 hello-what is the concensus about this idea? i love destroyers-but it looks almost as if they had a T2 destroyer in mind-i mean the thrasher i use has only a measly 2 lowslots!
i think they should make them in the T2 variety-for 30 mil or so-put these above elite frigates-i think they would be pretty impressive-maybe even unbalancing! they would probly look somewhat like an enyo-in that 800 armor range-with 8 turrets and more med and low slots-i wish they would add these!
i think eveeryone would use them too much or something-oh well :)

t2 destroyer .. aww, these would rip through frig fleets without any trouble

I dont think tech2 destoyers would be such a gread idea. Seeing as how they can get pranked so easily by most anything, it would not be a cost effective ship considdering how much more it would cost.

Don't think practicality...think in terms of coolness and ideals  .
Seriously though I'd love a T2 destroyer. Slots and grid for 8 T2 small turrets, same amount of med slots (maybe 1 more) but either 3 or 4 low slots for damage mods and other stuff. And obviously AF class base resistances. No turret rate of fire penalty and a slightly higher damage bonus or range bonus, or maybe both.
Making these would make my EVE .
And while your at it - how about T2 battlecruisers .

Well, there is still no point in adding content in areas that are of no use after the first few days of playing EVE.
Until the great chain of predation is established as somewhat circular, there will be no purpose at all to develop any ships are models below the battleship class.
Destroyers and cruisers would be pretty useful if they pretty much operated in their own end of the spectrum where they were the only real consistent threat to frigates.
One solution of many to sort of rectify the imbalance, at least for travel.
Tech 2 destroyers could use a little more range, or some speed.

Tried hitting a frigate with a battleship gun lately? Tried hitting a frigate with a torpedo after the missile haul?
What does a battleship with a frigate within 10 kilometers after the missile overhaul?

you mean the inty die slow painful and humiliating death right?
just please enlightening me with which frigate and what fitting can accompilish all the followings
a. break a BS's tank
b. doing 3k+ so can reduce missile damage
c. tank missiles and drones
d. have enough mid slot/cap/cpu to fit a warp scrambler

Oveur said that Tech 2 Destroyers were planned 2 devchats ago.
Bout time those pesky inties and assualt frigs got to fear something larger then them.
