This event feels so messed up. First we put in loads of work trying to earn a navy issue Dom as we are drone useÆs then we find out at the last second the reward is changed. I would never have taken part if the reward was a Nav Mega. Then I find out the Verge Vendor region where our corp works has problems so there are no results yet.
I really liked the idea as I prefer none combat events but this event needed a little more planning.
At least we have a excellent looking patch to look forward to.
I think that if you have a Navy Mega it should be fairly easy to get that traded for a Navy Dom. Should be way more difficult the other way round.

We did sugest an upgrade to megas but shame they didnt add a runners up Thorax & even maybe a frig low end hehe but atleast we can move on.
Id also like a full list, cos if I only lost by a small amount I have screens showing how long each drop took & how long I waited on GM to unbug my missions.
Well done winner & nice to see Jenny won & not Josh's corp.
Iv spotted a minmatar corp also with minmatar CEO thats not right.

I could be wrong but I was thought the only way to get Navy Dom was from Events. From agents LP rewards you can get a Navy mega but not a Navy Dom.
Or did I get that wrong can you get a Navy dom from LPÆs?

Yesterday, Tri-Optimums' nominated emissary had the temerity to ask, in the election thread in the Events forum, when the next stage of the election would be taking place.
That thread was promptly locked by a moderator who said (perhaps in ignorance or perhapswith more truth than he knew) that it had "run its course".
I recall being promissed a "Summer of Fun" participating in a number of election events. Well, the voting closed getting on for 3 months ago(on 26th May actually), the winning Corps have been announced, and.........nothing.
OK, the devs have other things to do, but I dont like being given a "come-on" like this. If they intend continuing with this maybe a little news item to propel the story arc would be nice, to show we are not forgotten, or just an announcement a new president is eleceted so we know not to expect any more.
If anyone wants to add anything, better be quick, because I do not suppose it will take a moderator getting on for 3 months to lock this thread as having "run its course", too.

Content truly is the weakest side of this great game*, and part of this problem is that almost all events never go anywhere and have so little noticable impact on those not directly involved.
I truly hope Kali is designed to fill out the galaxy storywise and isn't just another 'bigger, better ship upgrade'.
There's a semi-famous division of MMO gamers as fighters, socializers, achievers and explorers. Those of us who complain about the events, about the lack of hidden stuff off the beaten paths (how many separate times have people thought up 'ship ruins' in the features forum?) and the lack of tangental storylines to track down are usually the explorers, and we'd like more stuff to do in EVE.
*When the server is working**, of course.

We should be electing an emissary already? Towards what purpose? We would need a general idea of what this person would be up for to be able to select the best suited for the job.
I'm getting more and more certain this event is going to get tossed out the window and be replaced with the default shoot something some place for something, the end...

My corporation was planning on keeping our Megathron for roleplay purposes, and were looking forward to continuing the event.
This has gone on too long now, so we've given up and decided to just sell this ship and get hte ISK instead.
Roleplay and EVE just doesnt seem to mix. All the major events are plagued with delays, the only things the events have more than delays are excuses. This sucks  we were looking forward to taking part.
Foiritain didnt need to change the laws to be able to run for another term, he'll have finished another term by the time the election starts.

And to add, were not simply upset about the delay, were upset about the fact there has been no news, no dev blogs, no nothing about this.
It destroys all point of having a story if it is starting and stopping non-stop for no apparent reason.
There's so many simple things that could be going on right now, election propaganda, simple events from the volunteer program, information being fed out about the election, anything, but we've had nothing for a very silly amount of time now.

Did you guys hear about that Gal TITAN that got STOLEN from the Federation a while back? As I recall, a large group of pod pilots assisted the Serpentis in the theft. Pretty unreal, huh? You know what happened next?!?!

Think the problem with that event was that the titan wasn't suposed to reach it's destination to begin with so no extra storry was written for it.

In real life, there would be non-stop controversy, conspiracy theorys, people trying to get stupid quotes from important people. politics, goverment spewing crap about tracking it down... but nadda... sounds like the Federation has a better control over the press than the UK does anyway.

What CCP is in dire need of is a scriptwriter who can churn out a constant flow of storyline elements to make the universe come alive. everything from the titan's theft and "fear and loathing on the campaign trail with foiritan" to news articles on global warming on Salia VII meaning flooding has ruined one of the largest crop production areas... and so on.

Judging from my past experience in MMORPG beta and releases, my best guess as to what is happening is:
Step 1. the idea sounded good on paper
Step 2. worry came in about balance issues and the idea just went cold
Step 3. someone up there doesn't have the balls to let you down
If you've been waiting a year bud, imo just find another event or something else to do.

I guess we will just keep on creating our own content.
I know Oveur said that CCPs job was to give us the tools, and we can build the universe, and I fully agree with him in that respect. However, if you give us some tools for an event, at least let us play the event out.
We have had plenty to do (as a corp) since the first part of this event. I just don't want to commit the guys to something then pull them off for this.
Any news (good or bad) would help.

Guess what? That's what AURORA's mission is supposed to be..you know, those ISD "NPCs" that drop Tech 2 loot? Thing is they're so hamstrung on what they can do that it's more or less pointless to do anything with them except try to blow them up.

Could we PLEASE get some information on this, i mean, anything! even a "We dont care anymore" or something.
We've had promises well broken, and then promises after the broken promises broken. The Game Events > Gallente > Election page STILL has the "Select your CEO" option to join up for the original event! and you have to search to find out its actually over and who the winning corps are!

Meh.... nevermind Gallente elctions, after the long drawn out process to select one they will only have him executed a few months later making any influence of the winning candidate on the long term story negligible....
What I want to know, is what happened to the 'Start of the Jovian story arc' that was the distribution of all those body parts at the like, 1 year aniversary of EVE......

CCP's habit of failing to finish almost ANY story line is the thing that ****es me off the most about this game
There are SOOOOOOOOOOOO many story lines unfinished. The main one that springs to mind from my alliances perspective is the Cure for Vitoc
There was also the Tyrant fleet, the Matari lords, all those dudes that turned up at the monument in Pator.... the list goes on......

Man, why not just give all the Gallente one free ticket to be kicked in the genitals?
Granted the involved corporations got a reward but as an aspiring Gallente roleplayer it saddens me to see that even CCP can't be bothered to complete any Gallente roleplay.
Seriously, to think that this will go down as the Gallente event makes my want to give all hopes of roleplay, fit up a gank ship, and go fight until I get a high score.

Who cares if the event is running or not, it's a total joke anyways. What does mission grinding have to do with an election? 
Seriously, the election is a total letdown, wht did the first stage even accomplish? Give some special ships to mission grinders? Are these people acctually gonna represent their candidates now? What qualifies them to do that? Running a bunch of missions to get a cool ship?
