This mission is deathtrap - once you are in you can't escape.
6 Spider II drones will web and scrable while 2 True Sansha Tyrants + 5/6 Sentries lvl 2 will slowly kill you ( I managed to hold ~ 3 min in sup tanked Apoc)
Any advices how to solo it are gladly axepted, especially from people who managed to finish this mission.

What range(orbit) is the drones at?

Hehe, i feel your pain 
Decided to do a mission today and got this one, havent done lvl 4 in ages, only bs i had near was my tempest. Damn thing blew up in about 2 mins Only thing i could think of when i saw the spider drones was oh shiiit i got no webbers. Nasty mission, but should be doable solo. You will def need dual webbers to kill the spider drones and after they are gone take down the bs and structures i guess.

did the guristas one today, pretty much the same, 6 spider 2, 3 cruise i think, 2 dread ravens
i used 8 med drones to kill the spiders, while i first took out the turrets then the ravens, was damn close going, but did manage it in the end.
and yes, i used a shield tanked raven and torps
Edit: the spiders dont scramble full time either, they all seam to cycle and give you a window to escape if needed

well thanks to the missile changes, im staying away from lvl 4's for the time being but i used to just torp the spider drones. Wait till they start to orbit and a couple torps eat them up.
Im guessing torps dont work on drones anymore?

Did you miss the 17,562 posts entitled "OMG You nerfed missiles I'm quitting the game!" ?
Big missiles don't hit small ships very effectively now.

I took this mission specifically because it had no webbers or scramblers the 80 other times I ran it. I did not have a chance to refit for small stuff, so I went in just to pop the big guys to see how torps did after the patch.
Needless to say, boom went my phoon, even with a good tank. 8 Medium drones did not even kill one spider drone before I was in critical shape.
Yayy for insurance, but c'mon people. The spider drones were outside smartbomb range, had I even been equipped for that.
Boo.

I read this post too late.... i loosed my Megathron in this mission lev 4.
4 Hardener armor, L reparer, 8 Heavy drones and a Stasis Webifier and 3 minutes later my megathron exploded. !!¿
Before the patch, i did this mission in 20' easy.
Now it is too dangerous to make this mission solo and like the bouty are cut in half it is not more interesting to do this mission with two or three players.
I will leave the mission for the moment and wait to have better guns against drones II to go back.
I don't know what i will do now, perhaps pirating or rats in belt in the deadspace... :-(

i am doing this missino right now, and i am facing 2 Spider Drone II's, 4 Sentry's and 2x2.5m sansha tyrants or something, yes its alot harder now, i have trouble taking down the drones, i only use 2 medium beams =/ takes a while to kill em tbh, meanwhile the rest dish out crazy dmg

Finished the mission a bit earlier on.Yup,a real deathtrap.A friend of mine got blasted the day before so i woz warned.
Fitted out apoc with a heat hardener,and 3 large reps,and had a cap recharge rate of 134 secs. Glad i had a support cruiser repping me,cause even with 3 large tech II repairers running I would have been blown within 2 minutes.
There seemed to be less spider drones,only 2,while some people have got 6 of them.Sentries start out at 60km and they hit really heavy.
So don't do this one alone...You'll surely die

anyone doing lvl4 missions should know that shield tanking npc like sansha is not easy. this person would also know that he needs to be able to take out frigs fast to have the option to warp out if needed.
same deal goes for armor tankers vs angel/minmatar npc's.
ps: anyone notice torp spamming raven noobs attacking the forums since the patch? goes to show how eve has been infested by these low skilled uber raven pilots
even I need to warp out while doing some lvl4 missions, and I got over 30mil sp amarr only.

I just soloed the serp version of this.
Only 2 spider drones, I think Zrakor may have toned it down from six.
It took me three warp outs on a well setup Apoc. And I lost Bertie, one of my drones
It seemed tougher, thats for sure.

I tried the gurista version. The drones werent a problem, though it took about 45 seconds to do a 180 degree turn in my megathron.. but their spider drones went down pretty quick against my 8 ogres. all the other ships werent a problem, but i couldnt ***** the 1.5mil ravens shields, and i couldnt keep the tank on for ever.
I cancelled the mission.

I was reading this thread all scared that I might run into the mission without realizing it.. then just tonight I was going through my mission logs and apparently what I feared had happened, I went through the mission without realizing it was duo of death.. and i finished it..
dunno if caldari is easier?

I think it's 4 spider2s, 3 cruise missle sentries and 2 insanely tanked ravens for the caldari one.
this one is just within reason. I was prepared so I had little trouble (even had to warp out when i had the 2 ravens left). If the others are harder there is no way in hell this is fair. Now because of how hard it is but because you have almost no time to react.
Can't believe I finished this mission the first time without warping out and without really stressing it. I must have had some lucky shots against some of the ships... or maybe the target painter made that much of a difference? webs sure made it easy on my drones though.

WTF.
First Raven I took out just as I needed to reload my first cruise launcher.
I have no clue how many times I had to reload for the other.. damn he took forever to kill. I had him down to like 10% structure, I would blink and his shields would go back up to 50% as my torps and cruise missles were hitting him. Then id' get him back down to structure and .. SHIELD BOOST, 50% shields.
what a pain in the ass.

Yes, CCP have found about 1,623 different ways to nerf level 4 missions. I don't suppose we'd mind so much if the super-enhanced mission bosses like the 1.5m BS duo in this mission actually dropped good stuff, but 100 small ammo seems a bit ...under par for the container-ship's worth of torps I fired at them.
Not sure if the number of spider drones has been cut back recently to 2 from 6 or not - don't want to lose a ship finding out, either...

I found this quite challenging and got it again.
This time I dropped a heatsink for a new improved 1600mm rolled tungsten plate.
Without the plate I take more damage than I can repair so I have to warp out.
The situation WITH the plate is obviously similar - I still take more damage than I can repair. However - I have such an ungodly amount of armour I finished the mission with just one warp out.
Hurray for new setups and thanks for making the plates useful - I would have never taken up a slot with them pre-patch.

Just ran a caldari one...
No change here except for adding 2 cruise launchers. Takes a full bay of torps for each bs...
Never went under 50% cap

not if the Spider II orbit at 7536m. what they actually do
BTW i did this mission and was very suprised of the change post / pre patch. was a little scared. but got out alive.
but not to mention the infested outpost mission.

Lots of drones to take out the spider drones. Then you can at least warp out if needed
