Just give me the option to set an aggresive/defensive posture and the extra command to defend a target (like a gangmate hauler or miner, etc) and I'd be happy. With drone interfacing V trained and ready for carriers, drones are very near and dear to my he |

With plans to bring out drone carriers, I certainly hope CCP spend some more time looking into drones and skills for improving them. Even now as a primary weapon they are very weak compared to the other weapons.
An issue I do see is on ships like the Thorax which are already VERY powerful (some would say one of the most powered cruisers) an increase in drone abilities might make them a bit over the top.

I love drones, and they could be so much more functional then they are.
Old joke I'm sure, but I would love to have a Loot drone.
Base its design on the mining drone. It goes out and returns ore, why not one that can go out and retrieve loot?
And the idea to have drones defend a target, in a word, brilliant.

All's I want is my drones to only attack things that are attacking me. I hate lunching them and then all of the suddon seeing the rest of the mobs in the area start targeting me cause a few drones ran up to then and started to attack

Drones that do as they're told would be nice, rather than getting half way to their target then stopping and attacking something totally different.

When I started out I was actually suprised that I couldnt get more control over my drones
You should be able to pick a specific target and tell your drone flock to protect it for example.
With the agility and speed the drones are endoved with, they should be an excellent missile defence.
More dronetypes with specific roles, please! This is sooo overdue CCP.
etc etc etc
