Well I was wondering if Xetic corps are supposed to be the good guys or not? Or do xetic have rouge corps that kill pos sec status players in low sec empire? This is not a flame or whine so trolls stay away. I am just asking a question so I know better next time, to the fourhorseman corp( hope I spelled it right) nice use of scan probes. 3 BS's and a cruiser is a little exssesive for a little ol raven but hey was fun But no smack and I will see ya'll again :)
So to the original Q, Good Guy's or wolf hiding in the herd?

But for real now, there is no good or bad. To us Xetic is bad. To Stain Xetic is good. So it really depends from what side you are looking.

DOn't know enough of the situation to say. If you're in Xetric space which is now a warzone neutrals are kos. If it happened in an area that xetic doesn't claim but patrols i.e. Providence it could have happened if you have a reputation as a pirate. If your ship was destroyed and you believe it was unfairly contact a Xetic Diplomat. There's a list of them at www.xetic.org

In some kind of perverted form of natural justice it seems that any alliance that grows strong then gets targetted by "the rest of eve".
Venal has been targetted in the past and PA got a beating. CA was targetted by se and xetic and took a beating. Then fountain. Now it seems xetic is the flavour of the month.
I dont think their bad guys so much justa target others seem to feel justified to attack.
tbh the curse guys were inevitably going to fight one of their neighbours however while other alliances bowed out xetic seemed to be the only one to have any balls andf fight them.

Well... Sec status really has no meaning other than you kill lots of NPC's. It is not an indication that you are good or bad. A lot of Pilots from pirate corps also have +'ve sec status, so really that is no way to know that you are good/bad.

Xetic are good guys to Xetic. Generally, we try to be good guys to most everyone else, unless provoked or threatened. If what you say is true, contact the person you nailed you, as well as their CEO. I'm sure they won't have a problem repaying you if that was the situation. afaik, Four Horsemen have a very strict anti-piracy stance. I'm not saying what you stated was wrong, but I've known Four Horsemen for a while, and am very familiar with teir tolerances on piracy (we've talked in depth about it lately).

Most XETIC corps will shoot you anywhere if u are a pirate. Noob corps are treated as enemies at all locations and are always KOS. Neutrals are given a warning to leave XETIC space and if they refuse are KOS. Neutrals outside of XETIC space won't be fired upon. If u are fired upon then contact diplomats.

While I am at it, why do SE corps have friends of Shinra/ATUK in their corp descriptions ?

I have just got in this corp, I know of I believe 1 or 2 peeps that have neg sec status, the point to my post was I was led to believe that if you havent activly pirated that XF corps will not attack.
After I logged in I was headed to 0.0 next to assah to rat, corp mate said horseman killed and podded him he was just transporting skill book for a corp mate to 0.0 in a kessy. I know 0.0 is lawless so dont say it I know already, but then unknown to me I was being activly hunted by horseman in .3 space. The fight was fun while it lasted, Good use of scan probes landed right on top of me. I strayed from my low sec procedures and payed for it, trust no corps even the so called "GOOD GUYS" and keep moving from ss to ss.
P.S. As I said at the first not a whine, just a Q.

Its good advice but its not entirely true. XF should in ideal situations not engage neutral corps in non-XF claimed space. However due to the current war this usual rule of thumb is sometimes discarded in these paranoid times.

I have seen only a few corporations who wear friends of Shinra tags. Those corps where also down in Period Basis. In Curse and around they don't wear our tags. But to come back at your question, i guess its to make sure they dont get shot (cant imagion it would happen, but scanner Ýs still bugged tho).

Um... by chance did you ask them why they shot at you? Have you shot at them before while in a different corp? Did you provoke them in local, ie. calling their moms bad names or something? Have you shot at friends of theirs?
There are many things that could have gotten you on their KOS list if you happen to be on it. You might want to find that out before trying to stir something up on the forums. Four Horsemen are pretty strict about anti-piracy so I would imagine that either you were on their KOS list or there was a miscommunication and it was mistake. Either way you'll need to contact them in order to find out.

