moved from Missions - Sherkaner
Scince ravens will be in the same boat as every other battleship with not being as effective against smaller ships what are you planning too do? Are people gonna stick with the raven or do you think another battleship will become king of the missions?
It will be really interesting to see how this folds out. Will it be the end of lvl 4's solo?

eh? noone knows how missles are going to be balanced.
Raven might end up an awesome anti-frigate anti-cruiser support ship with the upcomming patch. Frigates might still have to fear us..
edit: and ravens have trouble in lv4 solo now with the addition of sentries. We can't lock them at the range they're firing on us and we can't down them quickly. I'd much rather be doing the harder lv4 missions in an apoc right now

Well, u don't need a Raven to solo lvl.4 ...

The funny thing is that i've been doing lvl 4 missions with an apoc since the very beginning and using megabeams(nope,not pulses.. ),without any problems at all...Raven's are the easy way out since they require very little skills to make effective,but they're not the only way to do them...

Yeah really.. I have 2 gallente corpmates who use apocs for lv4 missions with little trouble.

ok i used to use an apoc as well so i know you can do em in it. All i'm sayin is when in my apoc, my main defence agains tthe webbin frigs and alot of cruisers was my missiles and scince big missiles aint gonna be nearly as effective against small ships its gonna be very hard to get them lil frigs and once the cruisers get within 10km good luck hittin em with turrets.

drones work fine too. but i have drone interfacing lev 5 which helps.

I'm going to keep using the Missile Ships that I have always used and loved from the very beginning(before I knew exactly how uber they were), regardless of the balance.
Jsut because some stats get mumbled around doesn't mean I'm going to abandon ship(literally) to some new flavor of the month. My first months in eve saw me dreaming of owning a raven, it was my greatest goal, and no missile nerf, no difficulty, and for damned sure no snide comments anout how using my racial battleship is "cheap" are going to keep me away from it.
I guess I am just going to have to depend on CCP leaving my race's ships and weapons a viable and useful alternative to others, ie balanced. I just hope They don't let me down.

i plan on stopping agent missions all together and just concentrate on bship asteroid spawns ignoring the frigs

I don't use a raven or do level 4 missions but I think the missile nerf is exactly what agent runners need to start grouping together en masse. Missions are so much more fun when you do them with friends. Imagine it; You have mission-runner groups with combinations of inties/cruisers and battleships. It's a great trade-off since it'll lower inflation due to shared gang rewards being lower and it'll also enhance the game's social aspect. It's all very well and good doing missions solo and earning lots of ISK, but it's more fun to do it with other people in spite of lower profits.

problem is that most mission runners are selfish and don't like the thought of having to share the profits and rewards. :(
