Greetings everyone,
Freelancing Corp are once again in a lookout for fellow Freelancers whom are interested in being part of a group of likeminded individuals and freelancers. A group who understands and values individual freedoom. A group which includes most aspects of Eve. We are in a lookout for fellow freelancers with current occupations such as:
Miner (rare ore, regular ore and ice) Manufacturer (ships, ship gears and components) Trader Agent Runner NPC Hunter PvP
Specificly any of those occupations or combo of all of them. Our group includes pilots with those occupations and more, all from Veteran pilots to newly graduated pod pilots. Different backgrounds, different goals but still the same drive to succeed and reach their goals as true Freelancers.
You value your indivual freedom? You want to keep all of your earnings down to the last isk and not have to give away parts of it due to corp tax? You want to surround yourself with people who can appreciate your way of life and share your joy as you reach the goals you have set for yourself? Then look no further. In Freelancing Corp you will find all of that and more.
Interested in learning to know more about us? Then let our history speak for itself. here are some links of some of our earlier recruitments together with some posts made by some of our closest friends and our own Video by Nuala Reece.

Also, even if there's not a current FLC member in Freelancing channel when you're there, many ex Freelancers also hang out there. So you should still find someone who can chat about the corp.

Big question do you have access to a 0.0 zone (and a conqueored station) or an alliance with the 5 ? do you take members without team speak ? as i dont have teamspeak. If you have 0.0 access (non empire), access to 0.0 station or an aliance with one of the 5 and willing to take on a self funded player reply affirmative. Im not a pirate or a scammer.

You mean there are people who don't? As Freelancers we tend to consider ourselves free to go where we want anyway. Since members are free to do what we want we don't really have a centre of operations and so individual members could be accessing 0.0 space all over Eve depending on where they're most active at that time.
One of the advantages of the corp's anarchic system is that we don't have a need to claim ownership of space, and so no need to fight for territory and, following this, don't really have any natural enemies. That, in turn, makes it easier for individuals to develop friendships with local corps and alliances and gain access to 'claimed' areas of space. And of course, there's still plenty of space that's unclaimed and/or contested that an enterprising pod pilot can slip in and out of easily with a little planning
Originally by: ollobrains (and a conqueored station)
Couldn't say for sure on that one - would have to let one of the others tell you.
Originally by: ollobrains or an alliance with the 5
Alliances haven't really suited Freelancing Corp - the emphasis in the corp is that everyone is free to pursue their own goals, so getting agreement on a thing like that would be like trying to herd cats. But we do, as mentioned above, tend to be good at fostering friendly relations with nearby corps and alliances, which can often be just as beneficial.
Originally by: ollobrains do you take members without team speak? as i dont have teamspeak.
Naturally. It's really useful if you were wanting to join in any PvP activities but by no means a requirement.
Originally by: ollobrains Im not a pirate or a scammer.
You'd probably need to stop the thievery too

To answear some of your questions Ollobrains incase Nuala's answears didnt satisfy you:
Freelancing can access 0.0 space. Its all up to each individual pilots if they want to pursue their interest in 0.0 space. Some are doing so on regular basis others whenever it suits them. Either way you can find Freelancing Corp members in 0.0 space.
As for conquerable stations we currently do not hold any such structures.
As for an alliance with the 5. Freelancing Corp's structure makes it hard for us to ever be part of any alliance. Allthough we do befriend alot of corps part of different alliances we as a group are not part of any. And in the past and now, dont really seek to be part of one. Only alliances we truly seek is the one within our own group which usally extends to our close friends and/or neighbours were our members operate and call home.
Team Speak as Nuala said is a nice tool during hostile engagements with fellow PC pilots. However has never been a requirement to join our group. Our group do have access to this tool whenever we need it.
Hope that helps you to get a picture of who we are.

Freelancing Corp recently formed a division within that caters towards the PvP combat aspect of Eve. We are currently in a lookout for pilots whos interest is in combat against other players or NPC and who will help boost up this division. Since this division is rather new there is alot of opportunity to help shape it into a something its members can be proud of.
Type of combat pilots we are looking for: Honorable Loyal Willingness to teach and to be taught Able or at least willing to work with others Anti pirate
Those interested please submit your interest directly to me Paul Lebaue. Each interested applicants will have a chanse to apply but I have to say this now we are in a lookout for quality not quantity. And we are in a lookout for those pilots whom carries the attributes I mentioned. If you dont possess most of them then your most likely gonna get rejected. Paul

We did have a conquerable station for a few days when they became conquerable. We lost it rather soon again, but it was a fun thing to try and do. I've still got stuff lying there, there must be a year's worth of dust lying on top of it now.

