The person we search for must be a 100% active fanatic! The "old" leaders will help to get the new leader "possitioned" and we also keep playing, but we dont have the time to organize hunts every day. We recommend: - good reputation (fairplay/no logoff/no smack) - if possible known pirate - experience in small - medium size battles - ability to lead people - creativity - english language and TS - fearless - brain We offer: - 20 battle experienced pirates - know-how - infrastructure in Pure Blind and Syndicate - guerillia bases in Yulai and Aunenen - payment: Loot share - 50.000+ targets - ready programmed kill-board www.tundragon.com - pirate forum http://subroc.net/teddybears/ - simply the best way to play this game The person we search for will have to take command about our and our allies ships, organise hunts mostly every day (euro time - evening). We really need a fanatic! Someone who has only in mind how to kill or toll other players and how to extract nice loot out of their ships. It¦s not that we dont have good leaders - we need a guy that is willing to sacrifice 1-2 years rl for EVE. Most of us did this already and only want to be in a "fighter-role" and want to spend less time in organizing.

I commend both the leadership for knowing its loyal friends and fighters need active leadership and I commend the fighters for recognizing leadership for what it is. A royal pain in the arse .Not without its rewards but.. Given these facts please realize what is needed here unfortunately is an adult with a sense of humor with alot of in game experiance and connections. All rare commodities in EVE wrapped in 1 player I'm afraid. Be selective in who you choose drakes I think your a prize.

Your fleet commander should be able to track like half a dozen squads in different systems, each squad somethig like 2-6 pilots. So the question is, what software do you use to visualize all this and have a strategic overview of stuff happening? 'Cause I need one, but I can't find any, no1 even mentions anything lilke this. PS I'm not taking about TS or Ventrilo. Im tackign about tracking of 50+ pilots by squads, location and status. PSPS if its a big secret for public forum to post in, could some1 please evemail me. I would claim: Organizing and coordinating alliance movement needs a staff of people like a RL fleet operation needs a staff. The ingame browser is able to read out the locations of characters - at least it was possible for our hacker-pirate Master Zowell to program this feature. Should be possible to track your troops with the ingame browser if they refresh the page after each jump...
Epofhis	Posted - 2005.05.19 06:41:00 - [74] Edited by: Epofhis on 19/05/2005 06:43:04 In my exp, when you start making complex plans and what not u get screwed, a rule of thumb for me that seems to carry me well is "keep it simple stupid", I keep tabs on my guys by sending them to places i know where they are, and reconing them, and keep a main bulk, in my exp, spliting forces means certain death, as concentrated fire reigns suprm in Eve. And its much more awkward and ungangly to courdinate several gangs at once. Just some food for thought. Even if some tool where to exsist, I would hardly use it, as it would take my focus off the task at hand. And if you dont know where your troops are to start w/ you have some serious command issues there are you happy now, my sig fits every rule. Now, no delete me pls, I promise to be good!!!11010101!!

Our teamwork is pretty good so we usually know each others position and plans. Who are you? and what teamwork? I thought were a solo mining alliance?? Wanna fly with me?

I was thinking of quitting eve next month as there seems nothing more to do with it. I have 2 18mill+ skill chars both CEO's 2 x 8mill+ chars and over 1billion ISK. Might disband my Goodfellas corp n join tdg see if it livens my game up. Sorry not interested in the CEO post though. Will ave a chat TinUK bout joining u guys.

We are looking for a commander. odd recruitment :p the commander place is quite difficult if you are new in a corp : you need to gain the trust of the other pilots, and know their capacities. And of course all the corp will judge you. that's quite scary if you don't know the people imo

Instead of changing the missiles the way I've seen, which I can say I do see a lot of problems with, perhaps just use a more realistic system like this (which is much more balanced): In another game, VegaStrike, the missiles are balanced in a much better way than what I've seen here... the guns here work better, but anyhow... on to the subject. _______________________________________________________________________________________________ Torpedoes (longest range) heavy hitting, slow moving/tracking missiles. They shoudl still do maximum damage... but they shoudln't be able to hit anything that isn't extremely slow (like a battleship). Cruise Missiles (long range) slightly less powerful than torpedoes, but can track slightly better, and have a higher velocity. Medium Sized Missiles (medium range) are pretty fast, have decent tracking, and do a good amount of damage. Rockets (medium/long range) are dumbfires, have no tracking, have the fastest speed, and do a good amount of damage since they have more room for explosive materials that a tracking system would normally take. (cheapest missile here) Light Missiles (short range) have light payloads, but can turn around the edge of a dime, and are quite fast. a few should be able to kill a frigate, but not even scratch a larger ship (though they will almost always HIT one). With this, there would be no damage modifications needed at all. The missile has its own guidance, speed, damage etc already set. They could possibly increase server loads since they woudl require thier own tracking AI, but that shoudln't be a problem since the currently used ones seem to as well. It would also get rid of the unrealistic prediction that the current missiles have and would make them more like real ones! I'd love to hear a comment from a DEV on this one since I haven't seen any in quite a while....
