Ever noticed there are 23 players that attempt to control the fourums?
If an idea is made they do not like they hammer that thread till it becomes a flame fest and it gets locked.
They constantly hijack a thread till again it gets locked.
If the Original poster is not liked by these people they hammer his thread untill it gets locked.
I dont know about the rest of the forums readers but this just kinda stinks to me.
In intrest to protect the guilty (they know who they are) I wont list the names I have collected in the last few days.
If you dont like an idea say so, and then let the thread alone.

To be honest The people the you say control the forums are the people who spend the most time on the forums. So when the same idea or issue keeps popping up over and over again it's understandable they get boared and just hammer the thread.

- Lets be able to choose how many high, med and low slots our ships have
- Lets increase PG of all ships by 25% and the same for CPU.
- 0.0 How to make it easy for the lazy and risk averse casual player : A daily Derisor topic (TM)
The list is endless. I love this game and would hate to see retards ruin it.
The 23 people you refer to (and I can guess them too) are mostly in favour of balance over their style of gameplay. They generally address the issues even though its usually in a caustic way.

I don't know about there being a magical number of 23, but I am convinced that there are several people who don't pay their monthly subscription to play, they just pay for the forum access to wave their "Look at me, look at me, I'm an attention *****" card around.
But I think there are quite a few people that if they left I wouldn't feel bad in the slightest.

I post a lot but I don't think I am in the 23. Some of us that post a whole lot are just bored at work and this forum is our way of staying in the game when we can't be playing the game.

Letting this thread stay actually, as all the prolific posters are here, and not trolling other places.
Maybe we should start one of these self-love/investigative reports threads daily, to keep the forum fiends active in one place. 
So, let's use this thread wisely.
One other thing though, directly related to the forums themselves:
Always remember to engage your brain before posting. Considering what affect that the words you type will have on the others reading it, and the potential replies that they may have to what you write, so as not to initiate flameage and trollage. This applies to thread starters, and thread posters nearly equally.
We at ISD really do try very hard to keep threads steered on a correct course, in accordance with the rules. Some threads are workable, some are not.
And as always, please don't discuss moderation in this thread or any other. That seems to happen alot lately, and speaking of me personally, I am getting tired of being forced by the rules to permanently document such posts.
Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

I think if you asked every one of those 23 to make their own list, you would get quite varied results...
I think the OP just needs to make her case on the threads that are important to her, and not whine about how the forums are controlled by players, that's an absurd notion to begin with.
Everyone has an equal voice on the forums. The only differences are in how posters are perceived by others, based on past discussions. The MOD's don't play favorites, not like the GM's do anyways. (Sorry, too easy )

Anyway, provided I'm on that list of 23 you secretly horde to yourself, I would like to think I don't hammer down anyone's ideas. I'm open-minded to the ideas of others.
One thing I've noticed is that some people (who shall remain nameless) absolutely refuse to accept a counter opinion, and will (to use your terms) "hammer" down all opposing opinions without giving even the slightest ground. That usually creates adversarial situations that nobody enjoys.
If people start a thread, be ready to have someone disagree with you. If you can't handle that possibility, then just lurk.
