thought that was funny about complaining about EMP having a -35% range now it's liek 50% - Want a sexy signature? EVEMail me, prices can be discussed.