I'm a good guy I myself donnot fire at nutrals, unless fired upon. And this is untrue, nutrals outside our space are hands off, nutrals within our space are first asked to leave, offered escort outside our space, if, and only if they refuse to vacate XF space are they fired upon. Nubs corps, however, are KOS everywhere in 0.0. This is my understanding our our policy, if I'm wrong, feel free to correct me ***********************************

Yeah I asked but no responce, only thing they responded to was when I asked if they used scan probes. And I'm not trying to stir anything, was asking a Q, read my first post. I had never run into these guys bfore lastnight log in chattin in corp with the guy they just blasted and lookin at my map, getting ready to head into 0.0 to rat and I see mee start to take damage.
I never smack in local or even if I get killed smack = nublet and I am at work so when I get on tonight I will try and eve-mail there ceo. This post was in no means flame, smack, or any of the above.
And from what I have read here XF has policy not to attack neautrals out side of XF territory and if Assah is XF territory I retract that part of my statement.

We could all "theoritcally" camp the assah gate into 0.0 and all sing songs due to sentry gunage (not talkin bout gate gankers here)

Well for one I had just joined that crew,(check my time in corp),
I had no info of the activities going on.
I have not shot at anyone in or around that system so your unbeleever= is a assumption.

I was in .3 space not XF territory, but that is fine I just logged in to a ass kickin out of nowhere. You justify it anyway you want to, your crew aggro me for no reason. Bit puzzled by your statement.
Firstly Renkers Crew has not been camping the G-5 gate or shooting at people in the area. We have been NPC pirate hunting. Please tell me the name of a single player we have ganked in the Providence region ?
Secondly we have no association with Modular Mining Corp or Killer Clowns from Outer Space other than they often try and gank us every time we jump through the G-5 gate. Unbeleever's "friend" was actually being pursued by them, not travelling with them.
No problem with you killing our members because that is part of the game and piracy is fun. But at least admit that's why you did it

Mate
You really need to see a Doctor as you're memory is seriously deteriorating.
1) Renkers was only formed about a week ago so it would actually have been impossible for us to have shot at anyone a couple of weeks ago as we are yet to buy the Eve 'time travel' mod and skill !!
2) None of us own or pilot a Tempest so it would have been difficult to have shot at you from one !
3) Shame you can't remember the name of the pilot as that would clearly prove that they were not a member of Renkers although based on your previous attempts at accurately recollecting facts I'm not sure it would help matters much !!
4) I realise this is a bit radical but have you considered that it may have been another Corp with a similar logo, as it is not particularly uncommon ?
Basically Renkers was formed by a few friends who wanted to go NPC rat hunting in 0.0 to make isk. A couple of members (including me) have security status 'issues' from activities in previous Corps (categorically not Renkers) and our intention was to use this as an opportunity to remedy our negative status.
The only PvP activity we've been involved in is with player pirates who have usually attacked us first. If you can name a single player ganked by any member of Renkers (not previous Corps), I'll apologise on this thread and then take up playing WoW.
As for the accusations of piracy you must be referring to us setting up a warp bubble and camping the G-5 gate. Oops sorry I forgot it wasn't us it was the Four Horsemen who did that. Ahoy me hearties
Seriously, as these are the facts it seems clear to me that there are possible two reasons for this aggression by the Four Horsemen:
1) They have mistakenly believed that we are a pirate corp;
2) They have become a pirate corp themselves.
So come on fellas own up, which one is it ?

It's POSSIBLE you have mistakenly been put on the pirate list. I will review our books to find out why you were put onto it. I'm more than glad to talk to you guys about it in game...
I will say however on this kill I (personally) was contacted however in local shortly after your demize unbeelver that another party in local sesarching to destroy your ship for the exact same reason we did. So it might be a perception problem guys here... But like I said before... I'd be more than happy to talk to both you unbeleever and tek9 when I'm in game. Evetalon is the CEO and I'm sure he could talk to you as well, I'm just usually on more.

To Everyone else: We are anti-pirates... if you have been killed it's usually cuz you've violated some corpse in a piraty way and should have known better. We're reasonable people, more than happy to talk to anyone in person in game.

