Our February point release EVE Online: Retribution 1.1 is approaching swiftly to bring you exciting content and useful improvements.
Read CCP Fear's latest dev blog about Corporation recruitment improvements which will make live considerably easier for both applicants and recruiters in all the player run corporations of New Eden (and we have plenty of them).
The dev blog is available here.
We welcome you to use this thread for your constructive feedback! CCP Phantom - German Community Coordinator - Volunteer Manager |

Peter Powers wrote:one thing about recruitment that i'd love to see, would be that i can invite people to join the fantastic world behind the eve gate, by mail, by link or whatever,
and they will be placed in the newbie corp of my alliance. (and that would be enough of a reward to me)
This intrigues me. Can you explain yourself a little better?

I like it! There are some definite technical hurdles we might have to look into but in general I like the idea. |

An automated/custom rejection mail would be good too, as the current one is "WE DON'T LIKE YOU. REJECTED!", but I'll settle for this. For now. :)
How does this interact with DUST? I assume the next DUST release will have its version of Apply>Accept>Mail>Join also, or will it stay with the current mechanics?
Any member of Pony Express will gladly share a drink with all those willing and able during Fanfest!
Allowing editing of the other mails sent out should not pose any serious problems. Will bring it up with the team.
As for DUST, it will stay with the current mechanics. I am not aware of any pending changes to that. |

Valkyrs wrote:Very nice! WIll we be able to send invites to DUST 514 characters, and can they accept them? I have some rather daft friends.
Keep up the good work CCP!
No, DUST characters will follow the old scheme of things so that once you accept the application they're yoinked into your corp. And then if I don't fix the defect I have they'll never be able to apply to it again if they ever leave it. But I plan on fixing that so don't worry. But whether or not DUST will move to this system in their next client update is unknown and not for Team Pony Express to decide.
As for the "Rejected Application" notification we reworked that a bit. It now contains more things such as politeness and less of all caps words with negative connotations.
I don't want to promise anything about any other sort of automatic mails, but you can always leave instructions in your fancypants recruitment ads. Recruitment ads are great! Everybody should have at least three! Teen! Threeteen! I made that number up. FANCY!
As for FanFest promises of sweet, sweet libations I will of course gladly accept. It will perhaps numb some of the painful memories associated with learning to work our UI framework for more than a spreadsheet and a button. But I have CCP Karkur sitting a meter away from me so that all worked out in the end. So it was really a team effort to get this done while keeping me from going postal. So they all deserve liquid gratitude! And I believe CCP Fear prefers champagne @CCP_PrismX EVE Database Developer and Expert Ranter Member of Team Pony Express |

Pinky
Currently it will just sit there. But I think this is something we need to address in some fashion. I will bring it up with the team. |

- No official day has been set for Retribution 1.1 hitting TQ.
- PrismX has already added the ability to withdraw an invite from a corp to a player based on feedback from this thread.
- We can look into more edit-able mails other than the welcome mail.
- Portraits should show!
- Reverse recruitment (player advertising themselves) has been talked about for years now. It is a much bigger task and I don't think that will happen in the near future.
- More details in the logs - Definetly! I would like to get it in 1.1, but I'm doubtful it will make it in time! (we had planned for it)
- Roles by themselves are bigger than we can handle right now. Specifying titles and roles during the invitation process is something I think is worth considering.
- I am still with CCP (obviously), and yes it's been a looong time since my last blog
 - Timers on invitations, I will bring this up as an option. Not sure about the ramification yet.
- There are filters available which allow you to see each section separately or any way you please, sorted by date.
