Here some hints to get out your pod in one piece once you are warpscrmabled:
- stop your pod! Especially if you are close to the jumpgate. The time to make a decission is very short for us pirates - if you are only 1500 meters away from gate you shouldnt speed up your pod at all.
- calm down! ItŠs not nessesairy to call pirates &%$E/!(& or '+#*&$%%//! (%(%. They do a hard job like mining is.
- Do not log! This would cause that all guns get activated instantly and that youŠll never get tolled again. We add loggers to our database and keep podding them without any comment.
- Be quick! Payment or a "pod or post" should be done as fast as possible, because pirates need their warpsramblers and webbers 23/7. Warpsramblers are - like mining laserz are for other people - our source of income and every miner knows how anoying it is if the mining laserz went offline.
- Do not reject the chat-invitation. This makes pirates think you do not lub them. Since most of them are very trigger happy this can be dangerous.
- Do not try to trick pirates with transfering 20.000 ISK instead of 20.000.000 ISK. Calling reinforcments will also cause that your pod gets destroyed and maybe 100 mil worth implants with it.
- Do not barther! Tolling prices are adapted to your characters age and or to your political standing. If you are member of a wealthy alliance youŠll might have to pay more ISK. If you are a very new pilot you might get away with 200k ISK.
- DonŠt worry...if you have no ISK. Our "pod or post"-feature can save your pod. Write something nice on forums that makes us happy and peacefully and weŠll release your pod free.
- Do not selfdetruct!!! ItŠs not allowed by law to commit suicide! It is a crime and weŠll have to kill you because we donŠt want you get a criminal like we are
- Call us in time! If you just jumped into a tolling station and are still cloaked you should consider to pay a toll for your ship (maybe expensive techh II?) and write down in local chat that you will surrender. This will cause that we warpscramble and web you. We will also remove your armor and shields - but your ship wonŠt get destroyed. Calculate with roundabout 30% of the ships price.

Havent seen many people try that in a long long time.......although i doubt very much tdg would show me the offer of paying a ransom, not that id do it

but on a different note, i agree that the corps do rock and i hear from others if u pay up they do indeed let u leave as promised. iv managed to escape everytime so far though :D

To all the n00bs making these posts
1) Set autopilot outside the system you're in
2) If your ship is blown - hit the autopilot
3) Make a BM in the middle of your first jump as a SS
4) Decide how you're getting out of there
5) If all else fails - take your podding from behind like a gentleman.

All pirates ransome. But there is many corp that call them self pirates. But they are only playkillers/gankers and just kill for tha loot.

Punishment for destroying our 2 Raptors...i would have tolled you otherwise. But dont expect tolling if 20-30 locals try to kill us meanwhile. Tolling needs time and it should be roleplayed. Check latest tolling logs:

As long as pirates ransom me i have respect for them and willing to pay the ransom if i have the isk and the price is reasonable offcourse 
It's not that i fly insane expensive ships anyway
But i have heared before that some pirates just ransom and still shoot you down, wich makes people like them hard to ransom people, as long as they do it this way i like it

Great post, good to see some Pirates with integrity (such as it is!)
Small suggestion though guys, I read some of the logs and almost all to a man choose podding over payment as clones are cheaper than your isk requests.
If you assume that a player can accumulate say 400-500k sp's per month? Multiply this by the months they have been playing EVE and you'll know roughly what level of clone they need to regenerate, more importantly how much that clone is, then ransom them for slightly less than clone value?
Granted you won't get as much but surely something is better than nothing?

I ransomed a pirate in the past ;p
they tend to be better customers than "rest of the world" ;p

yup piracy for t3h win... only problem is that ppl in 0.1-0.4 still don't wanna pay and feel that they must smack, call reinforcements, etc... in the end i get -0.4 ss for ship destruction
