Let me start off by saying I am an alt of an SE member. There is only so much I can take though, and I am strickly against log off tactics and crying to the GMs. So I log on one day, and what do I see in alliance chat? Well heres alittle exerpt.

Now, the full log, and many more members have been sent to the GMs, please if you know of others doing this type of activity come forward. This is ruining our game, and it must end. You people are the reason why some people with HONEST problems dont get their ships replaced, becase the GM's have to watch out for scams.

Great, exactly an indirect cause for me to have canceled my subscribtion this month. Playing WOW now and loving it, not gonna come back. All the times i lost something that was not due to my own error i have petitioned it, when i was not sure i mentioned it fair, and _never_ _ever_ i got an single item replaced.
End result, me holding my middle finger up to CCP's 'customer service'.

well, I'm glad someone reports people that does this... cause it's really annoying for people that actually lose their ships due to bugs but can't get a GM to belive you..
I've petitioned a couple of times (like a year ago now), and always recieved the same answer: not enough logs to support your claim...and so on and so forth..
Oh and one that really annoyed me was when I petitioned that my security status didn't update correctly, and got the reply "there are nothing wrong with the security status updating" and the very next patch (like 4 days later) they fixed a bug in the security status updating.
I don't even bother petitioning anymore.. roll with the blows and live with it :)

While I agree this is fecking disgraceful you should really have blocked out the names of people for their sake.
Anyway this aint right,No one should be able to use a stock story to just get back a ship,If you lose a ship due to lag properly then so be it but this aint on.

What does this teach us?
1. The "no right click in space" is an actual bug, likely not network lag related, but instead is a coding issue. Now I don't feel so bad for losing that Caracal two weeks ago.
2. The original poster, if he ever mistakenly identifies his main, will get ganked by every PvP and non-PvP corp in the game for likely f'ing up the only way to get a ship back through a petition, something people have been looking for for 120978209348573049875 game hours.
3. The guy who's been using this trick will likely never get GM attention again, so he, too will be ****ed (though I'd say comeuppance is deserved)
4. Some of the players, both carebear and pirate, are more of a problem in EVE than the bugs and lag.

But still, many people come back from WoW after finding out that losing stuff and not getting it back from CS, is much better then not being able to lose anything at all.
WoW is carebear heaven where dying is almost free.

i cant beleive people like Naverin. i think we all have petitioned before and not got what we wanted back but he has admited on this thread that he has LIED to the GMs many times to get his ships back. in my personal opinion he should be banned for this crap forget his T2 BPOs he should be forced to sit in a noob ship in a system with no gate or station for the rest of his days |

Aww, naverin, why did you delete your two posts admitting to even more scamming, where you said a few times you got an EXTRA 110m insurance money instead of it being deducted... well makes little matter, with the chat log, pictures of alliance chat,and a few hundred people seeing you admitted to more scamming of the gms...

The thing is, Naverin was probably a good player to begin with. Then he suffered a big loss due to scam, unable to do anything about it and disillusioned with CCP rules and customer support.. he turned to the dark side. heh
There is nothing unusual about such behavior. If you take away the police in any civilized city, many of your nice neighbors will quickly turn into robbers and murderers, some simply cause others do it, some cause they suffered that **** from others.
EVE supports dirty deeds thru anonimity and unaccountability. It's no surpise GMs have to deal with more trash in and out of game, cause scams are cultivated in EVE society.

The title of the post is sure misleading. It suggests some sort of widespread effort on the part of one alliance to cheat, something that couldn't be further from the truth. This should have been petitioned as an exploit and left to GMs to investigate.

What is this right click bug you guys speak of? To the best of my knowledge there is no right click bug. If you can't right click to bring up the warp menu it means that you are either lagged, or you have to ZOOM out. If your camera angle is too close then right clicking either brings options on your ship or whatever object is close by like a station or a gate.

im going to guess its because the chat log has other SE members announcing that they will attempt to lie to the GMs next time they lose a ship. just a idea though |

they wouldn't have to ban all the accounts, just the ones you admit to scamming GMs with, which so far is only one, unfortunatly. maybe you should post here with some other characters and get them banned to, maybe when [color=orange]*snip*[/color] like you stop claiming for false losses the rest of us will be able to get real claims sorted for once.
