Not :)
It seems everyone is giving away bounties on 100k. Perhaps the minimum amount should be raised. 1 million or more, to make it a bit more serious o/ |

I agree. 100k is a silly amount, and it's being thrown around for the same reason. |

So when everybody has a bounty, then there's no difference in having a bounty.
I think the player base is trying to grief the game designers.

Perhaps we should make the minimum 500bil so that only Chribba and the goons can put bounties on people.... Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings? |

Exactly! I just got in EVE tonight and I was asking about it in the HELP chat and right away, 5 or 6 pilots drop a bounty on me just for the hell of it. Now, it is up to 3mil ISK and I have not even left the station.
Pretty much, I got a bounty on my head and did not even play EVE mechanics yet. So even if you are not provoking anyone. you can get a bounty on you. That's dumb!
Raise the initial bounty to at least10mil and if no one get you within a month or so... Lower the bounty by a percentage until someone raise it again.
Bounty should only be inflicted on a pilot that deserve it. NOT ME! LOL.
Also if a pilot decide to place another amount of a pilot, he can only do it once for a week or so, therefore when you place a bounty, make sure you are placing it for what it is worth.
Thx, DEIFER. |

There should be an administrative fee of 1% or so when placing a bounty. That way as long as we're being silly, we can be sinking ISK as well. |

A bounty does not necessarily mean a kill right however. If it did it'd matter, people will get bored when the novelty wears off. Early days people I am an Alt who's main is too damn cheap to sub. http://aracimia.blogspot.co.uk/ Brony Capsuleer best Capsuleer!

nah the small entry level is fine. It adds up if you are a bad guy.. and if not nobody cares. HOWEVER, there should be a mechanic how you can get rid of the bounties without exploding. For example by paying them yourself. I mean what should freighter pilots do to get rid of the bounties? They never pvp or anything like that. a eve-style bounty system https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=359105 You fail you fail you fail you fail you fail you fail you fail to jump because you are cloaked |

That is actually a very good suggestion. It will solve the problem of people not wanting their 100k isk bounty, as well as become a neat little ISK sink :) o/ |

https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=2254392#post2254392 - An example of a purpose in EVE.
I kind of think that things are fine other than two things mentioned.
1. Cancellation of Bounties by the person that sets it, this should have a fee for adminstrative purpose to make it something you consider such as 100K set, you get back 50K back on cancel, or you could link it to the escrow system where like a market order your skills could set the cost up front and then the amount in your wallet, like that - might be and interesting link to the trade skills tree and if you go negative maybe the bounty reverses on you for fraud...lol.
2. A link to EVE-Gate for this feature and to see it there. Look at all the Macks in local...impressive...very impressive...I see you have fashioned a new exhumer...much like you father's...your skills as a miner are now complete...indeed you are powerful as CCP Devs have foreseen. 219 people are confused. |

The fees wont solve the problem, 100k +/- 20% is still next to nothing for people
An option to pay it off seems like a decent idea. Although it wont stop people from putting random bounties on you, at least you have the option to pay it off and get rid of it easily if you want to o/ |

As far as I'm aware theres no law against second accounts, and it's percentage of damage done.

You are missing that you will spend way more on the exploded ship and it's modules/cargo then you get payed from the bounty pool. If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain. |

People were able to place bounties on you before for no reason, too. Just wait it out, people are having fun with the new mechanics, it will pass when they are bored of it. |

So that is not only the ship, but also the value of the modules, rigs, cargo, etc. The relevant Dev Blog can be found here. Hope that clarifies it a bit. This is what I kind of mean by it, I suppose any amount, starting with super cheap works, but it seems we have a system that doesn't have a few things for the "circle of dickery" that was explained earlier on.
Bounty = no thing but a point and click - ok, no issue, bounties can be set by anyone. Bounty amount = ok, keep it the same, no issue. Bounty withdrawl - this isn't there, it should be for dickery either to the parties that went for the bounty, or to grant the pleas of the tearful after a contribution to the placer. Bounty claim = Concord, meh they are like the post office. 20% up front on killing the suspect, the rest. Manual Payout system, where the person who placed the bounty is notified on the payout, CONCORD has paid out the 20% part, the KM and the details are reviewed and the rest is then paid (or not) to the party at hand with the head in it. If the second party (the one with the head) is dickeried, by the placer then they get nothing... just the 20% that Concord put out, and they are screwed, but they can then set a bounty on the first party and so on... much like that old western...
Did you kill him? yep... Here's the money... best money I ever paid... thanks... just one thing, before he died, he paid me to kill you... and I never go back on a contract... *Blam blam blam... Yaaaaghghhg... flop*. I believe it was fist full of dollars, but can't rmember, anyway... Look at all the Macks in local...impressive...very impressive...I see you have fashioned a new exhumer...much like you father's...your skills as a miner are now complete...indeed you are powerful as CCP Devs have foreseen. 219 people are confused. |
