Hi, I've been playing for about a month now and I'm getting a little bored.
So, what I'm asking is, does anyone have some advice as to what I could get up to when I'm solo-ing? When corp members are on there is stuff to do, when I'm solo-ing I get bored.
I've got a Probe set up for mining, a Merlin for some combat and I'll be able to fly my Badger II shortly for some afk mining.
I was doing Agent missions but after 70 missions and reading other posts here it does not seem worthwhile any more.
Solo-mining is not my idea of fun!
So, any ideas what I could do to make some cash and have some fun?
I would pirate hunt but since my perception and willpower are my lowest stats it takes a while to train my combat related skills.
Thanks for the ideas! --- The Universe is a big place, perhaps the biggest. |

I was watching a convoy getting pasted by a pirate. I am thinking about carrying out escort duties for convoys and industrials. I have no idea how to advertise services without spamming chat channels. When I am training skills up, I go and hang out at asteroid fields offering to blow away pirates for various people, for a fee of course. I have numerous business ideas which will work in the game but we have no service advertising board. I don't think you can do it through the missions board.

-go on a tour, see the monuments of the past (like the eve-gate) -try to go where no one has gone before -find the mythical Jumpgate to Jove-Space
to name a few things to do :D

Don,
When you are on solo, there is plenty to do.
I spend time wandering round different regions to check out different prices on minerals. Set some buy orders up for trit at 1isk in all the noob systems, buy loads of the stuff, and then wander around selling it at higher prices, keeps you busy and with an industrial ship, you can make a decent amount of money doing so.

All of the suggestions already given sound like good ways to keep yourself entertained =D Also, get the learning skills for perception and willpower and train them up. Your stats will be better so your combat skills will train faster and then you can go pirate hunt =D

How much perception do you need to pirate hunt?
Is there any minimum? * * *

Naylon: Although you CAN find trit being bought abouve 1isk it's few and far between and in too smaller quantities. I'm assuming you acctually meant ISO or PYrite
