Just unleashed a horde of attack light drones last night to free my trapped armaggeddon from the lethal hold of four guristas arrogators.
With much targetting, locking, shooting and fighting, the drones accomplished their task and returned victorious back to my ship.
Only problem was, with the pressing of 'return and orbit', the drones decided it would be funny to all orbit at 1,550m which is somewhat more than the scoop range. After trying to counter this problem with many different..errr counters. I could not accomplish this harden task and proceeded to execute these drones on the spot for their careless crimes against myself.
Anybody else having relative problems with drones? ------------------ What can I lose? My dignity...every single inch of it.

My personal favorite is when I give an attack command, they fly at full speed, but then as soon as that target dies, they fly at like 100m/sec to the next target i tell them to attack, and fly 100m/sec back to me if i try to say return.

most funniest is that you give 'em attack order towards target, they fly halfway and see some other group (especially in deadspace missions) and go off aggro more NPC's to you and die while being attacked by those NPC's.
THATS best one. _______________________________________________ My opinions aren't my corporations opinions.

I like the part where I tell them to attack and they start shooting each other till I have no drones left. ------------------ What can I lose? My dignity...every single inch of it.

thanks, but stay on topic. only solution i know of Trepkos, is to manually scoop the ones withing range, and eventually the others get to you.

Drones use MWD that's why they go from 4500m/s to 250m/s suddenly when their caps are empty ... ---------------------------------- Unity, Power and Knowledge.

It's a game mechanic, if you approach a none-aggroed rat in deadspace within 15km (i dink), you'll automaticly aggro them, and so will your drones :) ________________________________________ <insert clever/witty comment here>

My alt's drones doesn't seem to acquire targets automatically at all, unless something initialize a NEW aggression on my ship.

my drones love abandoned asteroid colonies. Never locked it.. but when I launch them, they head straight for it. I tell them to come back and attack a rat, they attack, kill that one, i have 6 other frigates swarming me but they decide to go back to that asteroid colony. ________

My favourites were..
When my drones decide that my gang mate is actually a bigger threat then the gankageddon that was killing me.
The time I killed a mining apoc, and my drones though it would be funny to kill off the harvs it still had in space.
Once someones drones went nuts on me for no reason at all. He lost a domi to concord for it.
I find the best way to deal with misbehaving drones is to launch them all, and torp one of them. Type in local "Let that be a leason to the rest of you" Ironically, I did this once, which caused the rest of the drones to go agro on me. Nearly killed my self before I figured it out.

Maybe you were too harsh, made them fight too much and never gave them repairs. Would be pretty funny to get killed by your own drones. Think CCP would reimburse your ship?
2005.04.25 16:40:42 combat Your 1400mm Howitzer Artillery II perfectly strikes LawrenceNewton [WARAG], wrecking for 2706.9 damage.
