Hotel Rwanda.
I have never been so ashamed to be a Westerner in my life, I think anyone else that has seen the movie will agree with me.
It's an amazing film though, just a little rough to watch at some parts. ----------------------------

Beautifal Creatures (sp? Can't remember the exact name. Something like that...) made me sad, if only because it was (based on) a true story. ---------------- Haha, stupid monkey! Now I'VE got the Oscar! Enjoy your worthless gun! |

I had tears in my eyes during Team America when he's talking all serious in the helicopter while he's got a towel on his head and patchy hair all over his face... does that count?

'Bambi', of course, the first and the best, at age 4.
Followed a couple of years after by 'The Happy Prince', an animated story from 1974 voiced by Christopher Plummer and Glynis Johns, based on the Oscar Wilde story of the same name Linkage
and a little later still, Watership Down
also
ET Edward Scissorhands (seriously ) Always Magnolia City of Angels Chasing Amy
am a sucker for a good 'love's labours lost' type story

Definitely Hotel Rwanda.
But I also get misty in movies like Braveheart, Gladiator, and The Last Samurai during the hopeless charges into battle, and when the heroic characters have their protracted dramatic death scenes. ----------- Fighting for the ideals of freespace, posthuman ethics, and rock & roll. |

Okay, I always get flamed for this one but screw it...
'Armageddon'. Why? The scene where Bruce Willis ganks Ben Afleck's suit and shoves him back inside the tube. "NO! This is my job!"
"You go take care of my little girl. That's your job now. I've always thought of you as a son etc..."
I don't care what anyone thinks. The first time I saw that... man, that was some manly, tear-jerking stuff. "You take care of my baby girl. I'm gonna go blow up this rock."
Bruce 4TW!
EDIT - Yes to a few of the other more serious movies here as well. Except for Lion King. I was just plain ****ed off about that and couldn't wait for Simba to grow up and return the favor. -
