I propose that we start listing hunting grounds for those little jet cans we all love so dearly. It's hard to find current or regular hot spots for jet can miners so why not post in this thread systems that can yield some easy ISK. Let's use the following format for follow-up posts.

Notes : Can usually find jet can miners all times of the day. Can sell Trit for 3.12 per (highest in region)

hi there ! I do like idea of you documenting "hot spots" for us ore scavangers to find ores ! thanks.
but as for me, i only hunt ore in .8 or lower, and only from pilots with at least a months experience.... in 0.9 and 1.0 its mostly new pilots who don't know any better, I let the amatuer ore theives steal from them !!
its much more of an adventure to go to .3 to .7 etc. and take ore from mining vetrans who "can" defend themselves against our tactics (either by shooting or secure can), and if not, well... they can always war me... and now put a bounty.

What about Jita?
Perhaps one of the most populated systems in the galaxy.. a .9, therefore no secure containers are allowed. I usually see no less than 150 people at any one time, and I think the most I've seen is abotu 250 or so. Ice belt, quite a few belts. Yulai = 2 jumps away :P

Seriously, if there are miners there, there are cans there. If there are miners there, there are map blobs there. So map blob = cans.
But I'm with EVE's best roleplaying member of the Unorthodox Mineral Acquistion community, there's more money and more excitement to be had out there in .8 and down, so leave Jita to the younger types.

I dont have a problem with Ore Thieves. Its a good way for a noob to get some starter cash, buts thats about it really. As a full time profession i think theres better things u can do in EVE (and more skill intensive things tbh)
Its for noobs and alts, nothing more.
And as for a roleplay element....give us a break.
Roleplay to make my profession look less lame 4tw?

You realise of course that any uber theiving systems posted here will become a jet-can void within a week, since theives are normally quite rare outside highways.
Still, as I'm a sec can miner, you and your friends are welcome to come and clear out all the other miners from my home system.

You might also look at Ipref and adjacent areas. Not that much of a blob but a lot of easy pickings.
Tash-murkons ice field often always good.
Isazawa can be amazing sometimes if you hit it right, and the adjacent areas. |

Well, unless they fly massive space haulers around in real-life, stealing big cans full of discarded ore, then yes they are roleplaying.

Its been some time since someone threw in the ole " Wait till criminal flagging comes in ...that will show them damn ore thieves" card. I hate to break your heart buttercup but not all ore thieves are "alts", and some of us bastards have teeth. I guess that the criminal flagging for ore stealing is going to be onesided. So all the ore thieves can choose to do is run.
Fine by me, as long as only the owner can shoot and perhaps the secure cans get abolished.

nah I think all these 0.5+ players have never seen a tempest in action, cause it sucks in mining and missions. probably thy think its a big aggeration of trash drifting in space

Yea that is stupid if you ask me. Its like saying... I WILL STRIKE HERE AT MIDNIGHT. How many jetcan miners do you hope to find if you say things like that?
BTW when they put criminal flagging in "stealing" ore in my BS maybe the only way I can get a fight  cant wait to do it in my raven or tempest
