Hello there!
First off i would like to say thank you for stopping by and showing interested in what will be our official recruitment post 
You are most likely expecting to find a nice little list containing something like "We do a bunch of stuff and we are looking for players of this and this kind". Well, I am sorry to disappoint you... the following post will indeed contain some basic information regarding the corp, but you will have to read a bunch of stuff you don't care about before you get to that part 
Our corp is over 6 years old, sort of on the middle of the tree when it comes to members. As most corps we do have our share of alts, but we do our best to make sure inactive members are removed from the corp on a regular basis.
We do have a forum, but unless your a member it wont do you any good - sorry about that. We are not a part of some large and important 0.0 alliance and feel that everyone is a spy that is trying to get to our personal forum drama so it can be posted left and right... we simply just like having some privacy ;) But if you are interested in a membership in Phoibe you should be warned that we require our members to read the forums and stay up to date. After all, if you have time to log in and do a mission, or check on your industry jobs, or see if a fleet is forming then you have the time to spend 2 minutes on reading a forum!
The reason the forums are so important is because we have members in all timezones, and we simply don't have any other way to efficiently discuss corp changes, improvements or yell at each other. Unless you count spamming corp mail that is but I'm sure many of you know how annoying it is when you get 5-6 corp/alliance mails every single day!
That should have answered a few of your first basic questions.
I wont lie, most of us are older, angry people who can't wait until they can retire and scream at kids that dare to even look at their lawn. In other words,we have families, school, work and a social life. These things are first priority for our members and we have learned to function with this. But this also means that we aren't big on pre-scheduled operations. Do they happen? Sure once in a great while, but we do prefer that members try to create their own operations and just drag people that are online with them to do whatever.
This however is a playstyle that some don't like, and many think that its directors/CEO's "job" to make sure that you have something something to do. I can say right away that if you have this mindset, you will not be interested in joining this corp.
Now, keep in mind that just because we have an older playerbase, it doesn't mean that this is the kind of corp that you would want your 6 year old daughter to read the corp chat. An online game is a way for people to get away from the stress of real life, to lay back, get drunk and mess around. This means that the language can be offensive,with plenty of swearing,and an unlimited amount of "dirty" jokes and comments.We show respect for each other, but its not a church

If you don't understand what kind of personality we look for by now, I doubt you will be a good fit.
But if you do understand what we are looking for you might worry "But i only have ***** SP! They would never accept me!" Phoibe does not care about your SP, how many fancy ships you fly or your KB record (Okay, okay - if you have a bad habit of constantly loosing ships and don't learn from your mistakes we might have something to talk about).
Phoibe will accept new players, and because of our widely spread playerbase and interests you can get most of your questions answered if you just dare to ask them. We would be happy to help
The only thing we do not accept is piracy. Sorry its just how it is. This also covers actions such as ninja salvaging, can flipping, baiting, scamming and so on.
If you are interested in having a chat with us, you can convo us at any time, or you can just join our public channel "Phoibe".
Be patient with us though - sometimes everything happens at once and a director wont immediately be available to give you the attention you need. Keep poking us and eventually we will have time to answer all your questions, and get to know you

Silly question perhaps, mein freund but, what does your Corp DO, exactly? Are you primarily PvP-based or PvE or some weird amalgam of both or neither? Just curious, your post is interesting but a wee bit nebulous in that area, so it would difficult for a player to decide if you are their cup of antioxidant-rich green tea or nay.
Just a thought, carry on, move along, nothing else to see here.

I hope the devs will understand that im breaking the 24 hour rule to answear your question,if not i appologize in advance.
What the corp does is actually left ou of teh main post on purpose believe it or not
It might sound silly but we do not want people that are just looking for a place were they feel they can make a good chuck of ISK and dont care about anything else,which is a common problem everywere i guess. Now granted the information is out there to be found and i am posting this here because you have showed interest in actually knowing
So for your question.
Were one of those all around corpoerations. Yea i know it sounds very boring but we do have the regular miners,the pvp'ers that wont shut up about how great their fits are,the people who spend their days in jita doing trades while posting gibberish in corp chat,the explorers the WH dwellers the mission runners and ofc the occasional young player that runs around and is exited because they get to play with the "cool kids".
Would we like to be more..specialised? Sure who ouldent! But because of the kind of people we are looking for we really arent picky on what a player wants to do. I will admit tho that sometimes its hard to make sure everyone is pleased and have operations going that dosent exlude one group or another,but we do our best and luckely the members are very good at starting operations and events on their own to save the poor directors sanety :)

They usually understand the 24-hour rule when it's in regard to responses, I think they just don't want recruitment posts being bumped every hour & such.
Just asked because, for example, I'm looking for a high-sec PvE Corp located in or near Gall or Caldari space. From reading your initial post, I wouldn't know if your Corp is PvP or PvE, if it's in high, low, null or wh's, or any of the pertinent information I'd need to make a decision as to whether I'd like to know more.
Telling what you do doesn't have to be about isk, for example, I don't need isk, I have isk, I need people to do stuffs with, all of us aren't whiny beggars, some of us ARE self-sufficient & may very well be/have been interested in what you're offering IF we knew what that was. Not a knock on you or your strategy, I can kind of understand where you're coming from, but in your endeavor to dissuade an unwanted element you're also alienating potential desirable candidates.
I like do-it-all Corps because that's what I do, a little of everything, I think specialization is overrated, I'd find only doing ONE thing extremely boring, so I just group Corps by PvE or PvP-based & then location & what TZ their members are in, then factor in any Corp programs & such then how friendly/helpful people are & try to make a decision from there. The MORE info I can get, the better, because it is SO hard to find an ideal "Guild" in EVE, as opposed to other MMO's, where grouping up with some other schmucks to kill those giant spiders in the orchard is pretty easy peasy.