Thanks Neslo, we'll have a chat later (after work !!) in game.
Alas, I think perhaps my and a colleague's negative security obtained before joining Renkers has tainted all our members and has probably led to this 'perception' problem.
But seriously, the facts are as stated, we wouldn't lie.
Anyway, just like in real life mistakes are made and accidents happen. No hard feelings. We are actually very impressed by your organisation, tactics and particularly your use of scan probes. Most people just waste their time. Very impressive
Hopefully I'll speak to you before landing in your next warp bubble

As for the rest of the posts not from myself or Renkers guys: For the Flamers: Yes we're evil... For our Friends: No we're not... To Everyone else: We are anti-pirates... if you have been killed it's usually cuz you've violated some corpse in a piraty way and should have known better. We're reasonable people, more than happy to talk to anyone in person in game.
:-)
Thanks Neslo, we'll have a chat later (after work !!) in game.
Alas, I think perhaps my and a colleague's negative security obtained before joining Renkers has tainted all our members and has probably led to this 'perception' problem.
But seriously, the facts are as stated, we wouldn't lie.
Anyway, just like in real life mistakes are made and accidents happen. No hard feelings. We are actually very impressed by your organisation, tactics and particularly your use of scan probes. Most people just waste their time. Very impressive
Hopefully I'll speak to you before landing in your next warp bubble

just feel like i should throw in my 2 cents in this topic.
if you view the employment history of tek9 and gaz and the rest of renkers for that fact they formed renkers around a week ago.
both tek and gaz are relativly new players and started eve wonting to fight however they soon realised what eve was about after finding themselves with - sec status.
after a talk with me they decided and i also advised them to npc to get there sec status down and withdraw from SRD before they spoil our reputation and clean cut image
hence the formation of renkers. to my knowledge there only aim is to npc to raise the security status. but have stated if attacked they will fight back.
to my knowledge the only reason renkers will engage is if you attack or have previously attacked them

1) They have mistakenly believed that we are a pirate corp;
2) They have become a pirate corp themselves.
So come on fellas own up, which one is it ?
There is NO way LIH are pirateing. They will however shoot anyone marked red, and being marked red by LIH = your corp is on the piratelist.
I whould like to tip my hat at Renkers Crew for takeing this case to our attention in a civilized and profecional mather.
Also, if there is an error with the standing towards Renkers Crew, and you guys wish to opperate in Assah (a system that are for pirats what Arenju are for Conan) and go ratting in Providence, talk to the corps patroleing the systems on pirate extermintaion raids. (LIH, DDC and theire friends in Providence.) ---
Just of curriosity... What where you doing in a SS?

I was heading to G-5 to go rat passed my mate he told me to ss, becouse horseman had killed him and I always ss in low sec. Never in a belt or gate to many peeps that can snipe ya or try and kill ya plus I was looking at my map for I am not familiar with this area, so ss was logical.

you screwed yourself here with this admission..... if you look at #'s 5,6,7 you probably fit into one or more of those categories.
in 4 horsemen we:
1.) Kill blatant Pirates or Outlaws
2.) Kill allies of pirates
3.) Kill friends of pirates
4.) Kill pirate wannabes
5.) Kill EX-pirates
6.) Kill anyone with a Pirate Corp in their employment history.
7.) Kill any associates of pirates.
If by your admission you were involved in any type of pirating in the past/present then you were a valid target.
We also kill any ex-Corp 1 pilots regardless of what corp they are presently in. We dont forgive or forget. IF that makes us "evil" ...then oh well.
Its means that our anti-pirate policy is so strict that you had better choose your path in EVE carefully or your character could become permanently tainted.

ok guys, we have a fairly large group of FOE, who are enemies of xetic, coming in and out of assah very recently.... about the same time you guys show up, with a very pirate looking logo, some very pirate looking employment histories and you havent contacted any of the anti-pirate corps in the area. we do not pirate at all, period.
these are not noob chars, unbeliever is over a year old. his corpmates have low sec statuses and pirate backgrounds; they havent made any effort to contact any of the non-pirate corps in the area stating their intentions. now if i had that background and i was attempting to turn non-pirate i would make sure to let all non-pirate corps in the area know my intentions.
if you are truly not a pirate corp, i would recommend getting in contact w/ the rest of the corps in the area who work together against pirates. unfortunatly we have many enemies in the area who would kill us if they had a chance.

