*A camera feed opens to reveal a hustling scene. Hundreds of chattery Caldari are gathered in a crowded plaza - men and women, young and old; the majority of them are armed with weapons. A stage rests against the entrance of a building, and Korsavius can be seen exiting and walking up to a podium. He is accompanied by several heavily armed soldiers.*
My fellow Statesmen!
*He pauses for a few moments, allowing the noise within the crowd to subside slightly. His face is blank with expression, he taps his right hand lightly on the podium either out of fear, anxiety, excitement, or all three. He sighs before continuing.*
We are currently living in most troubled times. Uprising and dissent plague our State. The proxi-war established years ago isn't necessarily going in our favor. Many corporations are feeling an increasing financial strain. The State is suffering.
When Tibus Heth first rose to power, he was a symbol of hope for a brighter future - a stronger State. To his credit, we were able to take back Caldari Prime. We were able to experience an economic growth not seen in decades. We were able to feel, for the first time in years, proud to be Caldari.
Tibus Heth took advantage of his popularity, however. He was able to achieve a position in the State that no man has prior. He alone rules this State with an iron fist. His Provist forces keep a tight leash on the hard-working citizens of the State, and silence those who dare wish for a return of the proper State - one in which the Big Eight do not bow down to one man! This man of hope has now morphed into a tyrannical dictator who oppresses his own people, us, the true and honest laborers of the State!
The time to rise is now!
*The crowd immediately erupts into cheers and yelling. Korsavius speaks with an even louder, more impassioned voice.*
Join me, my fellow Statesmen, join the movement for a return to a natural State! A State in which the commanman isn't silenced by a corrupt government! A State in which children and wives do not have to fear being orbitally bombarded by those who should be protecting them! A State in which our ancestors, who fought so hard to secure and establish, will be proud of!
*Dropships bearing insignias of the Provists can be seen rapidly approaching beyond the skyline. Some within the crowd begin to panick and flee, but almost all hold their ground and prepare. Korsavius reiterates, in a softened tone.*
The time to rise is now. The days when proud Caldari men and women bow down to one man are over.
*As the dropships approach the scene, Provist soldiers begin rappling down ropes to control the rally. Korsavius, facial expression still blank, takes his blaster pistol out of its holster and prepares it. The camera feed cuts off* |

Certainly, seems like the Caldari scene is quite turbulent right now. Yet, in any case, I believe your cause if just: not only Tibus Heth is a dangerous man, but he clearly is undeserving of the position he holds, for the State should not be governed by one man alone but by the corporations. As different as this may be to my homeland in Amarr, I value traditions, and the traditions of the State have to follow their course, and their rightful rulers should be the ones to guide their country, not the self-appointed ones.
I wish you luck on your quest to bring the Caldari back to their traditional forms, captain Korsavius. Sepherim Catillah; Ex-Imperial Navy Officer |

Indeed, Sepherim, turmoil boils from the cauldron of the Caldari state as the flame of change burns, but for now we are only just seeing the smoke rise. Something I learned long ago is that where smoke rises a flame is sure to follow, and I am not so naive as stoke the fire.
So long as the people rally, there will be true Caldari to serve their interests and not the agenda of a tyrant. I can only wish them luck in the days to come. Captain Marcus Horalen 6th Svalinn Wing, GIN |

Is this an official declaration of aggression against the Caldari Providence Directorate by the Ishuk-Raata Enforcement Directive and by extension of its subsidiary status, Ishukone Corporation itself?
Just curious.

I speak as a recently-departed employee of I-RED, and a member of the Caldari diaspora.
For too long, have I watched from a distance to see this individual tyrant, Tibus Heth steal the State from us all. For the sake of his own individual ambition and ego, we Caldari have paid the price for it with a State that is corrupted, destroyed and rent apart. The spirit and the soul of the State is at stake here.
Even now as the so-called "Patriot" megacorps of Kaalakiota, Lai Dai and Wiyrkomi reap record-shattering profits from their efforts of keeping the Tyrant Heth in his throne and the perpetuation of his war, hundreds and thousands of precious Caldari lives are shed every day for the glory of his ego! He has undone the decades of toil, sweat and tears that we as a collective have spent in rebuilding the State and making it great.
I now wear the badge of the Federal Defense Union not out of love for the Federation, but for the purpose of conventional and asymmetric warfare against the Tyrant Heth. As I contribute towards the eventual loss of the war for Black Rise for the Tyrant Heth, the "Patriot" megacorps will see their investments in Black Rise sour, and have little to no reason left to keep him on his undeserved throne.
Rise up, children of KGÇÖvire and Deteaas! Amongst the Winds, their souls weep and howl through the valleys of our beloved homeworld at the corruption of what we are. True Caldari capsuleers who wish to see this war of personal ambition come to a swift end ought to consider joining the FDU in its efforts to destroy KK's, Lai Dai's and Wiyrkomi's investments in Black Rise. To my planetbound brothers and sisters: fear not, for you are not alone in your plight and your cause!
I borrow Korsavius words, and hereby declare the days when proud Caldari men and women bow down to one man are over! |

