if words are good enough for you to be fat dumb and happy maybe you should follow your own advice. Either you are very new and havent seen all the BS and lies CCP have given us in the past to keep the peace (and subs) and therefore dont know what the hell youre talking about anyways, or youre just that gullible/stupid enough to believe it every time.

The CSM is a waste of time.
CCP need to play the game they are developing again, they need to know what it feels like to experience all the ****** bugs that are this game. They need to experience how eve has turned into a game for the risk averse, a game where experience and skill has been cheapened to appease the masses while burning the (now) bitter vets.
Before Goons jump all over this and tear it to shreds, im not talking about you. Not that it really counts for much but i kinda have a soft spot for you guys and what you do. |

Good example: Hybrids. I literally never shut up about Hybrids. Ever. I eat sleep and drink Gallente. The only foot stopping you did, was the massive whine when returning from the emergency summit meeting. But sure, you go ahead and try to take credit for everything now. Now that all this raging about FiS is almost done with, we need a new drama topic.
I vote we start raging to CCP that they are not visionary enough, not fearless, that might be enough to push them over the edge ;) |

Well, don't act like a housewife just after the fight. (read: Don't translate with active hostility.) It doesn't take a rocket scientist to look at the CQ, and it's attendant technology, to get the gist of where the game is headed. Personally, I like it. My only apprehension is if my present machine will run it. But, even that's okay since I'm having a gaming machine built to my drooling specifications - ready the last week of December. People have been talking about moving around in stations for years. Now it's becoming a reality, and the design and engineering is impressive, if you look with an objective eye, and not an angry I.
The reassurances in no uncertain terms that EVE is not moving into the same, puerile mode the rest of the industry has embraced could have come sooner, and I suspected a corporate arrogance (usually led by the CEO) as the motivation for not clarifying the point despite the uproar. The boss hit that nail on the head. God bless him for it.
I hasten to add I've never seen or heard of a corporation coming clean in quite as self-deprecating fashion as this. It was truly hat-in-hand, and I'm genuinely gratified. However, I don't take back all those awful things I said, 'cause they were more in the vein of humor and cajoling than serious commentary. (Secretly, I've always known any group astute enough to bring us this game would eventually get the ship back on course.) Albeit it was the vocal, and vociferous reaction of some very dedicated players that seems to have forced this issue, and well it should be. One thing about CCP that makes it stand out is, it takes its players seriously. And well they should because these players take this game seriously - and so, CCP. It's like a marriage. So we fight. Big deal.
Well done, skipper.

I was pretty upset hearing 2-3 years ago that CCP would never come out with a monocole thing. But did. come out with it. now they want to come out with stuff they should of added along time ago. Fixed many of the annoying bugs in the game. before saying yes we should get rid of monthly subsriptions. because we are to greedy. and want to charge our players. for ships/moduales. yes cause you very well know that will create. another Major highsec market hub riot. Derp....
For changes such as getting rid of subscriptions. CCP should really consider a voteing system where 1 player per account can only vote, once. Because it seems you take our ideas but then completely change what we wanted into something stupider. |

I have never heard of a western CEO doing a mea cupla like this. A Japanese CEO, yes, but none from the West.
Subscriptions must have fallen off the table for motivate him to do this.
Next release is what, 12-16 weeks away? And we should be seeing some of the new stuff on Sisi much earlier than that.
I am looking forward to see what is fixed and what is ignored. |

The leaked email holds more credit in my mind cause thats how he really feels, not this PR scripted crap. You honestly think he'd feel this way had he not been caught with his hand in the cookie jar? Hell no, he'd be laughing all the way to the bank. I dont tend to accept forced, scripted, apologies from people that did wrong. They didnt come to this hat in hand, that came wallet in hand, with all kinds of promises (seemingly based on all the things ppl have been asking for years for them to fix) hoping you dont leave.
WHEN I SEE IT apology accepted. Till then, honeyed words.

Don't ya love PLEX - PAY TO WIN! Buying a PLEX creates a market for PLEX, which supplies CCP with more money than if you had bought a subscription. A PLEX costs $20/month but a subscription costs $10-15/month. Learn to math.
So stop buying PLEX and I won't be able to give YOUR money to CCP :)

If a company takes a big enough PR hit, it is very common for the CEO to apologize. Netflix, BP, Sony, and News Corp all had the CEO apologize over something the company did in just the last 2 years. To have a CEO apologize is hardly on heard of. The CEO of CCP apologizing over this is not shocking to me at all. All it means to me is subscription numbers must be way down. |