Well I would suggest that you not assume that a corp is hostile until aggression has been comfirmed. We are just here to rat and make money.
Just randomly killing peeps due to past corp history, you would be fighting more than half of eve.
With that admission of basic ganking due to corp history.
I didnt know that assah and G-5 needed permission to fly into and make money With that bieng said I say again RENKERS CREW HAS NOT AGRRESSED ANY PERSON OR PERSONS IN OR AROUND THE PROVIDENCE REGION. So your you got a bad corp history comment holds no weight with me, until I agress any one I expect to be able to do my thing with out a the GOOD GUYS kickin my arse becouse of a questionable corp history.
To me this looks like a excuess to kill a player due to inactivity or what ever, if im wrong please correct me.

1.) "Half of EVE" doesnt play in our region.
2.) If you have any hint of pirating in your past employment history that is grounds enough. Dont expect to be a pirate for 5 months and then switch to a noob corp to clear your name and expect everything to be rosy.
3.) Be careful who you associate with and what corps you join.
4.) If our anti-pirate policy is too strict for you then you can leave the area. G-5 and assah are extremely close to our base of operations and we intend on keeping it sterilized. End of story.

Confrontational? Slandering my corporation as pirates and calling them *evil bad guys* behind a veiled sense of "haha i am just kidding guys" is unacceptable. Thanks Xors for this excellent post. This explains everything and based on this definition members of Renkers were definitely a legitimate target.
Of course that doesn't explain why previous contributors have felt it necessary to:
1) Claim we attacked them a couple of weeks ago in a Tempest when we didn't;
2) Claim that we were travelling with members of pirate corps (when we weren't);
3) Claim that we've been camping the G-5 gate when we haven't. (Although you have !!).
I don't really agree with your statement that I've 'screwed' myself by my earler post. I merely told the truth, which regardless of my previous employment record is an indication of a person's true integrity and honesty. I'd prefer to be viewed as an ex-pirate rather than lying to justify my actions. Basically I'd rather be a pirate than a liar.
Anyway, thanks again for clarifying things.

Lets not let this spiral out of control, I am distressed at the loss of my raven but notheart broken as my corp was unfairly targeted and hunted with no aggression at all on our parts to you or the citezens of providence.
So in affect you have persicuted a corp for past corp history with out asking our intensions in the providence region. Which I assure you are purley finanical bottom line.
Xors I wasnt threating you, your post sounded hostile thats all. I intend on speaking with neslor soon, as i am not at home and then if need be we can involve lauchland if need be ( I murdered that name sorry lol) but I would prefer to iron this out with the horseman so as we can all come to a benificial situation to all.
And for your diplomacy comment I belive that I have been very respectful and polite with no smack in this post, so yes I believe that I have been diplomatic.
Xetic federation corps are not the iron hand of eve, you stand for justice right? well lets work this out peacefully.
And I am curious how I slandered your corp I have done no such thing bro so please spin it how you want.

Tek9... I'm online now.
Myself or Evetalon are the only official voices for our corporation. Our members might have their own opinions on this matter. However from the last time I posted, I felt the matter was left on an amicable note.
As for my guys... This forum is like fox news... The accusers get all the lime light and the respondents get 30 seconds to respond with their statement. To continue the banter back and for only is enjoyable for the idiots who watch/read these forums minute by minute... Don't post here.
And a warning to Unbleever: Anything discussed in the diplomacy channel for Xetic without myself or Evetalon is non-binding and doesn't reflect anything official for our corporation.
As I've said in all the posts above... Tek9/Unbeleever, PLZ Talk to Myself/Evetalon IN GAME. From Ashes to Ashes... From Dust to Dust....

On behalf of the Renkers Crew I would like to personally thank Neslo. Not only has he demonstrated his skills in battle but now he has also evidenced his considerable talent as a diplomat. He has without doubt demonstrated that he and his Corp are honourable players worthy of respect.
As such, the Renkers Crew are proud to now consider them as friends.
Good luck fellas, hope to see you in space.

Just wanted to add my final say on the matter. I would like to thak Neslo for the way he handled this matter, in short he acted with honour and intergerty, 2 attributes that are sometimes lacking in this game.
I would like to reitarate TEK9's comments and hope Renkers Crew and 4 horseman can work togeteher very soon.
