Im now completely unsure about what you can and cant do on this forum, why the rules are so strict these days and who gives the power to people to make those choices.
Im not being rude or an arse and im not joking here either but it seems like allot of discussions about ISD and ISD power are locked by ISD`s which all screams for very harsh comparisons to be made (which i wont make as it will likely result in the thread being locked.)
The thread you locked was actually moving towards discussing these issues but is that not allowed?

if you call these forum rules strict , than never post on the forums of the other MMOs , you would get yourself banned after your first post
on some you can't even type certain words and i don't mean the usual 4 letterwords ,or even critize their game

If you believe that I or any other member of the ISD have acted inappropriately then I encourage you to file a petition either in game via the F12 menu, or through the support page to be found here.
You may also use the sticky thread here in General Discussion to ask questions of the Community Team. In the meantime I will be locking this thread as well - ISD Type40.
I believe this is the route you need to take.

I'm pretty sure that OP only wishes to cause more board drama. Otherwise he'd just PM'd ISD.
At least that's what forum users are supposed to do in such cases on vast majority of boards. |

Let me reply in simple terms; discussing the single actions of a moderator is not allowed here.
There are avenues you can follow however.
If you think an action is unjust, you may raise a petition or report the post in question; any reports of CCL members will be handled by CCP directly.
If you want to discuss the general landscape of moderation on these forums; then we have a sticky thread at the top of this forum where we are discussing *general* cases of moderation.
The very first thread was locked because it was rumour-mongering, which is against Forum rule 30.
For reference, here is the entire list:

Now, the question of what you can and can't discuss - it's quite simple.
This particular forum is for the general discussion of EVE topics, where they don't contravene the rules.
To give you a one off example, let me explain why that original post was locked.
Firstly the topic title is inflammatory: "CCP latest devblog announced that it is time to quit EVE".
Why on earth would CCP announce a devblog telling people that it's time to stop playing their game ?
I've been here since 2003 and I can tell you that a topic like that will get trolled to death, just by itself.
Secondly, the whole statement trying to associate it with goons losing systems is just so incorrect I don't even know where to start.
Thirdly, the content of the post is a clear rant; sweeping statements like "CCP says clearly that no point to play this game because we will **** up it and do not give you time to adapt." are provocative and do not lead to cogent debate.
If nothing else, CCP stated very clearly that this change is to make people enjoy the game and remove an avenue of PLEX inflation.
Once again, let me be clear; in the parlance of these forums, that thread was "not going places". Leaving it open will lead to the op being trolled and flamed and we'd rather nip that in the bud.
