To buy all 6 new skills costs <2mil for them. Have you tried buying all the support gunnery skills? I didn't think so. They cost about the same, maybe even more. And try doing anything with a turret without those skills, then compare what you can do with a missile w/o their extra skills.

hell be lucky that EVE torps are guided
so raven pilots can't to lvl 4 angel extravaganza missions by themselves anymore...welcome to the club.
One other thing though, with the reduction of bounties + mission reward/bonus and the lack of loot drop, they are not worth doing in groups. So doesnt really matter if you can't do them solo, because do them in groups doesn't pay off and is a waste of time.
If they want to push for groupings, then reduce the spoils to share, now that is rather daft imho.
13.6 mill ISK in bounties for the serp extravaganza which I soloed.
3.4 mill ISK mission reward
Lotsa loot (meh lets say 2mill ISK cos I'm lazy and I just refine all but stuff that is worth bucketloads)
19 mill ISK (+LP) for faaar less than 2 hours playtime.
Thats decent enough reward imo.

The funny thing about the internet, is no matter how right you are, no matter how hard you own someone, you can *edit* (almost) never do or say anything which can compell them to admit it (even to themsevles).

I'm a missile user and omg I love the missile overhaul. Having to wait 40 seconds for a missile to hit put me to sleep earlier. The need speeds make combat so much better. The lesser damage to small ships isn't THAT bad. I'm enjoying the new level of strategy in my ship's loadout. Don't forget you can load light missiles into larger launchers, if need be :X

Originally by: Golden Ratio On demand soloable battleship spawns which give good loot, good bounties, and GREAT mission rewards and are in 1.0 space needed to be nerfed a little, don't you think? You can STILL do many missions which give great rewards in empire, but now you wont get quite so much isk from it. This is balancing.
Not giving it a slight nerf would be "rather daft."
How can you argue against this?
Make things harder to push for groups, not a problem. but when you nerf the spoils gained from it, then there is no incentive to group to do them as you can gain isk or whatever doing other things. I never said it didnt have to change, but they went a bit over the top. If they want team work and groupings they need to give incentive for it to happen.

Yes they are.
And it is really funny about this crying that the almighty torps don't work any more. I like the patch, as it took the overpower of a Raven and other Missleboats. Yes, I'm flying a Raven and I really liked it and I still like it. I also fly a Megathron and now what the changes in Tracking of Turrets made in first. Same happens to Missle boats now which is about time. Train the skills up in general and not only Missle Launcher 4, Torpedos and Caldari Battleship and then go and kill everything. It brings more balance to the game at all. Good work :D Mixed fleets and especially Frigate Pilots will have more fun again

The missile nerfs have screwed over my PvE Kessie. Missile combat is far too fast at short ranges.

try looking in Caldari Space. NPC-Supply is known to be in Citadel, at least has been right after patch came up... dunno how it is now

Can't see what the problem is to be honest, trained for Caldari and Gallente BS's and all smaller class ships.
Training takes time, I trained all the relevant skills for Inties and AF's, then carried on with the bigger ships. Nearly got Lrg Rail Special.
I think some people think that we should all be equal
As soon as Lrg Rail Special is done with I'll move on to progressing with my missile skills, and until then I wont bother flying around in my trusty Raven.
There are other ships out there to do your missions in

You know it's amazing how the only people that are loving the patch change are miners and non-caldari races. Strange that as I sit in my station now in my mission raven thinking about what im going to do?
Logging of seems very appealing right now... Suppose i could fly around the station a few times? Better not risk going to a gate or anywhere else in-case i run into a few guristas frigs and, low and behold. My torps do an amazing 12 damage to them.
So what did I do before the patch. Well. My corp is a merc corp. In between contracts etc we all did missions to get the money up a bit before our next contract. This worked well. I've spent my entire history with Eve going right from level 1's to level 4's, building my way up the agents. Getting the best ship and fittings I could to do them.
Now dont get me wrong. Maybe the missiles did need a bit of a nerf and bringing into line with the rest of the weaponry. But 12 damage on a torp? And your not thinking that is slightly excessive? All the money I collected and saved to get my arb launchers and dread BC and what are they good for now? Paper weights.
I thought lvl 5's were going to be the team lvl's? I enjoyed lvl 4's. I enjoyed playing the game how i wanted to play it. Can't stand mining. Don't want to trade or anything like that. Can't you guys at CCP listen and get rid of this bloody ridiculous nerf as you've reduced all my training to nothing.
The amount of time and effort i've put into this game makes me sick now.

How about reading up on the changes and finding out *WHY* your torps are only doing 12 damage....
wait, what's that, you might need to change your setup.... ONOES what ever will you do.
Fit some smaller launchers... then go kill the gueristas, than realise that there's a load of skills you can train to make things even better for yourself.

@DjDangle: At least the Torps hit all the time for 12. Try it with large guns on fast frigates. have fun :D It is to adjust the setup and not only fitting Siege Launchers.
And yes, I am Caldari

Whats done is done, Cold War is patched and there's no reversing. So this aint a whine or call to change - it's just the truth and it hurts. The Devs hav just crapped on the last 4 months of my training, and my ship, everything that i enjoyed is now no more. This is a nerf to much for me. What if i train something else for 4 months and they crap on that to? no thanks. Pure gutted. Anyway, nothing i can do now and my useless pvp ship is now useless in pve aswell, later EVE and all who reside within, i'm cheakin out.

I wouldn't have got used to doing lvl 4's and skilled up for the past 6 months specifically for them along with the other thousands of players that are now left thinking, Well, sh*t? What now. I know, i'll quit eve.
The new missile skills. While on first glance seem ok. Take a closer look and you'll realise they have just put them in there to hide the fact that anyone that specialised in missiles pre-patch might as well go work in the local mcDonalds in a station in 1.0 sec space coz your not much good at doing anything else in game now.

Well i got to agree djdangle, this nerf was way to excessive and they have treid to cover it up with the new skills. Also there propaganda machine was workin overtime trying to convince us prepatch that this wasnt even a nerf. As to those who say why are you all complaining now well i complained before and was not listened to. ccp will do what they want they dont give a damn what anyone thinks, the only time theyll change is when they start losing to many accounts.

just another quicky for ya all a nice phrase they should have kept in mind.
"if it aint broke dont fix it"
missles cost more cause you pay for onboard navigation engines etc so no skills are needed it should be preprogrammed and use it gudance system to track targets.
turrets etc have to aim and fire shells enrgy etc the shells have no onbord gudance systems and really on accurate pre programmed info ie they cost less and are lesss accurate.
i chalange anyone to deny this fact.

If you're that scared of frigates in your Raven, mount 2x target painters and cruise missiles. They already deal decent damage to frigates that way _without_ any of the new skills.

actually you'd be surprised that lots of missiles on the market are way overpriced..., but still, a guidance System, no matter how good, can be tricked, or outrun if you're fast enough. There is no system that guarantees 100% chance of hit on a sporadically moving target. And well, I'm one of those people who think that Missiles were more than broken, and have now been fixed.

Large Turrets are still quite ineffective on small and fast moving targets, unless their lack is compensated via other systems and/or skills. It's not that they did anything on turrets, beside correcting some things that were not right... (in this patch).

Nope, sorry, my small railguns, light/heavy missiles, webbers and all that stuff still works fine against frigs (if this is PVE you're talking about). And the drones, too, af course. "Everybody" did not have cruises fitted vs. frigates. I personally don't even have cruise missile skills, and I'm in the 20m sp ballpark.
So your automatic "kill frigate" button no longer works? Tragic, that is.