One would think that if one were attempting to represent themselves as a CONCORD loyalist then one would, in fact, work to maintain an air of neutrality as regards the specific policies and leadership of CONCORD signatory nations. There is that whole issue of the CONCORD nations wishing to maintain sovereignty, after all.
Or do you think it appropriate that CONCORD should begin telling its member nations how to conduct their affairs? Who gets to head them? What laws they put in place? I rather think that is slightly outside of the purview of CONCORD as it was originally envisioned. Has this changed? Have the four princes been put into their place, and the true king raises his head once again? |

And sometimes your neutrality must be shifted in light of major evidence to shake up that neutrality. Besides, he may be a CONCORD loyalist, but he isn't a decision maker IN CONCORD. He's allowed his opinion while maintaining his professional neutrality.
He can say Heth should be shot, but not make a single move to actually act out and shoot him or any Caldari ship obeying the law per CONCORD neutrality.

Actually it's not. Grideris was a major player in the Anti-Nation actions a couple of years back, claiming to be working on behalf of CONCORD. I happen to believe that a member of an organization who is rather high on the totem pole, as it were, needs to be careful about what they say, as they are taken to be representatives of that group. I am simply wondering if FCORD is no longer considering themselves CONCORD loyal (as CONCORD is supposed to be made up equally of members of all five signatory empires, including the state, and that applies to whomever happens to be leading at the moment, unless you expect the Federation to have to resign oaths and acts every time they have an election).
In this case, a representative of CONCORD is now attempting to encourage a rebellion against one of the sovereign empires that makes up CONCORD. This constitutes an interference by someone aligned to CONCORD in the personal affairs of a separate, sovereign nation-member of that agreement.
And just because it is happening with the state today doesn't mean that it can't happen with the federation, republic, or empire tomorrow.
You have to examine your membership and loyalty to that organization. It was sold to you as a service, but it has become, as all services do, your master. |

You're being really nit picky about this. He is from an independent Alliance that considers itself CONCORD aligned. They aren't given special powers by CONCORD. They aren't official reps. As far as I can tell, they can say whatever they want, it doesn't mean they just switched sides. He has an opinion. Opinions are different than policy implementation.

When a head of state of a signatory nation has breached the very Treaty he is supposed to acknowledge, I do not think that you are asking the right question.
Mr Grideris statement was indeed probably of bad form and out of place, since I believe that as you say, you can not express a feeling to see a head of state you dislike being deposed while supporting CONCORD at the same time.
But I too - CONCORD supporter - hold a dislike for Heth-haan, not ad personam mind you, but for the actions he has allowed to happen, as much as it pains me to say it.
However and unfortunately, I doubt that CONCORD has any law regarding the punishement of its member states when they deliberately decide to violate said Treaty. Or else the Elders and the Caldari State would already have been held accountable for the war they caused.
The Elders, of course, are nowhere to be found and not part of the Treaty signatories. The Providence Directorate, however, is. |

Unlike the Chief Executive Panel, Caldari Navy, Ishukone Corporation, even Intara Directive Action, there I have not found a CONCORD database entry for the Caldari Providence Directorate.
To my knowledge, despite the high-profile news regarding the CPD and Heth-haan, the Chief Executive Panel remains to this day the State's body dealing with interstellar politics. The CEP's members may have ceded many powers to the CEO of KK/CC/Ytiri and be proclaimed "Chief Executor" by the State populace, but the fundamental structures of the State's governance remained intact. The CEP, while taking a back seat, still administered its multitude of functions on behalf of the State's member corporations and the CBT still remained the primer third-party judiciary in the cluster, managing contract conflicts throughout the jurisdiction of CONCORD.
The actions of the CPD do not directly reflect upon the actions of the CEP, which did sign the Yulai accords, not the CPD. Lai Dai Infinity Systems |

I am deeply appalled at the events that took place at the Malkalen rally. Ishukone-Raata echos the statements of the Ishukone Watch when they state that the CDP used an excessive and completely unnecessary use of force when dealing with a peaceful rally. To the families of the deceased, I wish to apologies on behalf of the Ishukone-Raata Enforcement Directive, and we will ensure compensation reaches all the families involved in this tragic event.
We will be investigating this matter, along with members of the Ishukone Watch and will be taking appropriate actions accordingly based on information found. Our employee, Captain Lavius will be detained until the investigation is finalized.
This was a unfortunate incident that could have been avoided if the CDP had taken their issues through the proper channels instead of violating the rights of Ishukone citizens. A incident I hope they learn from.
That being said, I-RED will be continuing its efforts along side Provist forces in Black Rise to ensure the stability and liberties of State citizens are kept intact. The words of Captain Lavius are in fact his own and Ishukone-Raata will continue to respect his rights as a individual to speak out, though they do not officially reflect our organization as a whole.

