I was told everybody would try to kill me. I ran out to join an alliance that was all talk and no support fleet. I was chased back to high-sec where I was war decced but the enemy wouldn't chase me. I then went on to tinker with various game mechanics, then this one time in banned camp... :) If I tried to make a type of coffee that made all of you happy, and you rated it, the group score for it would be about 60 out of 100. Break into 3 or 4 coffee clusters, and made coffee just for each cluster, the scores would go from 60 to 78. The difference between coffee at 60 and coffee at 78 is a difference between coffee that makes you wince or makes you happy. |

The drake is the only ship to fly but it needs buffing and nerfing, theres too much isk, plex are too expensive and ccp are trying to rip every one off.

Since I'm still a noob this kinda doesn't count, but back when I was BRAND BRAND new, I thought the Thorax was godlike, and it would take years to get a retreiver. This was my 2nd or 3rd character. I didn't even make it through my trial before I subbed. A couple weeks in I signed up for a power of 2 account. I believe this character was the 2nd character created on that account. I did have a skilless alt on my first account with the same name, I bio'ed him.
The first account was Gallente mission runner. I just had to have a Hyperion, which I got within the first 2 weeks. I fit like a pro! That link is worth clicking.
Anyways I had a thing for faction ships. So I cross trained the hell out of this character and bought everyone I could get my hands on. I didn't have the skills or the knowledge to fit any of them. So I would just undock and hang around high sec station when I was bored of running missions on my main. I could fly just about every T1 ship in the game before I started training other skills and this became my main. Do not assume-áanything above this line-áwas typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient. Nerf it cause I can't fly it. I want to fly a badass Mon Calamari stlye-ácruiser painted to match my Tron clothes. |

When I was a noob, autopiloting with an mwd was the fastest way to get anywhere, Kestrels had Cruise Missiles, Cruisers fit Torpedoes (which had AOE damage), Missiles would hit anything in their path rather than avoid it, the Miner II was the only Tech II item in the game, Interceptors were the first elite ships to be on the drawing board, and Titans were mythical things that only existed as concept sketches, the Leviathan was Minmatar, nobody knew or cared what a Jita was, Meta 4 modules were the best you could hope for, fleets consisted of any ship you could bring, pirates were scarier than CONCORD, null sec was doable in an mwd Stabber, conquerable stations were put into non npc 0.0 to give them a reason to be occupied... hello Fountain Alliance.
My first ever foray into 0.0 was in a Stabber, I returned with a hold of loot and corpses, ran two Stain Alliance and one Curse Alliance blockade. |

I know my third post. This thread is really reminding me how long I've been playing and I think Eve was 5 years old when I started.
10 learning skills. 5 before I started. Some of you probably don't know what I'm talking about.
You had to train some skill to 5 before thermodynamics,
You couldn't group weapons.
Stealth bombers had cruise launchers. Already stated I know. but........
Some guy flew around in a (1)citadel launcher kestral. Do not assume-áanything above this line-áwas typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient. Nerf it cause I can't fly it. I want to fly a badass Mon Calamari stlye-ácruiser painted to match my Tron clothes. |

I suppose I could chime in here
FW was coming out soon and it was going to revolutionize low sec PVP
Directional DD's
Old Cyno effects
Got ship hijacked by some pirates in low sec: Jumped into a 5 or 6 man camp. They shoot my ship to hull, and convo me, demand 15 mil to live or something like that, I decline, saying I don't have that right now ( I had the money, but thought I knew they werent going to let me live) So they offered me an alternative, they would pay me 15mil for my Myrm if I ejected and warped off in my pod. I complied, and they shockingly payed me. I warped off to some planet still in scan range, and bookmarked my ship. When another poor hapless victim jumped in, I immediately warped back and got in my ship. Unfortunately, the victim was a paper thin Iteron, and he died quickly, me, being in a huge battlecruiser didnt have the proper time to align and died a horrible death. However, I considered it (and still do) a victory on my part.

Don't worry, CCP hasn't yet grasped the concept of the door either. If I tried to make a type of coffee that made all of you happy, and you rated it, the group score for it would be about 60 out of 100. Break into 3 or 4 coffee clusters, and made coffee just for each cluster, the scores would go from 60 to 78. The difference between coffee at 60 and coffee at 78 is a difference between coffee that makes you wince or makes you happy. |

When I was a noob, wormholes were brand new, I joined a corp that promptly got wardecced so me and a couple of buddies went and hid away in Evati, got popped & GF'd by a member of The Bastards within the 2nd week of playing
That was my third attempt at Eve btw, the game had always intrigued me I just couldn't get my head round it the first couple of times. 3 years down the line I'm still playing and will be for a good while yet. Homo sapiens non urinat in ventum -á-á-á ---CCP can't patch stupid--- |

When I was a noob my buddy convinced me we could put up a faction tower he'd PLEXed in a dead-end high-sec system through two jumps of low-sec. I asked if we should scout ahead, having just read a ton of material on how people make their way around the map, and he said not to worry. So we packed up a pair of Itty IVs and headed out. We were promptly destroyed on the second gate in. Pretty sure the tower dropped too.
Another time I was travelling to our corp's new home near Rens and I made my way through Amamake just fine. Thinking this was a prime route, I tried again a day later and died on the way through.
I did a lot of dying back then. I still do a lot of dying. Nothing Found |
