Just more future vision that we wont likely see for a long long if ever time. Though putting a personal POS up (after revamp) at any district could graphically attach the POS with a Space Elevator and that POS could acquire PI goods faster than any other setup. It may not be a far flung future idea.

Well XP goes out this year, so we will have that end as soon as someone comes up with a worm. Windows 7 master race coming in. Linux doesnt cont as a race, they are a different genus all together.

Still use Windows XP on main computer, also i bought extra orginal copy before they stop manufacture this OS and delivery XP to mass seling (just to have it as artefact in future ) , its realy awesome OS that still support probably 90% or more existed games based on dx9 and other software , well, when things changes i swich to win 7, so far it support few games. EvE isn't game, its style of living.

I think its a recurring problem for microsoft... one OS is GREAT the next one is GARBAGE... yeh i didn't like vista, only was decent after lots of patching... shouldn't have to be that way, out of the box stablity ya know? 7 is huge gain over vista 8 looks like it was designed for TABLETS, not PCs, maybe micro was gambling that we would be using touchscreen monitors.... Then again this is the company that just patented remote hug pillows....

Indeed it's a very good reason to fock up the other 50% using other thing than an old OS most of those keeping it it's not a matter of money to change it but because they DON'T want to change it. Awesome.

I've said it before: if you gave people 12 months to upgrade their system/os/gpu, this would not be an issue - and it would give you great opportunity to tweak the client, and flush out older code. I am a computer tech IRL, and I have used windows 8 for about 5 minutes, 10 tops then formatted the machine and stuck XP MCE back on it. :P Don't mistake fact for arrogance, supposition for fact, or disagreement for dismissal. Perception is unique in that it can be shared or be singular. Run with the pack if you wish, but think for yourself. A sandwich can be a great motivator.

Even though lots of games still use DX9, you are living in the past with XP, which is due for termination next year.