As a member of the newly formed pvp wing of the "FLC" I would add my backing to what Paul has stated above as well as adding that if you are interested in the pvp side of things with us Team Speak would be a beneficial tool for you to utilise. You do not need to speak as such so a microphone will not be needed but you need the ability to hear what is being said, after all if you can't hear whats going on how do you know who to shoot at .

I been part of this group for over 2 years now. Allthough I am the only one left from the orginal crew I have to say we have not yet sidestepped from the path of true freelancing. 2 Years now we been around and we are still around. This group of ours consist of a large variety of pod pilots whom values individual freedom. There have been many faces that come and gone but even though they might leave the group they still continue and be part of our small community, we are for most of the times mature players whom just like to share their experiences and endevours with likeminded people. We are always in a lookout for likeminded individuals. Dont be scared to drop in and just hang out with us in "Freelancing" channel we have alot of people in there whom joined that chatroom and just chose to stay were they are corpwise but take part of our little community which is "Freelancing" chatroom.
Hope to see a combination of old and new faces there soon.

Hi Ash
We're mostly European based, but I think we've got 10-20 US based players. Not sure though.
During working days the corp channel is most active in the evening evetime, as far as I know. You're never alone though, there's always somebody around because we've got members from a lot of countries. During weekends it's busy allday round.
deep space mining ops?. good question. We've got active miners in the corp, but I have no idea where they do their mining. (this shows that if you're looking for a structured and organized corp you're in the wrong place now, lol) I'm sure that if you want to start those there will be members willing to join you.
Show up in channel Freelancing to get some more feedback and answers to your questions.

Hi Syrec - there's no tax or fees in Freelancing, you get to keep every Kredit you make all for yourself
There is the occassional war dec, like you'd get with any corp, but they're not exactly a regular feature of life in Freelancing Corp. We have a few pilots who happily volunteer to go out fighting at these times (Lancers) in order to keep the heat off the rest of the corp (and we do a pretty reasonable job I think). So the handful of wars that have been declared on us in the past have had pretty limited effect on people's usual business. By and large we're inclined to forge friendly relationships with other corps rather than make enemies.

Yes I am proud to announce that Freelancing corp has finally joined an alliance of our own making. For over 2 years Freelancing Corp has stood alliance free. Even other freelancer alliance we felt would be to restricting for us. Coming to realisation that there currently were no alliance fitting for us whom we would be able to benefit from and whom would be able to benefit from us, "Confederation of Independent Corporations" was created. An alliance made by Freelancers for Freelancers.

Hi Wild good to hear that you are interested in joinf Freelancing, the best way to join is usually to come and speak to the FLC guys on the ingamge public channel for FLC called "Freelancing". FLC are a great bunch of guys and it is an easy going crew just the basic tenants and apart from that it is pretty much do what you like mission running, agent running, mining, research, Rat Hunting PC as well as NPC. Hope to see you in there Wild .

Edited by: Max Godsnottlingson on 12/09/2005 12:20:58 As a new player to Eve, I have to say that Freelancing Corp is about the best group I have ever been a member of in any game. This is the one Corp, guild or what ever you want to call it, that has got the ballence right between being friendly and helpful but not bogging you down with "Corp duties".
If you want the best of both worlds. Independence to do your own thing, while enjoying the support and friendship of like minded players. Then look us up in the ingame chatroom 'Freelancing'. I'll also add, that Freelancing' is usually as 'chatty' as any corp/allience channel, so you won't be sat there on your own being ignored.
In return all we ask is that you respect our 3 core rules 1. No Pirating 2. No Scamming 3. No theft
Come and give us a look, if for no other reason then to stop and chew the cude a little with us.

Just as free and still in a lookout for fellow pod pilots whom view things the way we do. There are many groups out there whom operates the way we do. But what I think what makes us unique besides the fact that our group has existed for more then 2years is that members whom chosen to move on to join other groups or create their own always managed to either stay in touch or even return back to us. We have basicly have pilots for every trade there is available in Eve. The only trades which we do not accept are those which would be a conflict to our 4 main rules. No Scamming, No Thieving, No Pirating and No Smacktalking.