Caldari militia forces are not provists.
The violation of Ishukone employees by extra-corporate forces is intolerable. Whether Patriot, Practical, or Liberal, the corporations come before the Providence Directorate. I cannot speak for the entirety of the State Protectorate, but the majority do not fight for Heth. The CEP is the leader of the State, and of the State Protectorate, and Heth and his provists serve at the discretion of the CEP.

Of course not.

Well, walking a tightrope is all about maintaining a proper stance, is it not?
Regardless, I understand if jaijii and hnolku fail to understand how simple it is for us to continue assisting our capsuleer allies in the warzone while also disavowing the personal opinions of Korbin Lavius. Once you separate the Caldari people from the tools that control them, in your mind, things suddenly become more clear.
Our "old systems" have jumped every "new" hurdle for thousands of years. Why should we suddenly change it now?

Our current system is failing us, as it failed us before. By jumping these hurdles, as you say, the Caldari state has fallen into a stagnant position in intergalactic politics and we have become weak. While some remnants of the old Caldari tradition must be maintained, I disagree that we may proceed along a path of greatness by bearing our teeth and leaning into the proverbial wind.

I am not surprised that this would be coming from an Ishukone loyalist. The State has never been as the Ishukone would want it to be. Still, it is second in being the best place of habitat in the galaxy. But without straight prejudice, the Ishukone Corporation's ties with the Gallente cannot be denied. Neither their well-established and all to liberal views. The ideas, loyalty and ideology in this post is honourable. But at some point, one should not take these as something consistent.
In any case, As a former citizen of the Caldari State, I have felt all these feelings. I have since then oblitirated them in favour of my calling to the Empire.
Dictatorship does not necessarily result in development, defined by human well-being(which incorporates education, health, income, and safety from internal and external threats)and even by personal discipline. Furthermore, there is no conclusive evidence proving that either dictatorship nor democracy cause development.
The problem is not the man alone. Complete human formation is solution to dictatorship of relativism Tibus Heth is also a non-capsuleer. Thus his time is limited. His reign has given the Caldari more than they could've hoped.
Our immortal bodies will take us to a time without Heth, weither we want it or not. |

Heth may have given us a quick fix to our national ailment, but it was hardly keeping the path true. When Heth took control he appointed those loyal to him into positions of power based on his own definition of merit while stripping everyone of their title and status above a certain level and demanding that they earn it back. How many had spent their lives building up to their positions only to have it stripped away by a sanctimonious usurper? He gave the Caldari a purpose and a renewed vitality, but that only goes so far until the lull of stagnant society rears its ugly head again.
Our direction was never corrected, merely obscured, and now its clear that the tumors were merely removed but the cancer never treated.

