what about a lo power modules to allow drones to collect from cargo containers? i'd love it if my drones could open containers from the NPC they just blasted and return the goodies to me.

I came up with a nearly identical proposal aroundthe same time, so signed.
OTOH, I'd add a couple of other commands:
-Aggressive Defense(aggro-mode) This would make the drones automatically attack anything that came in your threat range or locked onto you.
-Multi-targeting This mode would assign one drone to every target, or as close as possible. Their goal would be to enable you to escape by engaging as many seperate targets as possible.

/signed...they also coudl use a command to "defend target"....that would be a nice added dimension to drone combat. Also options to orbit ship (or defense target) at various ranges....would be a good covert ops shield...
...hang on, I fly covert ops! On second thoughts, that sounds like a really BAD idea

We need a droneskill that increases the orbitrange on drones
since all it takes is a smartbomb and the drones are dead.
Also, why are drones approaching target a maximum speed, but
when you recall them - theyŚre slower then my grandma in a
wheelchair with a flattire...

I'd also like to see an "orbit target" option, which would let you have your dones orbit the target, just waiting for your "attack" command.