Are you a Miner by trade with a need to be free of any pressure of having to join up for mandatory mining ops and having to pay a % of what you earn and/or make during those ops or even during your own private ops? Then look no further. We issue no Mandatory mining ops and we do not tax any of our members. You get to keep all of you earnings with no hassle from us. The Corp itself is selfsufficiant and relies on its members to be selfsufficiant as well or at least learn to become selfsufficiant. So if you feel this describes you well then feel free to look us up ingame by joining our ingame chatroom "Freelancing". Hope to see you there soon.

Greetings. Due to my too fast fingers, it seems my application at Renyn X, Moon 14, Chemal Tech Factory was cut short.
I'd like to apply for a Pilot's position and found that your ideals fall in line with mine.
Exploration is my first true love, but in order to fund my travels I consider myself a Freelancer. I've mined, traded and run agent missions. Whatever I need to do, to make ends meet and to earn a living.
Honestly, I didn't think there was a corporation out there that had the individuals freedom in mind. Perhaps, you'll prove me wrong.
Looking forward to hearing from you, Freelancer Pilot Narooma Sung

How about setting their legs on fire to see if one burns faster than the other? You don't need legs in space anyway.

LOL T'Laar.
One thing you will notice about our group is that it has existed for more then 2 years. We were one of the first Freelancer groups out there and not much has changed in that perspective we still are a group of Freelancers and individuals. If your a freelancer whom understands the the concept of Freelancing and looking for a stable group of freelancers to join look us up. If you value individual freedom as much as we do you wont be disappointed I promise.

Quick questions for the corp.
Are there any common goals amongst the group?
Do other corps look to the Freelance guilds for assistance? i.e. - Mercenary work or Trade commissions?

Oh, and Hi.
The common goal for our corp is freedom - freedom to do what we want, how we want to do it and with whom we want to do it (within the boundaries of our 4 rules of course).
We have been approached to do work for other corps/alliances/etc and yes, on occasions we have undertaken such work, but as per our ethos, none of this is obligatory to members

Sorry to be a complete noob, but what exactly is the benfit of being in a corp.? That and how do you physically join one? Do you just join the proper channel til your invited or do you actually need to travel to a certain station?
I'm kinda just looking for a group to show me the ropes cause I get the feeling I'm missing something.
Freelancing interests me cause I'm not really looking to get tied up in rules and job roles until I really learn some more.

The benefit of being in a corp is that you can be killed in corp wars, you get a handy chat channel to talk to your corpmates, people sometimes do stuff together and you can join in, and you get a really cool looking corp logo in your pilot info.
For the new player, the benefit is being able to benefit from the experience of people who have been around for a long time, who can show you the right way to operate.
The downside is that people can kick your a$$ in empire if war breaks out.
So knowledge in exchange for danger. Its a good trade IMHO.

Now this will never do - a great corp like FLC stuck all the way back here!!!
FLC is all about freedom - if you want to be free then give us a try - don't know until you try. FLC could very well be the corp for you!We don't do corp mining rota's (etc etc etc), we have a O% tax rate, in FLC you will only get out what you put into it.
Pop into in-game channel freelancing and say "hi" and meet the guys and gals of FLC

Been hanging out in your chat a bit and have a question. While I value my freedom to do whatever I want as long as it doesn't reflect badly on the corp, I also like having goals to works towards/being a part of something bigger.
1. What are the Corp/Alliance goals? While still relatively new to Eve I would eventually like to get involved in PoS's and in 0.0. If these are not corp goals what kind of support is available to help me achieve my personal goals? While not afraid to work for what I want in game there are things in Eve that are next to impossible to achieve without corp backing.
2. How do my goals fit in with the Corps'/Alliances' goals?
Thanks for your time.

[152]
Firstly, we are unlike most (if not all) other "traditional" corps in EVE. We are mostly a knowledge sharing base, and if we hear a yell of "help, can't kill this......" etc etc if nearby - we help.
As far as you saying that there are things that you can't achieve without corp backing, I'm not entirely sure that is true - yes there are a few things, but for a new player they are quite a long way off, and if you wanted help - all you have to do is ask. Worst someone can do is say no
In FLC we go our own way, in our own sweet time. So if that is your way then your goals will fit in with the corp perfectly.

