I started a small corporation about a month ago and starknight joined us several days afterwards. During the 2 weeks he was with us he acted like any other normal well intentioned individual, till one day he robbed us blind. He took most of our BP's and copies, he also stole all our minerals and some high end equipment. When he was done pillaging our little corp he blocked us and we never heard a word from him since.
Now I see him in the trade channel trying to sell a Dominix and Megathron BP. I don't know whether he stole these BP's from a corp or he is trying to pull of a scam and lure some poor unsuspecting but rich individual. If you see him don't deal with him unless it's an exchange of searing hot laser fire.
If any one has any information on how this low life got his hands on two Battleship BP's please let me know. Don't deal with Starknight he can't be trusted.

Why any corp would give access of all blueprints and copies to someone they've known for 2 weeks is beyond me.

He was one of our chief researchers and manufacturers. He needed access to our BP's to make improvements on them.

You gave him access. That means he or she can do whatever they want. That is part of the game. He is NOT a thief! You gave him access, therefore he had every right to take the BP's and other items. If did not want this to happen, then you should not have given access to him.
BTW, you can setup corp hangers so that a person can research and manufacture, without having access to the BP's.

Eagle what kind of utterly stupid **** are you talking about? He had the right to take it???? He had the ability to take it and the opportunity but he did not have the right. If you have a neighbor that you trust and you ask them to water your plants for you while you are gone, then you give them the keys to your house. By your assinine reasoning, they have the RIGHT to go in and take all your belongings. Afterall, you gave them access and trusted them, so they have the RIGHT. Learn what RIGHTS are and please get off the ***** pipe.

This game fosters thiefs. And its not a bad thing, its all part of the corporate eve world.. I don't even think the original poster was saying that.. He was just letting us know what kind of character this guy is, and that we should watch ourselves when dealing with him and pod the theif if we see him.

Wow, really EaglesFire? Well if that's true then I suppose I should take all those computers and equipment at work!
Seriously now, he IS a thief. But I don't really have a problem with the the fact he took it, it's something game mechanics allow. I think it totally fits into RP.
But he IS a thief, to say he is not.. well let's not go there... Wouldn't want to see that polaris guy go *click*.

LOL
The second I read this post I knew some people would step up and say it's normal, it's your fault you (insert swear words here), you should ..., you shouldn't ...
I'm actually almost surprised these people didn't step up saying the same bs when posts are reporting accounts stolen. After all stealing account is part of life, it's like in the real world, oh, it IS the real world. It's your fault ....

And you STILL haven't placed a bounty on his head? Wouldn't be bad siccing a few bored bounty hunters after him. I'll even chip in if you really want this guy to have miserable playing hours :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

My members can make ships/research bp's without being able to take them, just set their hangar rights to view only not take.

With the new system what you do is give the access to remove things from the hangar but do NOT give them the ability to view that hangar.
This way they can use the factory wizard thing to access the BP's but since they cannot view stuff from the normal hangar options they cannot remove them.
Simple enough?

And putting bounties on someone's head is a bit of a joke as well. I'd get a buddy to blow me up and give me 90% of the bounty. ('course this only applies if bounty-10% > clone cost).

Can someone explain the english judge joke?
Anyway, I would say that this guy, and people like him, is a thief. Because he is taking stuff that isn't really his. HOWEVER this IS a part of the game, so even if it is wrong to do so, he's not breaking any game rules. I hope you see the difference..

<<Can someone explain the english judge joke?>>
1) You have to be British. 2) You have to be a Judge. 3) Your surname needs to be Pickles.
It was funny, trust us Brits.
