Dear dev team.
I have just got dune reading the dev blog about the insta jumps. http://myeve.eve-online.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=248
Devs this is going to be the biggest nurf in the history of eve. All I have to say is this.

OMFG if you do this I will quit. Why ccp whyyy!!!1 If you do this I will be to scared to move. Your going to kill the game !!! And other crap like that.
But I know you devs. I know you are going to make this work for both sides.
I was in Burn eden. Or power was EW. We screamed and cried just like those other people above when testing started on the ew changes
But we got on and tested and tested and tested. Then we saw that you did not nurfed it as bad as we thought. You made it so that a noob canĘt train over night and become a pro at ew.
I am seeing the same thing with missiles.
I look forward to testing this when you get this on the test server.

CCP gave people the tools they need to counter instas, learn to use em  ---------------------------

Secure cans dont work in 1.0 and 0.9 either, yet ore thieffs often live there. You cant have everything.
And yeah theyre sorta buggy, but after you learn how to use them you can get pretty good results. Ive seen several gate camps intas couldnt get trough  ---------------------------

Not to mention they're getting overhauled in the next patch. All we need is a warp bubble that targets only corps you're at war with and works in empire. There are other ways to fix the problems with instas that don't involve getting rid of them altogether.

You got big divisions form.
I don't know it does or not, but i know when i go through oursuleart and such and there's people doing missions at gates with loads of cans splating around and obviously being made a magnet of a system with ccp's own placing of popular agents for all manner of non/experienced players, not to mention core system...
Well that doesn't help either does it ------------------------

Well, if they nerf instas, say hi to nothing but massive frig blobs. Slowing down travel in BS by a factor of 5 (as removing instas would) just means PvP in BS is going to be insanely slow. And since fast movement and reaction time is in most cases the deciding factor in PvP, it will make BS PvP a bit pointless except for static situations like gatecamping or station taking.

Removing instas = bad for small scale producers.
Would you want to do 20 jumps x 10 moving mins (i realy wouldnt)
20jx10r=no thanks or phasing small scale producers out
Removing instas = good for large corps that can afford a freighter
20 jumps x 1 time

I got up on a soapbox about instas oh about a year and a half ago and was told to adapt and this was the way of the game. What changed? You all just now got fed up and bored with it?
Frankly I don't care much about them anymore, there are ways to counter them, I guess I've adapted and see other deamons...
One thing I really hope they put in to ward off some excessive gatecamping though is responsive faction task forces and somewhat randomized sentry gun fire on the blockaders. 'Cause you know it'll be gatecamp galore.

u sure u wer ein burn eden for very long?just if u think the new ewar is as effective as the old ewar u gotta be kidding me... CCP did make it harder to train so noobs cant do it but.. they removed the player skill element and thats wot sucked, now you just put ure modules on the player and hope that your lucky absolutly no skill to it. If your saying thats as effective as the old multijammig where if you were very skilled you could keep 4 people jammed then you musta been really fekken bad at it. New ewar changes suck use one ship to jam only one other ship effectivly possibly two with t2 gear and good luck... thats far from worthwhile considerng the scorp has easily tankable damage with anyone using 2 armor repairers.
And now onto your post about the instants if you didnt want this to be flaimbait then y didnt you just e-mail the dev team? Removing instants will make traveling ******* painful i maybe wouldnt mind if they let dual propulsion back in but that aint gonna happen. I dont wanna have to spend my entire night just traveling to a couple of targets (0.0 is hard for shootable targets nowadays) to have htem log off before i get there due to my 1 hour and half travel time...
I especailly hate all this talk saying Instants=invulnerbilty.... wtf who got that sodding idea not only are their mobile warps thatl get you owned do the devs and whiners not know about a thing called jumping with your enenmy? catch them on the jump ins thats all you have to do... I.e dont be an ideot and if he instants to the gate fire at him and watch him jump away.. jump when he jumps and tackle him on hte other side i can mange it in a fekken Tempest with an ab and no instants so im pretty sure others must be able to. I just hope the devs arnt so naive... but the logout changes i agree with since that fixes the exploit.

Edited by: Lyle Waters on 12/06/2005 15:52:46 Just make warp drop you out at jump range of the gate, legalise warp bubbles <0.5 systems (not firing etc) that can pull a ship out @ 15km. This keeps travelling easy and camping possible. End of problem. ___________________________________________
