I just logged on after DT and convoed someone. Forty-five seconds later I get the 100 ISK service charge popup box.

Yes, I am trying to log on now, and 3 minutes on, I am still entering space...
Servers didn't wake up properly from their mid-day nap, maybe?

I can't get passed the authentication, it just seems to time out...

Same for me. Logged in to train a well times skill (2 mins left when I got in) and ended up waiting ages for the next skill to load.

Looks like they're having the same database problems again that occured last sunday.
Folks over at CCP should think about getting this right rather than pumping ore and more unfinished source code for new half finished features into the servers.

That's because downtime isn't over, it's only 11:51. You are experiencing 5000 solar systems being fired up at the same time as 1000's of users try to log in.
This has always been like this and will subside in 15 minutes or so when the whole universe and most of the player rush has passed.

Oveur, you might want to consider not allowing access to the servers until all those 5000 solarsystems are properly fired up. You will get less complaints that way and players won't lose any gaming time by it

Hmm ive never had this problem after normal downtimes, not after 2k people have already logged in that is

well, I don't think this is true...
It never happened like this before, and I have been logging on at 11:30 roughly regularly on week-ends, and it is generally the other way around: servers up, no too many people yet logged in, and performance smooth as a baby's bottom.

No, I see a lot of nodes have gone down since the cluster was fired up, we're rebooting to start up with full capacity again.

appreciate d/t isnt over yet - however this *feels* different to the usual 'server is only just up' vague slowness.

In what way was that an arrogant reply. Or impolite. He stated facts. would you have liked a preface along the lines. "Dearest over sensitive eve players i'm very sorry please don't kill me"

Hmmm..... what a pity... maybe you should really think about bringing the login online AFTER all systems/clusters/servers are properly up and ready to welcome us. I guess it¦s hard for the login-servers to handle the 2000 logins in the first 15-30 minutes...
