Mechcore have you tried to fit 2 medium nos instead of 2 heavy launchers? May be possible(haven't checked properly).

I have not used my Eagle for ratting much unless pot shots on 40k belt rats counts. But why the webber? if against belt rats a painter I find works better it helps your guns hit the small ships and increases the hits on the bigger ships. Not only that but you dont have to wait until they are ontop of you before you can use like a webbers 10k range does. Just my preference give it a whirl. -----------------------------

Dont wanna use it for NPCing, but for PvP. The webber is for those small pesky ships that are trying to get under ur guns.

If the NPC's are going to get under your guns then a web will help non because with 250's fitted they will be under your optimal to use a webber at 10k so webber will do nothing to help stop them. If you have blasters your optimal is only 8-10k anyway so they will come to your optimal without a web fitted anyway. And just for ref. If you warp in at 40k to a belt and see any frig at that range they are popped before they even think about coming towards you. So web will be of no help. But again only my preference. -----------------------------

Originally by: Booky Those of you with a Large SB II, how do you run it continously? I have
4x 250mm rails II, 2x Heavy Launchers
1x Large SB II, 1x Shield Amp, 1x hardener (depending on NPC since I dont pvp much), 1x Tracking Comp II, and 1x Cap Recharger II
3x PDU II (I think, might be 2) 1x Mag Stab II
I run out of cap after a minute or two if I run the Large SB. Should I maybe drop the shield amp and add a cap battery? Any ideas?
4x PDU IIs and only the Em hardener as I put above. I dont I could run it with any more active modules but (and this is about 2 months ago) I think I remember being able to fit a damage mod in the lows and not run outa cap. Since then I've put 250 IIs on but lost the Gist C so ill have to wait and find out... --------------- Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in very large groups... |

i use this for NPC:
highs: 4- 250mm II's, 2- assault launchers
mids: 1- 10MN AB II, 1- Large Shield Booster II, 1- Tracking Comp, 1- Shield Boost Amp, 1- Cap Recharger II
lows: 4- Mag Stab II's
did this from memory, i think it's correct.
biggest ship i took down with this is the 2.5M BS in a 4/10 serp complex, although it went down easier, than the 1M gurista Mammoth....that one was the hardest i think.
anywho, npc frigs insta-pop, with one partial (only 3 guns usually) volley, have had wrecking shots of over 500, tank lasts a while but definately not forever, but cap/shields recharge fast when the guns ain't running. got an optimal of around 40km with AM, and ~140km with iron...all in all the eagle rocks, but is very skill intensive .... ------------------------------------------------

So is everyone pretty much using the blasters on the eagle for pvp? I like the rof w/ the rails, but damage is no where close to that of a zealot.

frig killer:
4 t2 250's, 2 t2 small energy neutralisers
2 t2 sensor boosters, t2 target painter, 2 t2 tracking comps
4 t2 magnetic field stabs
with hac 5 my optimal with iron is 163km + 14 km falloff optimal with antimatter is 51km
does buttloads of dmg and has like a 3 sec rof
great tracking great lock time frigs cap is gone in seconds if they get close
great gang support ship
plus bling value of bbeing completely t2
sucks against a POS tho i dont recomend it!

My Eagle fitting:
4x 250 mm Railgun II (32.01 Tf and 217.12 MW) 2x Arbalest Assault Launcher (22.5 Tf and 46 MW)
1x Y-S8 Hydrocarbon I Afterburners (25 Tf and 50 MW) 1x Small Shield Booster II (29 Tf and 3 MW) 2x Medium Shield Extender II (86 Tf and 64.408 MW) 1x Target Painter II (24 Tf and 1 MW)
3x Magnetic Stabilizer II (30 Tf and 1 MW) 1x Power Diangnostic System II (16 Tf)
The power and CPU needs are of course modified by my current skill level & implants. I use this for lvl 3 missions, but haven't yet tested it for the the extravaganzas. The two med shield extenders give me a total shield of 4000+, and I can run the small shield booster + guns without taking the cap to 0. I prefer the target painter to a webbie, as it has a longer range. I'm thinking of subbing one of the mag stabs for a tracking enhancer though.
The following skills may come in hand to fit this setup (prerequisite skills omitted):
Electronics (increases CPU) Weapon Upgrades (reduces CPU need of turrets)
Engineering (increases powergrid) Advanced Weapon Upgrades (reduces turret & launcher power need) Shield Upgrades (reduces shield extender power need)
Any thoughts?

Thought I'd put my Eagle PVP Camping Kit
2x T2 Heavy Neutron Blasters 2x T2 Heavy Ion Blasters 2x Medium Diminishing Nosf ----- 2x SB T2 3x Tracking Comp T2 ----- 2x RCU 2x DMG Mod
Works great, sit ontop of a gate, and with anti matter ammo you'll hammer anything that jumps thru a gate with some darn nice dmg. Make's a great addition to a inty/AF gate camp, frig's insta scramble, you toss the final blow's.

