I can't stand celebrity hype. Bad things happen to people when said people bring up celebrities IRL. How many celebrities out there are actually worthy of their fame? What is it that they've actually accomplished, and who's to say that given the same opportunities they had, no one else could possibly fill the same shoes?

That's easy. Any of them with real talent.

I like to look at someone famous and be in awe of the particular thing they can do that I cannot.

I watched in awe during the Ryder Cup as those guys hit golf shots continuously that I can only dream of doing once by fluke.
I watch in awe of Patrick Stewart's incredible delivery on stage and screen.
I watched in awe as Mo Farah ran to victory in both the 10,000 and 5,000m at the Olympics

But there's a whole heap of so called celebrities who are apparently famous for just having appeared on TV at some point for whatever reason. We all know who they are and I tend to avoid most modern TV because of it, prefering to watch DVDs, Blu Rays and online streaming services.

Someone being able to do something that you can't do is not a celebrity. It's highly likely that there are things that you can do that they cannot - should they be in awe of you?

I've had coffee and a donut with Greg Allman and I've stood in line behind Steven Tyler while he was buying gum.
