just a quick question after all this ship nerf'ing...
as each patch nerf-patch, its common to swap ships again 
so i was wonder what do u fly today ?
and what u fly after next patch ?
ill start my myself:
today: Raven (nerf'ed passive s.tanking)
after patch: Megathron (alias BatMobile) ..and maybe ill keep a raven, for the lazy nights..

With a little bit more skill training the Raven is STILL going to be the best ship for missions, deadspace etc.
It'll just take longer to kill the frigs,.. Time to put 2 150 mm railgun II's in them two spare high slots me thinks.. them and drones will eat up friggs real quick.

This part is gonna sound like a flame but it isn't.
Just because a ship has undergone a balance doesnt mean it will become useless, IMO the changes to missiles and ew (which will/have affect(ed) Caldari on a massive scale), will mean that a more mixed fleet will be seen in space (I've already got several set-ups that i am currently testing on Chaos so that when patch is released i am ready to take my ships straight out).
I've spent ~2 years building my char to become the best Caldari pilot i can be and can use ew, rails and missiles effectively, just because a change is implemented which suddenly makes you have to think about how to set-up your ship (I am one of those peeps who spammed torps for lvl4 missions), is no reason to have to change your ship. Some people will change and i dont have a problem with that, it will just allow me and my set-ups to be more unique in the field instead of following around flying the FOTM.

As 1 of u wrote: used 2years on building the charecter. Well its not that i (or u) lose all my missle lvl5 skills, they will not become as handy as before. And havning a Raven with 7-8m sp in gunnery is infact abit worthless.. (but handy if u are as lazy as me) so thats why im considering swaping ship.

Seriously, what the hell are you trying to say. I can't understand a word of this. Most people who weren't total noobs before, stuck to their ships then and will stick to their ships after the patch. Whiners will whine no matter what. And people who try to train in every ship, deserve to be good at none.

same ships as i have been flying for over a year, any minmatar ship smaller than BS.
imo, the ones that try to fly whats "best at the moment", will always be disappointed when something gets nerfed.

lets look at my history of ships flown... (note: i have occasionally gone back to a previous ship :P)
ibis, bantam, merlin, kestral, osprey, moa, caracal, scorp, thorax, crow, taranis, hawk, raptor, harpy, raven, cerberus, eagle.
slight caldari bias, you think? :P so yeh, i'll be sticking with caldari... probably the cerberus, its sexeh.

You mean what ship am I wanting eventually to fly? ... I have no idea. I don't care for battleships, honestly, they're just not my style, but I'll probably at least *learn* to fly a freighter, dread, and/or titan for the corp. None of these would be my first choice, though. Nor second. :P
I have all the skills for the Cerberus, though, and so I've been training gunnery so my eagle can actually <gasp> do DAMAGE. I'm not holding my breath, though. Corpies laugh at me cause I'm almost done training for tech 2 250s, and I still can't use large hybrids yet. Just never got around to spending the 5 days training gunnery to 5.

Truth is i dont listen when people say sometings being nerfed i prefer to wait for it to come out and then make it work. For example i hear that passive armour tanking is getting fixed soon with bestter values etc to make it workable at last .
Looking above you can see why i love this upcomming and little known change as it will be a good tanking option.
Seriously tho dont despair try it and adapt it will work out in the end

I was thinking just the same a few months ago, and i actually swore i would never fly another ship than my thorax or eventually a Deimos (or a Brutix, till i boarded one and was disapointed). Then i started to learn a bit more about the art of war, and i saw the light and the power of midslots!
That's the moment i decided to buy a Dominix, cause of the 5 mids (at those times, there was still no news of the EW changes). And at the moment my hands touched the command pannel, my whole life had been changed for ever! I now praise the Drone God and the midslots are his prophets!
And now i spread is speach! I still hate BS (and BCs are not my favorites) but i love the Dominix forever, and the Carrier will be the messie ;)
What ship do i fly today? Thorax, Ishkur, Dominix
And tomorow : Thorax, Ishkur, Dominix, Ishtar, and the Gallente Carrier?

I refuse to abandon a series of ships I truly love for the fear of a nerf or even the actual thing. Sure by the end of things I was thinking about the minmatar "get of the cross, we need the wood" but they for the most part kept flying their ships, I respect that.
All I can do is put my trust in CCP to leave my ships usable.

currently mostly seen in raven, used to fly an apoc in 0.0 alot (no ammo makes it sweet) but going to be moving back to megathron I think, although this was planned before the missle changed as I am already movingd own the gallente specialization path nearly got medium tech 2 turrets.
note: this patch will probably make me just into another battleship sooner than I woudl have liked and probably head back to 0.0 were hutning is easier.