Used it a bit yes. 3 options:
1) Solo sniper 4x250II 1xMed Nos 1xCloaker (the lame version) 1xMed techII sb 1xEM hard 2xsens boostII 1xTrack comp II 2xmfs 2xtrack enhII Kills frigs yes (II) boring yes.
2) Dmg dealing for small group 4x250II 2x Assault 1xABII 1XmedsbII 1xEM 1xX5web 1x20km 3xmfsII 1xtrackII 3) "Kill the Rax maller" setup:4xHNeut/IonsII 1xMed-1xS Nos 1xmwd 1xsbII 1xEM 1x7.5 1xX5 4xmfsII
Notes: Difficult ship to use generally. For me option 2 shines the most and its better to warp in after the tacklers and at 30-40km. At present mfsII work much better on it than pduII IMO. After RMR LtechII shield extender will be a great mod on it I think. In option 2 it would mean something like dropping the ab for it and using SsbII or gist (the small - lol at 400mill on Eagle). If it really improves the tanking ability A LOT then mids could become 1xmfs 2xpduII 1xdmgcII or somthing.
At present not only it needs the dmg mods that make it good at gank but its also pointless to tank it further (other than in otpion 3).Why? Tanking as above (i.e only with mids) is respectable and good enough for 40km fight with any cruiser HAC and some BSs too (not pulse geddon lol). So if you can keep that range or kill fast anyway etc you ll be fine. Once they close up with you (5km say) no amount of tanking will save you. Your guns cant hit, the assaults are doing 8DPs against tanked cruiser ( ) and you have no drones while they do. Its a leave or die thingy [which is why some Eagle pilots fit stabs. I dont but I am very careful -and have lost a couple too - .
The above of course do not apply to option 3. But its no Deimos DPS wise and with no drones...
1 Clever use for Eagle: I was powned by an Eagle in my ceptor yesterday like so: He was on sniping ss above a gate and I said "hek lets try it". I kept high trans and 3.7m/s all the way and approached web scram nos etc within 3km taking only light missle dmg I could tank all day... and then was powned by his M blasters or S rails (dunno which log was broke). Nice tactic on his part (me teh noob for not hitting "look at" - assuming if you are at snipping spot uu must be snipping :|). He was RA too... wtf I thought they were all lame

My eagle setup: Hi - 4 250mm t2 , 2 arby assault Med - target painter 2, tracking comp 2, 2 sensor booster 2, EM (Active) Low - 2 mag stab t2, 1 Damage contol t2, WCS
Pretty nice resist (lowest resist is 67 i believe, 2 over 80). Around 1.5 sec lock time. I can hit w/ iridium at 110k+ and shread all frig types. Using antimatter got wrecking shots from 239 to 479 (range up to 60k). Pretty nasty support. Also nice on gate camps for those pesky scouts that like to warp in at 100k from gate.

Edit: looking for a Deimos and a Vaga mock battle to coplete test series ... after thatit gets TMed and active duty

Once Med spike ammo come out they will need to add a warp to 200KM option just for the eagle.

My lazy mans mission Eagle:
4x 250mm T2 Rails (Antimatter) 2x Arba Assault
Gistii Small Shield booster Large T2 Shield Extender Fleeting Web 10MN T2 AB T2 Invulnerability Field
2x T2 PDU 2x T2 MagStab
The Gistii small shield booster repairs *almost* as fast as a med T2 (95%) for 35% of the cap use, so all this can run *almost* non-stop (with lvl 4/4 cap skills)
There is no lvl3 mission that gets me below 70% shield, and I can hit upto 55km away, with wreckings of 500+
I'm working on getting myself into a Vulture (33 days for BC lvl5 )

if i have long range bm's (200km ish) from the target location or a cov ops to give me a warp in point, i like to use this sniping set-up
high
4x 250mm railgun II's 2x assualt missile launcher
mid
2x sensor boosters 2x tracking computers 1x c5-l large shield booster
low
3x magnetic field stabilizer II's 1x pdu II
ammo
spike M (t2 long range, high damage, low tracking ammo)
its a difficult set-up to use, but u have such fast lock-on times and such great range (190km ish) you can kill most smaller ships very quickly and be out again before they can respond
the shield booster and assualt launchers are not really essential, the only reason i included them, is that it might give me a fighting chance against any interceptors that got to scramming range, you could fit a MWD instead of the booster if you planned to stay in the fight longer by increaseing the distance between you and your target even further

You should try it. Warping to a camp of 20+ hostiles with BSs frigs HACs etc and popping 1-2 frigs and out again is plain ebil and ****es peeps off. + being in an Eagle you are much faster at warping in and out which adds to the ****ing off factor

i havn't flown the eagle yet (got the skills but not the isk) but the one thing i would say is never just have a "set-up" if your set up cant adapt and be changed you will die sooner rather than later. from every thing i've learnt from the harp the eagle should make an awsome sniper (could get a optimal of 120km in my harpy!!), but its also an awsome blaster boat! (never gonna be as good as the deimos granted) the one thing caldari as a race have against them and thats speed, all the ships are so so slow so blasters can be tricky.
GIVE THE EAGLE 5 TURRET SLOTS!!!!
