I think I'd prefer one of the concept art ones (the 4-winged last ones where great), but the final model looks nice, even though it's similar to the Coercer (however I think a larger body makes sense for a ship that carries drones). |

IMO the last concept drawings of the new amarr destroyer shown in the video are much more interesting than what was chosen in the end.

Why do the new destroyers look so terrible?
Also, I agree with the guy above. The amarr destroyer looked awesome in the concept stage but somehow we've ended up with what looks like a coffin.

I think it has something to do with being designed by Icelandic folk? They seem to have an aesthetic sensibility that can most politely be described as 'unique'.

2) If you haven't noticed, major PvP-oriented groups use destroyer Thrasher gangs extensively. These ships are easy to get into from a training standpoint and provide excellent value for their cost. More variety in the destroyer class is a good thing, perhaps allowing pilots to fill niche roles in fleets.

Unless you haven't noticed, EvE is a little more than flying around and shooting each other in the face kind of PvP.
Some prefer to be a bit more evil than than such simple trick >:)

Some prefer to be a bit more evil than than such simple trick >:) Well, I have to agree with you there regarding the wide variety of activities available to a capsuleer in EVE.
But that doesn't mean that people can't enjoy fun in their destroyers. And now there are more of them with which to form up fleets or pursue solo work.

I cant wait for the new destroyers. They all look very sexy and sweet. I wonder though. When will they add destroyer faction ships. Shoot we need more faction ships in general! |

This might have already been mentioned, but those looked like auto-cannons on the Gallente ship. And that about sums it up when your weapons suck so so bad even Devs getto fit a ship. Why don't you just give the ship a bonus for projectile weapons.
And while you at it throw some lasers on the minmatar ship. |

Video was neat but I don't get it. Whats the big deal with these squishy destroyers? You people are missing the big picture. This next expansion is a huge pile of mess. Throw that dev in general pop and throw away the key for this mess. |

I have always been pushing ccp to be fair to their "special" players like us and I SMACK Them for not being.
When Incarna first came out, for a couple days, the ability to use ONLY the keyboard was taken away and it pissed me off because I have Muscle spasticity in Multiple Sclerosis; I cant always click the mouse where I aim but I CAN get my ship to do what I want with the keyboard, as the keys dont move.
I was surprised when I ramped and raved on the phone, in petitions, and in bug reports that they got SOLE keyboard functionality back to me within two days. It was less than two days later that a patch came out for it (even though they didnt put it in the patch notes)
