What do you call your ships?
My ships:
La Isabela (Ishkur)
La Kassin (Catalyst)
La Chanelle (Navitas)
La Betty (Imicus)
La Belladonna (Not yet, but some day I'll name a very special ship this)
La Aurora (Some day I'll name an Interceptor)
You connoisseurs out there might recognize these names. For those who don't, well, you may stick with your Jenna Jameson and whatever the other "pros" are called.

The St David
The Vistafjord
The Exeter
etc...
Trouble is, I tend to go through 'em a lot faster than Her Majesty's finest do, so I'm starting to run out of names!

It depend upon my mood, and also the feeling i have to the ship.
My Domi is named "Le Pandora" from the Crimson SKies well known Carrier of the same named.
My Thorax is "L'Atlantis", french name for the most famous Corsair's Ship (Albator is the name ;))
Also have : The Taer of Osiris (Ishkur), The Flame of Orion (Enyo), The Cristal Phantom (Celestis) and other ships named the same way ;)

My inties are all named after WWII planes - Spitfire, Hurricaine, Hellcat, Corsair etc, as they are the dogfighters of Eve 
Oh and I've a Scythe called "Fredbob's 'Cardboard Plated' Scythe" from when the character limit was much bigger

I usually borrow heavily from movies and books I've read, or fall back on US Navy naming convention:
Star Wars:
Large capital ships (battlecruisers, battleships)I use traits like Fearless, Relentless, Intrepid, Valiant or names like Devastator, Avenger, Stormhawk, Nemesis from Star Wars books.
Cruisers I sometimes use weapon names like Broadsword, Crossbow, Katana, Scimitar etc.
Destroyers and frigates I tend to use weapon names as well, depending on mood, or I'll use names of birds of prey: Eagle, Falcon, Peregrine.

Mine are all named after Deities, used to have all of my Minmatar ships named after Egyptian gods, Gallente after Greek, Caldari were Norse, the few Amarrian ships were named after Aztec gods (this got complicated "Chicomecoatl" anyone 8)
Now I just name them how I feel, still mostly deities, some Hindu gods have started appearing recently. |

Hrmm...
I usually name my ships something that coinicdes with my friend's ship name.
For example, our mission runner frigates atm are named "Mercurius" and "Vayatte" (sp? Dunno his ship's exactly)
For other ships though, I go with random words. For example, my Stabber is named "Aranabelestii" - My Scythe is named "Losinius", etc etc... Just whatever random word pops into my head is what my ship is named.

I use a similar method.
I started by naming my amarr ships after Assyrian kings during beta. If you see a ship called Shamsi-Adad, Tukulti-Ninurta, Shalmaneser, Ashurbanipal or Tiglath-Pileser, that's probably me.
