The end-game in Eve has never been about flying the biggest ship. It's always been about making the biggest difference or having an impact to the game. Whether that is in game through corp or alliance influence or through the CSM or through other means, the game is more than flying the biggest. It's about being the best you can be. I, for one, welcome our new frigate overlords.

Couldn't be bothered to read this whole thread.
Sandbox games by definition have no "end game".
Speaking frankly, no MMO has an "end game". You can reach end of your personal life though waiting for new content in themepark MMOs, bored to death being a hero just like all the rest of em, while in a sandbox like EVE you reach "end game content" when your brain tells you it can't cope anymore or can't come up with new stuff to do.
That is when you take a break. Take a break and mourn your superCap is my advice. Come back when you see the depth that can be EVE again. |

Bigger is not better - it never has been before supers, never should have been, and hopefully never will be again.
There was a time when carriers and dreadnaughts were "the end game", however they were vulnerable if they didn't have support. A solo carrier/dreadnaught could be easily defeated by just a couple talented battleship pilots fit properly for the task. This is the way it should be.
If you want to be able to slaughter hundreds - even thousands of other players just because you have reached "the end game", then WoW is that way -------> |

Not CCP's responsibility. CCP's only role as far as "end game" is to muddle the mix every now and then when a large number of players think there is only one "end game." I think they've shown the ability to do that.
The players will determine a new "end game".

The end game in EVE has always been whatever you want it to be. Do you want to fly around all by yourself, shooting NPCs? Then the end game for you might be Level 5 missions, or it might be DED 10/10 complexes, or it might be Guristas Sanctums, or it might be farming COSMOS sites for their drops to put up on overpriced contracts. Do you want to fly in groups, shooting NPCs? The endgame for you might be 10-man Incursions, or it might be DED 10/10 complexes, or it might be Level 5 missions. Do you want to fly in a group of players, shooting other players? Then the end game for you might be a Rifter; or, it might be an Avatar; or, it might be a Hound; or, it might be a Tengu; or, it might be a Hurricane. The unique and endearing thing about EVE is that the game is completely lacking in content that is doled out for you as the correct course; instead, the game is literally whatever you make of it. |

If supers are your idea of "endgame" then you really should quit Eve and go play something like WoW. Then you can work to get all your top tier epic gear, and pat yourself on the back telling yourself that you won the game. Eve doesn't have a endgame and even if it did, it wouldn't be based off a certain ship class.