*A camera feed opens. It appears to be mounted on a desk, the camera lens facing Korsavius who is sitting with his hands folded. He wears no uniform, but instead clothing that can typically be seen on any common citizen. Behind him is an empty bookcase - it seems almost every item in the office has been packaged.*
My fellow Statesmen.
*He pauses briefly.*
I deliver this with a somewhat humbled tone - humbled by the reactions of both jaijii and kirjuun. Some of the reactions have surprised me, while others have not.
I've never considered myself to be much of an orator...as such, I am not sure how to proceed..but...
*He looks down at his folded hands, releasing a sigh, then returns his gaze into the camera*
I have been told..ordered..to keep to myself and cease any hostilities to Heth and his administration. The truth is, I cannot. I will not. I refuse to obey an order that, if followed, will continue to allow Heth and his forces to strain and drain my home, my people.
I understand the ramifications of my decision, and I accept them. If Ishukone wishes to suspend my citizenship, and I-RED to terminate my employment contract - then I will honor those decisions.
When our ancestors felt the disconnection between themselves and the Gallente, they rose to the occasion and stood firm to their beliefs. Let my actions be echoed with the same grace as theirs.
*He pauses for a few moments before continuing.*
My family arrived in the State not as citizens, but as victims of an unchecked black market trade. As if my some cosmic coincidence, some grand scheme, I was born into existence. I was a lucky one, however. Many children born under the same conditions as I never get to see the light of day, constantly toiling away at mine shafts, production facilities, or station warehouses.
My family was given a second chance, however. An opportunity which we used to "earn our stripes", so to speak, while anyone else in the right mind would have fled to greener pastures. My father would never live long enough to earn his, but my mother and myself bled, sweat, and worked as tirelessly as any ethnic Caldari to earn our place. But, even so, there was always certain Caldari who would look upon us with animosity - a gaze of indifference.
When I finally decided to pursue formal education, it was recommended that I attend school within the Federation or Republic instead, and so I did. Even when in company of my "blood brethren" in the Republic, I experienced the same animosity I did back in the State, only amplified. I managed through, though, and when I graduated promptly returned to the State.
While I was glad to be home, I couldn't help but feel confused and torn apart. I carried these feelings with me for many years, and eventually decided to confide in traveling. Only until recently, I never truly understood what it meant to be Caldari. The frigid Sebeistor homeland of Mikramurka on Matar is highly remarkable. I discovered I have a natural affinity to it, but could never figure out why. Well, now I know why.
The cold, arctic winds carressed my skin. Rather than torment my fragile body, they cradled it - welcomed it. When my meditation was complete, I rose rejuvenated. Even on those cold, inhospitable lands so far from home I felt the bond between my soul and that of State ancestors. I felt what it means to be Caldari.
*He sinks his head, watching his hands as his fingers twiddle around slightly before returning to a more formal posture.*
And so, people of the cluster, make no mistake. To be Caldari is not confined to a single race, I am just one of many who can testify. Beneath this Brutor skin, Caldari spirit runs through these veins. And it is with that Caldari spirit that I summon the strength and courage to denounce Heth and his corrupt Provist government. It is with that Caldari spirit that I take a stand, while so many others continue to remain silent, either in fear or indecisiveness. It is with that Caldari spirit that I rise against corruption and oppression, even if I rise alone.
And so, I reiterate.
I understand the ramifications of my decision, and I accept them. If Ishukone wishes to suspend my citizenship, and I-RED to terminate my employment contract - then I will honor those decisions.
I will also honor the memory of those who sacrificed so much to create what they did. And if that means I must sacrifice so much as well, then it shall be done.
*He leans forward a bit.*
Heth-kirjuun, your time has passed.
*Korsavius terminates the camera feed.* |

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen.
It raises a lot of questions when the Corporate Security Director of a Caldari Megacorporation feels the need to come to the Intergalactic Summit to make a statement.
This is rumor control, and here are the facts:
Ishukone watch, and by extension Ishukone itself, did not hesitate for a second to both back and assist the Ishuk-Raata Directive when this incident occured. It is our belief that the Caldari Provincial Directorate acted with an immensely heavy hand, and without thought or regard for the safety of Caldari citizens during its breakup of the demonstration that occurred early on Tuesday morning.
Aid, supplies and skilled support personnel were immediately flown in to assist the already diligently working staff of the Ishuk-Raata Directive. Through their fast action and skilled judgement, many lives of those who were critically injured were saved.
As was stated in the press release made by myself on Tuesday directly after the incident, the fact is that four citizens of the State lost their lives needlessly in a vicious attack on a peaceful protest. This attack was designed for the simple objective of intimidating State citizens and sending a message. That objective has failed.
In the last five years, Ishukone has lost so much, including an irreplaceable leader who represented exactly what it means to be Caldari. There will not be a repeat of those events.
We hold our heads high with pride, and we vow that Ishukone Watch will not hesitate to defend the assets and personnel of the Ishukone Corporation and its subsidiaries to the full extent of our capability should they be threatened again.
The blood of those fallen Caldari who were taken from us on Tuesday is on the hands of the Caldari Provincial Directorate.
That is all.

Good evening, Summit.
Some of you may remember me, some may not. For those who do not, my name is Varlerian Ti'kihli Surkousa. I retired from intergalactic affairs more than a year ago, and spent my time quietly managing a small-time company on my homeworld of Abagawa IV. It was quite nice, I already miss relaxing the warm tropical sun which has since been replaced by working in cold, grey metal prisons...
However, recent events have forced my hand, and I have since decided to end my retirement temporarily. I could not afford to sit relaxed and idle any longer while the State continues to spiral into an ever deeper political abyss.
So, I have renewed security contracts, among other things, with the Corporate Police Force and Hyasyoda. Let it be known that I support my friends in I-RED, and by extension Ishukone and Ishukone Watch. The State is fractured, let us begin to mend Her together once more. |