Sounds interesting. I'm looking for something to help provide goals to my EVE experience (which has so far been fairly random) but I'm not in a hurry to go ganking other players. I'm grinding towards covert ops stuff and I have great scanning/survey skills - if only the probes weren't flawed, tsk. (As an aside has anyone found the ancient ruins which make the archaelogical scanner worth using?) Currently in a destroyer plugging at lvl 1 missions in an attempt to (finally) improve my standings. If you can make things more fun for me then I'd definitely be in... :)

I joined Freelancing/CiC when I was 10 days old. Although I am now in a corp with some IRL friends, we are still in the CiC alliance, and adhere to the Freelancing rules, and will do so for any forseeable future. The people in the corp and alliance chat have taught me a lot about the game, from ship fitting to mission running, skills to go for, PvP survival, mining...and maybe a little more than I wanted to know about wombats and Madonna hits. CiC has players doing just about everything, everywhere. Whatever you wonder how to do, odds are a freelancer has either done it or at least know why you shouldn't.
The alliance ingame webpage is priceless (Murton FTW!) , and should be mentioned as a valid reason to join Freelancing on it's own. It has a very nice alliance blueprints database for when you want something produced or for planning your own research/production/trade, and one of the finest EvE ingame links collection in the universe, making the ingame browser a very, very useful tool.
I highly recommend joining the Freelancing channel and saying hello!

1) Yup - we are literally scattered from one end of the map to the other 2) On occasions we may get together for a bit of fun and ratting - but nothing formal 3) We don't generally take part in "local protection agreements" because due to the nature of our corp we try not to get involved in politics unless we absolutely have to

Let me take this moment to say that after 2 years i hav been in Freelancing it is still one of the best corporations to be free in EVE. We dont own any space but we travel and poke around everywhere
You dont have to do anything for the corp or the alliance, just to follow up 4 simple rules; No Thievery No Piracy No Scamming No Smacktalking
If you find that you can life with these rules, seek freedom, great friends and lots of fun, new player or almost retired, then join the still growing Freelancing corp.
Now my only wish is to CCP that they fix this bug with the chatwindows, so i can be in more places then just 1 where i need to be and welcome people in our public FREELANCING channel. Hope to see you there soon

Freelancing is the single best group of people I have met in the game - my corp are all RL friends so we joined their alliance five months ago, and I think we're all ruined for life. Comaraderie, teaching, laughing: Freelancing is all levels all regions all professions -'cept Pirates, Thieves, and Scammers. We're all characters in-game and IRL, and revel in it!
You want to do your own thing and network at the same time? you want to laugh, and can laugh at yourself? you want to learn the game or master the trades? all these things are not only what we offer, but who we are.
Check us out: no skill points to 40 mil - all levels welcome (and we do love our Newbs)!
Join "freelancing" channel and talk to anyone - we've all got our loves of/for this corp and alliance. There's no real structure here, so we all answer any questions we know how to... about the game, the corp, the price of tea in Shanghai China in the 1893.
Cheers, JOIN Us! --Elange4

Well after a slight pause in our recruiting - we don't think its fair to recruit new people whilst we are involved in wars - things are back to normal.....well as normal as FLC gets lol
If you want to find out how normal this lack of normalness is pop into our public channel, freelancing and say hi

Simply one of the friendliest and welcoming corps around. They never forced anyone to do anything - a true freelancing corp, yet if you are in trouble there is always someone from them or the CIC Alliance (the alliance which the Freelacing Corp is part of) to come and help you out.
I have now joined a corp with rl friends, but will vouch for the Freelancing corp to any freelancer wanting to be both free and have close friends.

If your playstyle is a little bit different from the "I MUST FOLLOW RULES AND MAKE SURE I'M LOGGED IN NEXT TUESDAY" kind of approach, try freelancing.
Seriously they are a great bunch of people, no pressure, just the freedom to do what you want with the support of friendly people. Whatever your goal in EVE you are certain to find people to achieve it with here.
I could go on but just visit "FREELANCING" chat ingame and find out for yourself.

Just a word out to let everyone know this a great corp with a fantastic alliance. Lots of nice people, they know a lot of stuff (about making money ), but also how to do some missions or how to setup your ship even better.
It is a pleasure to be amongst these fine people and i know i will have a laugh everytime, so i am enjoying the time online and playing this great game.
Cheers
