Well I was wondering if Xetic corps are supposed to be the good guys or not? Or do xetic have rouge corps that kill pos sec status players in low sec empire? This is not a flame or whine so trolls stay away. I am just asking a question so I know better next time, to the fourhorseman corp( hope I spelled it right) nice use of scan probes. 3 BS's and a cruiser is a little exssesive for a little ol raven but hey was fun But no smack and I will see ya'll again :)
So to the original Q, Good Guy's or wolf hiding in the herd?
Oh to the english teachers in here I know i have crappy grammer

I was just wondering, if ss busting a neutral player and fire on them is normal operating procedure? So if i see xetic corps in local I will be better prepared, thats all

I said it before, there is only 1 'good guys'. And that is Shinra.
But for real now, there is no good or bad. To us Xetic is bad. To Stain Xetic is good. So it really depends from what side you are looking.

DOn't know enough of the situation to say. If you're in Xetric space which is now a warzone neutrals are kos. If it happened in an area that xetic doesn't claim but patrols i.e. Providence it could have happened if you have a reputation as a pirate. If your ship was destroyed and you believe it was unfairly contact a Xetic Diplomat. There's a list of them at www.xetic.org

In some kind of perverted form of natural justice it seems that any alliance that grows strong then gets targetted by "the rest of eve".
Venal has been targetted in the past and PA got a beating. CA was targetted by se and xetic and took a beating. Then fountain. Now it seems xetic is the flavour of the month.
I dont think their bad guys so much justa target others seem to feel justified to attack.
tbh the curse guys were inevitably going to fight one of their neighbours however while other alliances bowed out xetic seemed to be the only one to have any balls andf fight them.

Well I was in assah in a ss, I hadnt aggro on noone and I got a +3.5 sec status, and was attacked and blown up. I know the risks so i'm not whining but I was under the impression that Xetic corps were the good guys so I didnt worry.
Lesson learned
Thankyou for the contact info

Well... Sec status really has no meaning other than you kill lots of NPC's. It is not an indication that you are good or bad. A lot of Pilots from pirate corps also have +'ve sec status, so really that is no way to know that you are good/bad.

Xetic are good guys to Xetic. Generally, we try to be good guys to most everyone else, unless provoked or threatened. If what you say is true, contact the person you nailed you, as well as their CEO. I'm sure they won't have a problem repaying you if that was the situation. afaik, Four Horsemen have a very strict anti-piracy stance. I'm not saying what you stated was wrong, but I've known Four Horsemen for a while, and am very familiar with teir tolerances on piracy (we've talked in depth about it lately).

Most XETIC corps will shoot you anywhere if u are a pirate. Noob corps are treated as enemies at all locations and are always KOS. Neutrals are given a warning to leave XETIC space and if they refuse are KOS. Neutrals outside of XETIC space won't be fired upon. If u are fired upon then contact diplomats.

Does 'ourselves' include all the 'ex' SE corps + other assorted roaming gankers. ?
While I am at it, why do SE corps have friends of Shinra/ATUK in their corp descriptions ?

I have just got in this corp, I know of I believe 1 or 2 peeps that have neg sec status, the point to my post was I was led to believe that if you havent activly pirated that XF corps will not attack.
After I logged in I was headed to 0.0 next to assah to rat, corp mate said horseman killed and podded him he was just transporting skill book for a corp mate to 0.0 in a kessy. I know 0.0 is lawless so dont say it I know already, but then unknown to me I was being activly hunted by horseman in .3 space. The fight was fun while it lasted, Good use of scan probes landed right on top of me. I strayed from my low sec procedures and payed for it, trust no corps even the so called "GOOD GUYS" and keep moving from ss to ss.
P.S. As I said at the first not a whine, just a Q.

Its good advice but its not entirely true. XF should in ideal situations not engage neutral corps in non-XF claimed space. However due to the current war this usual rule of thumb is sometimes discarded in these paranoid times.

I have seen only a few corporations who wear friends of Shinra tags. Those corps where also down in Period Basis. In Curse and around they don't wear our tags. But to come back at your question, i guess its to make sure they dont get shot (cant imagion it would happen, but scanner Ýs still bugged tho).

Um... by chance did you ask them why they shot at you? Have you shot at them before while in a different corp? Did you provoke them in local, ie. calling their moms bad names or something? Have you shot at friends of theirs?
There are many things that could have gotten you on their KOS list if you happen to be on it. You might want to find that out before trying to stir something up on the forums. Four Horsemen are pretty strict about anti-piracy so I would imagine that either you were on their KOS list or there was a miscommunication and it was mistake. Either way you'll need to contact them in order to find out.

I'm a good guy I myself donnot fire at nutrals, unless fired upon. And this is untrue, nutrals outside our space are hands off, nutrals within our space are first asked to leave, offered escort outside our space, if, and only if they refuse to vacate XF space are they fired upon. Nubs corps, however, are KOS everywhere in 0.0. This is my understanding our our policy, if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me ***********************************

Yeah I asked but no responce, only thing they responded to was when I asked if they used scan probes. And I'm not trying to stir anything, was asking a Q, read my first post. I had never run into these guys bfore lastnight log in chattin in corp with the guy they just blasted and lookin at my map, getting ready to head into 0.0 to rat and I see mee start to take damage.
I never smack in local or even if I get killed smack = nublet and I am at work so when I get on tonight I will try and eve-mail there ceo. This post was in no means flame, smack, or any of the above.
And from what I have read here XF has policy not to attack neautrals out side of XF territory and if Assah is XF territory I retract that part of my statement.

for being so much more "holier than tho" they sure went out of there way to find a guy in SS in a neutral area, no empire named area is able to be "claimed" by a alliance. We could all "theoritcally" camp the assah gate into 0.0 and all sing songs due to sentry gunage (not talkin bout gate gankers here)
I say that if XF dont reimburse this guy, we all point and laugh at there policies, hell nvr mind lets all just point and laugh now, there funny looking anyhow
