I am yet again dissapointed in the behavior of people in this game.
First time some real content has came to this game in FOREVER and it seemed to be nothing more then a sick frag fest.
Myself was pod killed three times attempting to participate in this event. One of the pirates that got me discouraged me of going back out there by telling me that "It doesnt matter, the titan is into structure already so you wouldnt have made anyway" A hour later I find out the titan is only at fifty percent shields.
My last trip out I made it ten jumps before getting whacked agian. No less then 10 corpse at each gate I went by. I personally witnessed four guys get thier ships ganked on that trip.
Corporations ambushing people fighting the titan, gate camps to get out there to see/fight the titan.
Absolutely dispicable.
Even some of the people I consider griefers by thier posts on the forums called for a cease fire out there to it.
Not even when there is a uber target do some people go fight it, rather they sit around and gank frigats, shuttles, and crusers. Definatly cannot say that it is more fun to gank noobs, after this is the first titan fight to hit this server, and it was a incredable fight to kill it.
I used to have a nice sig but it keeps getting removed by somone with no explanation. Typical isnt it. |

[] Why don't you get friends to break the gate camp? You don't have friends? Go solo grind level 4 and see if there's a titan guarding the damsel.
I said what i thought today. I think you're somewhat right. However many stereotypes are against you and that isn't going to make you only friends here. I fear another flamewar.

I am not complaining about the loss of my ships, nore the loss of clones.
Ships and clones are only ISK.
However the first titan to hit the server, well that is another story.
A epic battle lasting for hours, that has never happond before, and probably will never happon agian. That is a different story.

It was pretty stupid in my opinion. There is really no point to shooting some frigs and shuttles, except getting killmails and increasing epeen length. It IS griefing, and it makes me sick.
Before anyone replies, note that I'm by no means a carebear, I only think that people who kill for no reason other than for killmails are pathetic.
I think the worst part was people getting killed where the titan was. A bunch of people just camped the titan's location and moved with it, and shot everyone that came (including the titan itself, they werent 'defending it'.)

We are talking about Atuk and Shinra here.
They only know how to gank.
The Only decent player left in Shinra is Hast.
At least he tried fighting the ship and even lost his battlehsip trying.
Bet all their uber kills have been posted on Eve-Kill.com

Not true at all, theres been several events with pirate titans in the past and there certainly will be in the future.
And for the record - it didn't go down. Nobody got anything out of it but a bunch of insurance money for their lost ships.

Sadly, this event occurred while I was at work. Very sad indeed, I'd love to have seen it, and to have killed you if I saw you on the way, because I do also remember you as a forum douchebag.
roleplaying means both sides. Most people who play like to be evil. Deal with it.
I'll send you all my stuff if you successfully convince the members of FoE that they also need to come to the light and get them to leave EVE because they're "immature". You only get the stuff if you get podkilled less than 5 times in the attempt.

Well since I'm the evil pirate who told you that the titan was into structure. At that moment I did got the intel that it was into structure, but seemly the titan recovered or something (or my intel was just badą.)
Second I belonged to the group protecting it and thus eliminating every possible danger.
But donĘt worry for the people who didnĘt have seen the titan. because in a half year everybody in empire will have one.
And for your information I to lost my ship when defending the titan in JKJ-VJ. Hope it will make you feel better.
Tip. Next time donĘt fly with out instaĘs or alone. This will decrease the chances of getting ganked.

Did you honestly expect anything else from ATUCK and SHINRA?
Im sure they will be along in force shourtly to flame the thread to, dont moan about them or it will make them think they are more important than they already do.
Rumour has it that they "allied" with the titan in a evil plot to gain a jump drive, as certain members of said corps are system bound due to there heads being unable to fit thru gates

guys, that was like the best fun ever. Constant fleet fights, tactical maneuveurs etc. It started as a bit of a gank fest but once the sides were chosen it ran great.
Props to atuk/shinra and the other guys that flew with us MCers. Was great to fly with you guys :)
as for nothing given out? there certainly was but it isnt my place to say what, in sure it will be found out sooner or later.
Most fun ive had in EVE for a long time. Good event, well ran. As for the griefing, well its 0.0, people get shot for being neutral. Tip: pick a side and stick to it

Even a noob ship can be used in pvp. So why not your probe?
You could tackle, scout or be a little damage dealer.
Damage dealer? Well remember eve-radio noob army? They even took I think bs out with only using noobships.

As someone posted before me this is not even the 1st Titan to be seen on the server actually its far from it..... Devs have been seen flying them before {that is how there are pics of all the different titans on the website}
As for going into 0.0? its not going to be safe .... thats where I would expect to see a titan in the 1st place.

A small fleet made up of 5 and MC successfully escorted a damaged Soletuer titan, taken by there freinds in SPC, through hostile territory and guarded it against an extremely large, powerfull and formidable fleet. risking theyre ships and theyre clones.
That was the event. gg

Let's not forget the help your small fleet had from 7 sniping vindicators from hell. The ones that don't bother with a camped gate on their route, they just teleport into the system and come in with covert ops at 180km so they can start sniping bs's in 2 volleys all over again.
The whole event was fun and great to participate in right up until about that moment.
Other then that, most people had lots of fun, the battle in jkj-vj was nothing but spectacular. Much respect for the everyone who fought to keep that 40 million hitpoint Titan alive so it could reach it's destination. Same goes for everyone that tried to save face for the Gallente Federation and ended up fighting against the best that EVE has to offer in terms of both skill and high-end ships on the side of the event team.
The next time the Gallente Federation looses a Titan I hope they just call the Federation Navy and leave pod pilots to their business.
I'm not bitter :) Just disappointed.
Ooh, and my Ferox can tank a Titan. (well his FOF's at least)

If you were disappointed you're on drugs. I had a blast. Yeah it was tackled in 0.0 so if you aren't in an 0.0 alliance you were out of luck but if you arent in an 0.0 alliance or corp then you're missing most of the game anyway.
5 did a great job defending the titan and harrassing noobs. You guys really spiced things up and hey you even gave me a quick trip back home when i was getting tired i think around your 3rd attack /chuckle.
I also think that 5 should have their security status set to -5 for helping the bad guys. There has to be reprecussions to your actions! At least -5 to Gallente space.
The lag wasnt that bad but 15/20 seconds to turn on a module is kinda ***. I wish CCP could figure out how to fix it. I had all effects off and it was still almost unplayable at times.

Anytime you have a game as open as this, the cornholes of the world will flock to it like a moth to a flame just because they can do anything in it. This is why your seeing more and more mainstream MMO's so structured.
CCP's next game will follow along just like the rest, and impose order on the players simply because 1 ignorant griefer can cost a company 100's of customers if left unchecked. So if they want to make any money they really have no choice. It really is a shame that large groups of players left to their own devices can't seem to do any better.
Its a fact that I learned A LONG time ago. There are MANY players out there, that if they could, would do everything in their power to completely destroy a game and make a company go broke.
There are players who would play night and day destroying player after player making everyone quit only so they could say "OMG im SOOOO l337 I made the game go under" to their high school buddies.
Frankly this explains Eve's state. Its a BEAUTIFUL game, has great game mechanics for the most part, a GREAT storyline, and very talented people designing it. The only problem is that it gives too much power to the retards.
This is why Eve is a 50k subscriber game and will never really make much money. Sure, they'll pay the bills, and make a lil extra for the investors, but it will never be huge. Although I truly believe it could have been if they kept the game a bit more structured.
I really think CCP's next game will be phenomenol because they have already learned that this wonderful idea of "open ended MMO" just doesn't work as well in practice as it does on paper.
