I invite you to the Osnins constellation, particularly the Halle system, to stir up some trouble. Seriously, it's like a ghost town out here. I'm ratting a 'roid field right now and there are three barges sitting here doing nothing, there is a noob Heron sitting here... doing nothing. They've been doing nothing for near on five minutes now, and this is COMMON to find in these systems.
So I am inviting you to come and stir trouble at your own convenience. Have fun!! You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

I haven't got much, but I have got three faction frigates. A Cruor, a Daredevil, and a Fed Navy Comet, that I will award the person who gets the most suicide kills in the Halle system this week. Killing me, if you want, and if you can, is perfectly acceptable and will count towards your kills, however I would prefer if people focus on the AFKers. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

So I am inviting you to come and stir trouble at your own convenience. Have fun!! Currently the New Order is focusing most of its attention on the Abudban system adjacent to Rens in Minmatar space - it's a hive of bots, AFK miners and foul attitudes.
However, there's nothing stopping you bumping them a little yourself - it hardly takes a minute - and you never know; a bumper might just happen to take a trip through that system some day.

I'm only one man, and have better things to do - it's annoying, but I figure this is a job best left for the people that actually enjoy it.
EDIT: but I might just kit up an MWD next time I'm ratting, just in case You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Hell, if a gang comes by Halle tomorrow as per my invite, I'll join them. I just don't think I'm gonna have much luck doing it on my own. It's early and I haven't had coffee yet, but I think by calling it griefing, you say that they have feelings. Since a bot would not have feelings, then to be griefed requires a real player. |

That's the point though - the "people" who are here aren't really here anyway, are they, if they're mining with bots or afk. There are 12 people logged in Halle this very second, but it goes as high as the 30s from time to time and there are about 3 or 4 people in the system that might actually not be afk.
Just to reiterate, though, I'm not complaining - I'm inviting other players here to help shake up the status quo as it is, stir the pot. This system is way too comfortable - it's systems like this that breed the kind of players that fail to realise that undocking can be as suicidal as attacking concord. It's not to scare people away - it's to give the system NEW LIFE! All of the Everyshore region is so dank and boring - I'm stuck here because it's where my corp wants me for the time being, until I'm trained enough to join them in WH. We do missions together here and there, though. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Suggested solution: Take actions that will entice the few people who are still there to leave. That's often not how it works. Take Tolle, for example. Before the New Order moved there on 21st October, it literally was a ghost town - even though there were a good 50 miners in the ice belt at any one time.
A week later, and the Order had taken hold of Tolle and shaken it from its lethargy. There were less miners, certainly (maybe 20 - 30 at peak times) but they were all at the keyboard. They were all alert and talkative, even the non-Code compliant miners. The New Order's presence had turned them from mindless drones into something at least approaching a capsuleer.

Anyway, if you want to find us, the most reliable times are: 19:00 - 23:00 EVE time, in Ice Belt I, Abudban. Sundays, Saturdays and Fridays are also most popular, although the day doesn't make an awful lot of difference.

While this may seem like the "honourable" thing to do, the smart thing to do is to overwhelm your enemy and ensure victory before you even engage. I suggest you read Sun-Tzu's art of war - while honour certainly plays it's part in Eastern battlefield techniques, even the Japanese weren't foolish enough to give the Americans a chance to fight back when they bombed Pearl Harbour. Was it cowardly? You could probably make an argument for that, but the only stupid thing they did was holding back their third wave - if they'd sent in the third wave, whose target was the fuel and ammo dumps, it would have cut America's Pacific Fleet's fuel supplies by more than 80%, effectively neutering them in WWII.
I don't think anyone that's actually playing the game and knows how things work is looking to "prove themselves" in PvP. You don't fight to prove yourself, you fight to win. You don't scare me. I've been to Jita. |

Years ago i lost a Domi during a conversation on the forums. To the infamous Smash the Supplier mission. That's what you want for semi-AFK mission running.
I just don't have any reason to want the extra isk from L4s anymore. The only thing left for me to buy is a carrier or titan, and they're not very appealing to me. "It's no use crying over spilt milk, because all the forces of the universe were bent on spilling it." ~William Maugham |

You don't get players diversity.
Other sandbox games, even pre-dating EvE, could be less focused on PvP but as much focused on crafting, accomplishment and "I made it!" feeling. In particular, one of those accomplishments were to train many craft schools to the maximum and self craft everything. I am one of those. I self gun-mined and crafted everything by myself from a Rifter to a JF o carrier or marauder and that gives me a sweet feeling. Most people who have more fun pvping in other games like the "corpse cannon" aspect other games generally adhere too (respawns etc).
Eve has a better feel of "finality" as you have to replace your equipment (and re insure your clone). Which in turn breeds respect for your skillsets a bit more than going 3k 26d in Call of Duty.
The actual problem though, is the mentality that thinks just because the game is player versus player, people automatically assume shooting. Which is of course the easiest thing to do, and by no means am I slighting it, but it is not the only thing to do against another player. Nor is it as creative as some of the more finer aspects of pvp.
