And when I say .. DEEP 0.0 Sec. I mean on the very edges of it....a few stars from falling off da' Map
I ask...becaue, while I have been mining lately... I have been watching the population over the map about once a hour... And noticed, as typical... Most players are in the center (Empire)...then bigger "blobs" per say in certain 0.0 areas.... AND then there is like..... 1500 (or so) systems with no one home....
I understand... No stations... No refineries... No Market... etc... But, all that area seems like a gold mine waiting to happen... I mean... its 0.0 ... maybe good ore/moons/etc.. Traveling back and forth would suck....
Outposts will maybe make these systems more usefull.
Just was brain storming... Wondering if anyone really lives way out

"Proud member of Confederation of the Red Moon. We arn't a mining corp, we arn't a pvp corp, we're a 0.0 corp."

there are lots of people in deep 0.0 just there aren't alot of systems that are economically viable to run an operation out of. and the ones that are are already over crowded

Edited by: General Killah on 15/06/2005 20:13:44 Depending on the route we live about 45 jumps out, with our sister corporation Unknown Shoe, and the other corps in our alliance.
Wouldn't recommend entering our space though as it is a warzone, we shoot any who are not known friendlies. ---------------------------------

We lurk out in the tail end of ASCN space, so yes, there are people out there.

Most 0.0 corporations work in vicinity of NPC/Conquerable stations, since they need a place to store things, repair, clone, etc.

And thats where all the NPC hunters in CLS are based -- The best description of alliances, ever:

Look up Freelancers and the Lebeau(SP) brothers. They're usually FAR away from everything else. Good people too.

That will be us!
35 jumps from A2-V27, or 50+ from Yulai.

Used to spend a lot of time in QYZM. It's the system right at the top of the map, no other systems above it.

Not many corporations live in 0.0 for the reasons you just went into, without realizing it probably, that you could see them there with no effort on your part.

Tons of corporations live in 0.0. Maybe not the vast majority, but way more then "not many" ***********************************

STK lives in impass as we have our POS in a great system.
But despite it being 0.0 space there isn't alot out here atm.
In impass there is only 8 systems with high end ore and they are strip mined daily. There are only 2 complexes in the whole region a level 5 and level 7
So alot of 0.0 doesn't get used as there is nothing there.
But with cosmos we may see a change with that so we wait and hope :)

Yeah right, how is it then that in any given direction on any route taken deep into 0.0 I only ever run across about the same 5 corporations, that's not tons of the thousands of corporations around, that's a few...

I know everyone has there own play style...and plays a large part in this...

I visit the edge of the map for fun on occasion, my last trip, at the tip of Paragon Soul,I found a POS right on the edge of the map and a corp of about 14 active miners one jump from there.
They weren't too happy to see me.
They also couldn't do anything about it.
Vigil FTW.
