Hmm. I was sure they fixed that one ages ago. There were people complaining that they'd farmed 750k spawns and their sec status was really low. Did they revert it?
No, they never fixed the 750k deadspace BS for Gallente, the 1.75m deadspace was bugged too. So anyone doing a Level 4 mission for the Gallente faction was committing an exploit.
Yes I "exploited" this "bug". Please ban me CCP. Also 99% of ex-Star Fraction people "exploited" this "bug". Oh and don't forget 99% of the people I knew in 0.0 "exploited" this "bug". Hell 99% of EVE probably "exploited" this "bug". Which was a widely known "bug" when I started playing over ten months ago. Just ban us all.

Have a beef with someone and pass them in lowsec? Kill them and forever be damned.
Doesn't make me a "pirate" though.
If you got a beef with someone, and don't want to go through the ordeal of dealing with that beef within the boundaries of the law. Then yes, you deal with the consequences.
*sigh*
Did you even read what she wrote earlier?
"Merc" alts war dec noob corps for fun and have mains supply them with ships and weapons. Someone war decs the "mercs" and they don't log in for a week and play on their unknown mains. Only way to get revenge is to catch them in low sec.
If people can't regain sec status fairly easily then 99.99% of "piracy" will be in 0.0 or through legal empire wars. Currently nearly all "piracy" is that anyway.

Originally by: Hastrabull I'm very happy because of this change!
This will cause one thing. Only really dedicated pirates will still be pirates. All the fecking carebears that gank people in .4 space will vanish just because going up in ss is almost impossible.
Nope. The lame gankers will just war dec noobs and Industrial corps.
Or else CCP will screw the war system even further.
If they do then I will use my second account to gank as many carebears as I can and generally ruin anything they would gain from such changes.
I am generally against doing such things, but am so sick of continued whining from a few cowards ruining the game for the majority.

Originally by: Uncle George Can I ask, what your solution is to increasing the number of players in low sec empire 0.0 if it isn't nerfing random gankage? If you have an idea, please post it.
Nerfing pirates won't help. They will just pay to war dec the easy targets. Hell now that sec loss is so harsh people will probably ore thieve in 0.4 and lower

As for using your second account to gank as many carebears - I see you probably do this already so nothing new there. Your attitude is the reason you are getting hit with the nerf bat. Congratulations. You brought it on yourself.
Bzzt. Sorry, thanks for trying. I have never shot anyone in 0.1 to 0.4. I have never shot anyone who had less then a million SP compared to me. And everyone I have ever shot had guns on. And most have been with T1 frigs or cruisers. Well actually I killed one alt in a shuttle during a fleet op but he had plenty of time to warp off as I started 40km away in a kestrel and even warned him.
By the way grow some balls and post with your main.

Originally by: Brej Donierik They should have added a different method for repairing your sec status.
Pirates / PvP'ers are the LEAST likely people to enjoy a grind of any kind; they're into quick combat and instant gratification, having to grind faction is anathema to them. The player who enjoys mining or agent grinding likes it, or can endure it, but not the pirates.
The problem is that with out the 0.4% BS the grind will be the better part of a year. My sec is 2.4, I have been playing 10 months, and only lost sec status a few times (due to arranged duels). I estimate that without all the 750k BS I have killed (just generally NPCing in 0.0) my sec would be about 1. And I would lose most of my sec status if I podded someone.

You will be laughing right up to the point when the whiners get CCP to put sec loss in 0.0.
After all why should you get to kill people free of consequences?

Alright you people are not getting it.
This will not affect the alt pirates, they already have their mains bring them goodies.
This will not stop griefers killing soft targets. Its already easier to do so with legal war decs.
This will affect a normal player who kills an ore thief.
Most random killing is done in 0.0 already where they don't lose sec status or have sentries.
So CCP have pretty much removed full time empire piracy as a career option. Most current full time pirates will either move to a 0.0 corp or to an empire "merc" corp. Ore thieves will now act with impunity in low sec empire as its not worth the sec loss to shot them.

Originally by: Engelious Angelion if you whant to be a pirate, well suffer the concequences
If this change goes through it will be the industrial corps in high sec that suffer the consequences.
Are most people really so stupid that they can't see what will happen? Yes low sec piracy will finally die (It was nearly dead anyway). What do you think all those pirate's are going to do? Become miners? No they are going to go to high sec and empire war industrial corps.
Congrats CCP. You just moved all the risk out of low sec into high sec.

Originally by: Hexae The statistic on the NPC spawn was a typo. (and it wasn't the only one, other spawns had incorrect statistics.) CCP has corrected this typo in this patch, the end.
The volume on jet cans is a typo. I can't wait for all the whining when it gets fixed.
In fact CCP never intended people to mine with cans at all. You are supposed to fly to the station when you cargo is full. Players started it by abusing jet cans, and anchorable cans got added when CCP was going to fix jet cans. But they knew there would be to many complaints and so didn't do it.

Yes it does. It increases the supply of minerals and thus puts downward pressure on mineral prices. Thus affecting another miners profits.

NPCing does not directly damage another player.
Yes it does. If you have lots of ISK then you can compete against other players for rare items. Also you might get rare items which other players are trying to sell, same result as the mining example.

Manufactoring does not directly damage another player.
Yes it does. Same as mining example.
Normally all a pirate can cost you is ISK. If you are really stupid and don't have an up to date clone they might cost you some skill points. But you would need to be podded about three times in a row to lose a month of skill training. Each of those people that podded you would need to spend much longer grinding NPC's.
STOP TALKING ABOUT PIRATES AS IF THEY CAN ACTUALLY KILL YOU. ALL YOU LOSE IS ISK.

No tomorrow is the era of "I just popped an ore thief in a 0.4 and now I have to grind NPC's for three months". Im sure Tenaj is overjoyed that now people won't be able to shoot her in low sec.

weekend pirates FTL
Kind of funny coming from someone with slightly negative sec.
Tried to pirate and couldn't figure out how, eh?

See the thing is that in 0.0, pretty much everyone ganks everyone else. Pirates in empire see you as a source of income. The 0.0 alliances will kill you just for looking funny at "their" roids. So really all the 0.0ers are pirates.
But whatever. I am right and we will see that I am during the week after patch day. By the way you might want to use secure cans for all that low sec mining you are planning on doing. After all, if you waste an ore thief you will be spending an awfully long time NPCing to attone.
Oh and by the way. The real carebear "pirates" are already in 0.0. They sit on the gates into empire in their battleships and jump if anything scares them. But I guess you people wouldn't know that as I doubt you have ever been in a 0.4 or lower.
