Hi everyone,
With all these threads being launched on how the level 4 missions are so uber,i thought i'd try to look at it from another perspective.
So how many ship did you guys loose when doing 'em and how?
As for me,I think i lost 4-5 Apocs now in these missions.First time being when exodus got released,and i woz kinda overwhelmed by the opposition.(Think my first level 4 mission woz Damsel  )
Second time i was chatterboxing too much,and only turned on my hardeners when it woz too late (hi rybex).
Third time , once again , i woz paying too much attention to a not so important convo (Well,what's more important than your fully equipped Apoc in full combat?)
Fourth time i wozn't really paying attention and aggrod the whole pack by accident.
Fifth time woz after i had been getting over 15 Sansha missions,and i got conditioned on doing easy mission,so when a tough mission came up....well,u can guess what happened
Well,as you can read level 4 missions can be expensive entertainment.U don't even wanna know what mods i lost...
I'm sure i'm not the only one who has lost a couple of ships in these missions,so feel free to add your stories...
PS:This thread is NOT about level 4 missions being uber,so keep that discussion out of here.Thx.

I lost a shuttle scouting Damsel the day that level 4 missions were released.
Since then, I have lost many, many, many piles of ammunition.
And 3 heavy drones.
Missions are too hard.

Judging from the ship lost indicator i would guess people regularly lose tons of ships to level 4s.
Partly thanks to latest server network issues.

5 Ravens in the past 14 days ... all to the same Warp allign bug in the same mission, and ofc without refunds.
Conclusion .. aint doing that Mission anymore.
And i still have to figure out how people should be able to make 20 milo an hors doing LV4s ... thats what i make around a whole day. Along with 7800 km3 basic trash.

I think i've lost like 1 BS and a Destroyer on Lvl 4 missions. Both in the first few days after they came out.

There is a mission called "Vengence". It drops 20 mill in bounties alone, ofc ****ty loot  . It takes about 1 hour to complete solo and is rather easy :)

I've almost lost a raven twice that way, but fortunatly I didn't. One time I got out with like 30% structure and 10-20% armor, the other time I got out with 100% structure and like 15% armor. Other than that I've only lost a sigil that my loot picker uper uses.
I've also lost my willingness to go to 0.0 and I've also lost my will to socialize in game.

Hopefully not too far off-topic.
Immediately after Exodus was released, I lost a Caracal within seconds of entering a lvl 4 deadspace complex. I realize there is a difference (I guess). I haven't been back since.
Fought my first lvl3 Pirate Extravaganza last night, alone in a Raven. Did very well on that one.

One raven, to the level 4 damsel mission. Merc wingman spawned when I was about to warp out. Killed the wingman, but then Zor was on my case and game over 
I always take out Zor first (doing his group last), didnt this time, and well, my mistake....

I lost a raven, totally my fault. Warped in at 15 in a non DS mission. Wrong hardeners and by the time I came out of lag shield was more than half gone. By the time I located and locked all the frigs that were scrambling me it was too late.....ship is out of control. So much flashing red...
I have lost alot of armor on numerous missions though and been forced to warp out, fit repairers, repair, refit then reengage.
I typically do my missions totally solo.
Time (alot of it) and torpedos is the rest.

Lost a tempest.
Killed an Ammarr hauler (was tired) and the next spawn landed on top of me. Was not aligned as I was in a hurry and picking up cans.
Poof.
My fault, tbh I think the missions are *mostly* risk free unless you have a brain fa rt like I did

Well I done my first lvl 4 dead space mission, warped in all set to kill any thing, filled my nappy, and ran away in flames crying like a baby with 3% hull left, ill do my next one after I get a 2nd bs as a backup just in case I lose the one I got

I've lost two ravens to missions: One to the bonus level in the level 4 Guristas Extravaganza, where all ships go aggro on you at once (and since I had the sound turned off, wasn't aware that I was being scrambled, d'oh!), and one to the 2nd level in the level 4 rogue drone mission, when I was still figuring out how to tank the supremes, and both were in close range.

Haven't lost a ship in L4s yet, because I'm never the tank when my corp does them. But I have personally witnessed a couple of corp Apocs die, and been a "witness" on TS when other BS have died, Tempest, Apoc and Raven. It does happen, and every time was in deadspace. Usual cause is not being able to warp out in time either due to missile spam or one last inty rat not dying. I've helped corpmates build replacement ships enough times to know that.

1 raven to my mouse buttons breaking
1 raven to falling asleep in the mission
i think thats it so far, i think I may have lost another raven to a server crash i can't remember.

I lost my Raven doing missions at a gate in 0.0 , then 5 Shinra people jumped in and I was a bit slow to turn around and run.

I lost a Raven when level 4 missions were still rather new. Friend of mine lost an Apoc and a BC, then an Apoc doing new level 3 and then 4 missions.

I've lost nothing but the courage to continue doing level 4. First, they take too long and have an illogic bonus time limit (45 mins to go through 3-4 warp gates and kill a 50 rats). Secondly, when accepting doing those, you just put your ship before the risk. I am not saying about your weakness (sorry to offend but there are people going to level 4 with wrong or no defense (hardeners, repairers ...) and warping at 15 km ) but I am talking about the PvE system of Eve. Just imagine you warp to the rats, aggro them, turn in your offensive/defensive systems then some interceptors closing in, warp scramble you... and suddenly you lose connection or your PC crash (I don't know why but it seems to happen quite often). OK you restart the PC, reconnect, enter the game and look at your pathetic capsule warping away... I've almost lost the ship that way. Hopefully I've turned on the repairer and hardeners... still have 56 % struct left and no more cap. So unless CCP modify the way your ship be when you disconnect or lose connection or even crash, beware of such situation.
