Techell proudly presents the new Capital Ship Department. We are produceing all aviable Freighter types: Caldari: Charon Gallente: Obelisk Amarr: Providence Minmatar Fenrir Currently our engineers are already busy with building the first Charon, which will leave our factory at Sa,23.7 at 18:00 EVE Time.
Production plan: Charon: 23.7 Obelisk: 26.7 Providence: 30.7 Fenrir : early next month (no exact date yet)
Fix prices will come soon, but the first freighters will go to the rich and unpatient customers. Are you interested in getting a freighter and want to be one of the first to pilot one? Catch me ingame or send me your offer, all except the Charon (already sold) are still aviable. Minimum price for this first production line is 1.8 bil! (Charron for example is promised for 2 bil)
For all those who will cry out loud about the price some hard facts: -Techell invested 18 bil in Freighter BPO`s and Capital Parts -nearly no research done yet to compete in the first freighter race -You need 85 to 105 cargo bays for one freighter, and one cargo bay takes 3,5 hours to produce + the freighter itself takes around 12 days until finished -Huge logistical work: We currently have 15 factory slots working 24 hours a day only for the freighter department, which consume over 50 mil of trit and 10 mil of pyer per day (+ all other mineral types too) -at this stage of research, production cost is nearly 1 bil (note that we produce all capital parts ourself)
All freighters will be aviable and handed out at Algogille XIII Fed Navy Station (delivery to safe space is only possible for the Obelisk, thats the one i can fly, and to be honest i would LOVE to deliver that one)
So grab your chance and contact me if you want one of those beauties!

To be perfectly honest with you I would say that the price is fair for the present time to reflect on demand and the tremendous amount of time and effort being put into the production of just 1 ship. The amount made on the sale won't go too fair sitting in the wallets of all the people involved.
So if you can sell it for that, then go for it. I would say its a fair price

would you sell copys of the bp's and how much? i.e. 1 run amarr freighter x run cargo (the exact amount needed to build) x run propulsion x run armour x run parts
would save your mins and still make sone cash out of it. (only looking for info atm) ------------------------------------------------ fabiusbile Director of R&D

while I can't speak for them of course, I can tell you that the BPO copy time is "painful" to say the least on the Capital level craft and IIRC the components as well. Also the component copies don't get many runs so you would need many of them for all you needed to make and that would compound the copy time problem.
I think that the devs should really look at the capital ship component BPO's and possibly allow for more runs to be put into a BPC (not a whole lot, just some more) so that while it would be a long copy time still, it wouldn't be completely overwhelming to the possibility of seeing BPC's for the components even if not very common.

The Interstellar Starbase Syndicate requires an Obelisk for our POS fuel hauls. I'll see if we can work something out. 1.8bil sounds like a lot and knowing the costs it is still a bit of a stretch. I'll see what ISS can come up with between now and then.

Or maybe... possibly PE research may actually be worth something. Other than that put in advanced RnD Skills. We have advanced of most other skills so i can see it being years away that we get advanced building and research skills.
And yes 1.8b is a fair price for these considering the time effort and sheer mind numbing tedium that it takes to build one..... oh and then it will prolly get ****ted about 30 seconds out of a factory just to really make you want to kill yourself

Takes 6? weeks to make 1-run copy of the freighter BP. In that time you could make 5-6 actual freighters at a profit of around 800mil-1bil each. So to finance a 1-run copy it would need to be sold for at least 5bil to make it worth the time copying it... cheaper to buy the actual BPO.

But surley by selling bpc's as well as the ships it opens the market for them. Take me for instance, i dont have 1.8 bill to buy a freighter outright but may have the cash for some copys to build it myself. by making copys it opens the way for ppl like myself to get one of these giants thus generating more sales for them. ------------------------------------------------ fabiusbile Director of R&D

What are you talking about, it takes FIVE times a long to copy one, why copy one?? If it doesn't make sense it's not right. --

I'll put it simply for you. The BPO owners have two choices:
1. Make 5 billion ISK profit 2. Make 1 billion ISK profit
Option 1 happens to involve NOT copying the BPO.

First of all, thanks for the free bumps and positive feedbacks.
-"Techell back ?" Well, we actually never have been away, we just had a lot of internal problems with changing ceo`s, assets and stuff, but we never stopped selling bs`s and cruisers at algogille.
-To Fabiusbile, i am sorry, but no bpc production planned yet, i guess the first months all the bpo`s will stay either in me/pe research or production.
Keep the offers going!

Edited by: Unrah on 14/07/2005 10:52:32 Alright, the Charon and the Obelisk are currently under production and already sold, and to safe myself a lot of mailing: Providence will enter factory in 2 days, Fenir in about 5 days. Highest offer will get the freighter when it leaves factory, or you have the option to secure you the right on my first Providence or Fenir for 2.2 bil isk. If more bidders take the buyout on the same freighter, timestamp on the mail or forum entry will taken into account, first come first serve. My promise that even if i should get bids over 2.2 bil isk after your buyout offer, it still will be yours.
Something else, any capital part producers in around 10 jump range of algogille who still got unsold stock or got his production for the next 3 days not already promised, pls get in touch with me. Slowly i get to the max capacity of our factories.

Providence is reserved and under production. Next Freighter in line is either a Fenrir or another Obelisk. (will be aviable at 30.7 then) Depending on which offer is higher or goes in first.
