Edited by: Celticjim on 10/04/2005 15:54:30 Damn...I hate working and I should be doing it rather than surfing the web.
However, after the exodus of MASS/SGE, who the heck is left from the original SA?
Here's the members I can recall Storm Guard Elite - Left Interstellar Elite - ? MASS - Left Old Farts - Left **Have to clarify, we were never original members. We came in later after sponsorship from SGE. Just pulled this from old bboards Pretty early in game, but not one of the originals Hooded Monks Mining Inc (MONK) - I still see Wakka logging on, but I think they are gone Redemption Inc - Left Everlasting Vendetta - Left The Collective - Left **I want to say Supremacy, but they weren't known as Supremacy at the time. Damn my memory - Regardless - Left
Who am I forgetting and are any original corps still around? Just find it interesting that an alliance is still around that no longer comprises its original members. Kudos for adapting nonetheless.
On a side note, if anyone has some history on the early parts of this game (IE old corp bulletin board posts etc) pre-CA/SA war, back around Aug/Sept/Oct 2003, can you please evemail me and I will give you my email addy. I have been working on the early history stuff for the last few weeks now, and I think I have scoured everything I can so far without calling for some help.
Thanks CJ
(Edit- Got Hooded ticker wrong)

I want more the original list HS than this one. I can't recall all of the original members. If I can get that one, I can compare to what is there now. There were a few that I believe started it, but left very early. As well, I want to make sure a I haven't forgotten about any that are currently still involved, and were there at the beginning.

Someone from Evolution will have to confirm, but I don't believe they ever were part of Stain. Shadow - Came up a few months after formation. Omega Corp - I think this was the new Supremacy, but I can't recall.
One clarification, I do see IE is still there.

Edited by: infinity on 10/04/2005 17:42:28 lo Celticjim old m8te. I think that list is currect althrough i dont remamber Redemption Inc being there in the begining. I have always looked at Solar wind and Species 5618 as old school sa corps also. Species did change there name not sure what the name was. But if u want info from me how it did all start i could give u some details since i was there when stain was borned + active in the war with ca.
The reson Stain is still alive is because every corp who left did do so in good term. Mostly all oldschool corps who did get real board after ca disband and wanted to try new thinks.
Feel free to mailme/convo if u need my help m8te
ps. ups forgot the main corp there. IGS! They should count as old school SE corp althrought they where not there when it all started

Hiya Infinity. Good to see you still about.
I know Solar was about for quite a period of time, but not certain if during formation. Cujo formed up Species from what I can tell after February 2004. However, there were so many folks in there from other SA corps that it was almost like a reshuffling of characters.
For the life of me, I can't figure out IGS...what do the initials stand for again?
Also Torque, I know you are still about , what did GFL stand for again?
Infinity, I will probably take you up on that and give you a shout when I get back into game.

Supremacy? What are you talking about. Supremacy is CA/exCA. It was formed from Omega Corp and some others (also CA).

I don't see what you and I are disagreeing with.. In my first post, I stated I couldnt' remember the original corp name that some members of Supremacy came from. That's the reason I named them. Later HS's post reminded me about Omega.

IGS = Intergalactic Serenity. If I remember correctly that is.
SE is pretty stable atm, the corps that were new-ish when we ran the show are now doing a pretty good job of maintaining Stain without us. --------------------------------------

Edited by: Celticjim on 10/04/2005 22:31:02 Thanks guys for the GFL definition.
Hiya Duke . If you want to help that is more than appreciated.
Basically, what I am trying to do is to map out the beginning of Stain. Primarily, from Eve launch to about October. The interest started a few weeks back when I realized some corps were coming close to celebrating two years in Eve. I waxed nostalgic and then starting writing some dates down. I wish when Exodus hit we didn't lose all of our emails as I had some old ones in there that would have helped.
Anyways, when comparing those groups to the ones now listed on the Alliance list, I came to a realization it appeared none of the corps initially there were no longer around. I wanted to make certain I wasn't forgetting about them. Some, like Setenta, were always around our area in 9RQ, and I got to know many of them very well. However, they weren't one of the of the founding members from my recollection. Others came in around the start of the SA/CA war.
I don't want to go into the SA/CA stuff as everyone has their own opinion of what happened. From memory though, it appears that Dalman's write up from a while back appears to be the one corresponding to my views.
Anyways, not a thread about that, but rather if there are any other corps I may be missing?
Btw all, thanks for your help. Greatly appreciated.

Ya youre right, Setenta was in stain but not as members, we had some agreement like the friend of stain, and I think (was before I joined eve so not entierly sure) before that without SA approval for a while.
Asked in corp last night and none was sure of the time for full membership in SA, november -03 I think.

Correct. Redemption Inc. was there in the beginning (as the European division of Omega Corp). We quit Omega Corp just before they left Stain Alliance. Best decision we ever made (no flame intended) |

Solar Wind & Omega Corp were apparantly working close together in Beta (C4 Alliance?) and after release, shortly after SA formed OC brought SWC in as well.

Klav...talk to Yanda, or Alkolik if either of them are still around. They should be able to give good timeline.
OrcA - KK..ty for the update. I will count IE as not around then. I am more looking for corps that have not changed since formation
Taz....I was thinking about that. I remember it coming up in the meetings at the very beginning that SW used to be members but......... For whatever reason, then not, then came back. Can you happen to recall who the first CEO was of SW? Perhaps a name might trigger my memory.

Hi Celticjim.
Thirdstorm was CEO of SW the way I remember it.
Original 3 in charge of SA = Trigger (MASS) Empress (Collective) Platinum X (IE). Also interestingly M3g4 was an early member before SA turned on them in the first major blob fight ever in EvE - The Cruiser only showdown in DSS-EZ (around late June 2003 if I remember correctly). Also seems like Oberon Inc. was included in the intial formation of Stain.
EV was voted in around early August 2003 just prior to the Jove Veniels visit to Eve. Around this time was the Redemption Split from OC, when Redemption moved outward to the D9D-GD area. Also somewhere around this time is when Hooded Monks were rolled in officialy. And it is also around this time with MTG (Military Technologies Group) went defunct and no longer were a viable Stain member.
OC left around November 2003 (Specter may remember).
We voted in Setenta, PMAS, and Kirousha (spelling is fubared here) in the next group.
Golden Triad (GT) was also one of the first corps. They are also now defunct.
I'll see if I can pull up any other info when I get home. Trigger would be a good one to talk to as his memory is better then mine I'll wager.

Edited by: Reverend Necrona on 11/04/2005 14:46:20 Redemption Inc were a splinter of OC, several members leaving to form their own corp iirc.
Solar Wind were not origional SA, they were vouched in by OC iirc.
Think SA formed to deal with the pirate threat in stain at the time, m3ga/m0o and later rus.
Are setenta corp still alive and kicking? Reverend Necrona |

Yepp, Setenta are still here, not with 300 members or whatever we had as most anymore, but tighter and more active playerbase instead. And in SE, no quitters here.
For Celticjim: Unfortunatly Alkolik left EVE and if you see that char its not the old alk behind the keyboard... havnt seen Yanda for a long time, possibly lost to wow, but dont play much myself now for rl reasons, mostly weekends, so not sure.
